There are three Brumbies that live over the fence and 5 other horses that will no doubt come and say hello. They are all friendly, especially if you have a carrot. There are also a lot of kangaroos and wallabies, some quite friendly as they have been raised by our neighbour who does animal rescue. There are also a lot of different species of birds, including the much-loved Black Cockatoos which are in abundance here. We have also seen turtles, frilled neck lizards, diamond pythons, red belly black snakes (rarely) and goannas.

Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. What an amazing camp site. The sites are large, there are a few powered sites but mostly unpowered. Cheryl and Rick were fantastic hosts. The river is stunning and they provide plenty of kayaks free of charge for you to use. The drop toilets are in impeccable condition. They provide farm tours for the kids to pat and feed animals, and their daughter sells fresh baked treats every afternoon to curb the sweet cravings. The camp site is only 30 minutes from Port Macquarie so very accessible. We will definately be back.

Great relaxing spot by the river. Easy to find. Beautiful breeze. Kangaroos in the paddock. Greeting by our hosts on arrival. They supplied a fire pit and a bag of fire wood for $20.00. Can top up with bore water if needed. Great location to come and go from to explore the area. We felt safe staying there and leaving our camp set up while we explored through the day. Nice relaxing few days 👏☀️

Great hospitality with a friendly greeting from the start. Great relaxing stay with a good size plot to set up the camper trailer and not be in each others pockets. Live fish jumping show in the creek provided some amusement with trying to capture visual of what it was. Close to the seafood restaurant on the river for a good feed also. Highly recommended. We really enjoyed our two-night stay over New Year’s. Super close to town but felt a million miles away from the crowds. Beautiful, well-kept grassy sites with plenty of space. Bill was easy to deal with, quick to reply, and helped us with a morning check-in so we could explore and visit friends in Hat Head without worrying about our van. Thanks Bill!

We (3 adults, 2 children) loved staying on Greg and Jamie's property. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The spot is great for fishing and bird watching, yet is such a short drive into Harrington for more things to do and conveniences. Grounds are well maintained, quiet and sites are generously sized.

Such a great spot! Close to everything and plenty of space so you aren’t too close to anyone else. Hosts were lovely and happy to show our kids their chickens and new baby chicks. All areas were very level and perfect if camping with multiple families. Will definitely be back!

We stayed at Bundilla river camp over Xmas and loved it. Plenty of space between allotted areas. Grass was kept tidy and lush. Toilet area also kept very clean and tidy. River was low due to being a dry summer but still had swimming spots and is great for little kids with shallows and small rapids. Rick and Cheryl were very welcoming and had wood (pre ordered) ready at our spot with a fire pit as well as eggs and also came round every afternoon offering baked goods for purchase. Only 30 mins in to port if you are low on supplies or fancy a beach day. Also has farm tours for the little ones on an afternoon. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and would book again. Thanks Rick & Cheryl.
