Welcome to Mountainview at Long flat, a picturesque property surrounded by mountains, river flat and the beautiful Hastings river. Our property is located 45 minutes west of Port Macquarie and 20 mins from Wauchope. Located on the edge of the small community of Long Flat. Mountainview offers approximately 15 acres/700mts of riverside van sites which cater only to self-contained vans. Public toilets are within easy walking distance in the local township of Long Flat where you will also find a great pub and general store to resupply (1 km from property entrance). The property features a gated entrance and graveled road for your convenience and safety. We have 13 designated van sites available with plenty of space for privacy. If you are booking with others, please let us know so we can site you together. We are unable to accommodate tent sites. The river is a perfect spot to swim, kayak or fish with plenty of wildlife around to see, river shoes are advised for your comfort. The river can sometimes be swollen and fast flowing. Please watch children at all times. Camping fires are only allowed outside of fire restrictions. Fires must be in a proper container / bucket. Please leave site clear. If you forage for wood please clear site of whats left before leaving This property is pet friendly though we do ask that owners leash and clean up after their fur babies. Dump points are located at Wauchope and Port Macquarie. We ask that all rubbish is taken with you upon leaving. Please be mindful that we do have neighbours and we ask that you be respectful and keep all noise to a minimum after 11pm and before 6am. Please DO NOT cut through our neighbours property to get to and from pub. This is classed as trespassing and you will be ejected from property. If broken glass is left behind on the site it will result in an instant ban. Ph service is available in the area. Absolutely NO dumping of black water on property. We had a fantastic stay at Long Flat Mountainview - peaceful, tranquil and exactly the kind of place where you can properly switch off and relax. The setting is beautiful, with plenty of space and a wonderfully calm atmosphere. Melanie was an excellent host and her communication throughout was first-class. She even kindly offered us a late checkout because the park was quiet at the time. Unfortunately, we already had other commitments and couldn’t take her up on it, but the offer was very much appreciated and a great example of the thoughtful hospitality. We’ll definitely be back. Now that we know there’s some flexibility with where you can park, as long as you remain in line with the post markers, next time we’ll position ourselves a little closer to the river and make even more of the beautiful surroundings. A lovely spot, a great host and a very relaxing stay - Long Flat is firmly on our list for a return visit.

Mountainview Long Flat was a perfect spot for us to chill out for a couple of days. Beautiful campsites on edge of river. Very well maintained, lovely green grassed area, easy access and so quiet. We stayed early in the week and had the whole place to ourselves. Thank you Melanie and Brett our hosts for great communication and providing perfect camping spot.

Had the most incredible, relaxing getaway at Mountainview Long Flat. You couldn't ask for a more picturesque spot—nestled right on the banks of the Hastings River with gorgeous mountain views, plenty of space between sites, and that golden afternoon sun filtering through the trees. We spent our days soaking up the peaceful riverside scenery, cooking up a feast on the BBQ, enjoying a cheese board with wine by the water, and even had the fur babies peeking out to enjoy the view. Brett and Melanie are fantastic hosts, and the property is exceptionally well-maintained🧀🍷🌞

Beautifully maintained grassy sites. We had the camp to ourselves and Melanie kindly let us choose which camp site we'd like to stay on which was really appreciated. Very large sites which were perfect for my 2.5 year old to run around and let off some steam. We had a lovely view of the gently flowing river. We will definitely be back in the warmer months with a SUP :)

We stayed only the one night on site number 10 although wish we stayed longer! Brett and Melanie were great hosts and gave very clear instructions for directions. The property was really well maintained,excellent privacy and with easy access via security gate. The views were amazing and with easy access to the Hastings River. Thank you for having us and we'll definitely be back in the not too distant future. Cheers!

Had a fantastic stay at Mountainview Long Flat. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing outdoors. Plenty of space to set up camp and enjoy the scenery, with a great atmosphere all around. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back again. This property is well-kept and clean; it's so peaceful, and we woke up to the birds, not to voices. The river is beautiful, and the sites are massive. Spent Easter long weekend here and absolutely loved it! So peaceful and quiet! Water is close by which is also great for swimming, except we didn't pack a floatie. Will book again and bring friends amazing spot and host Melanie was lovely also. Thanks for sharing this with us

Beautiful location, perfect river & mountain views. Sites were well maintained , mowed and easy to find with plenty of space to spread out between the sites. Highly recommend this camp ground. Relaxing , quiet & the serenity was amazing.
