If you value your privacy, then you are at the right place. We have just one exclusive campsite on our 40 acres. You are hidden away and guaranteed privacy. Note. This site is not for Bachelor or similar parties, we cultivate a natural quiet space. Private access is by 4WD only. Access during unpredictable weather will depend on your vehicle/camper/caravan configuration. Please check with host prior if you are unsure. We are more than willing to make it work for you. On arrival, guests are met by host and directed to the site. Camp site is a secluded, grassy spot beside the creek, among tall gum trees, where you can enjoy peace and serenity. Perfect for families or group of friends. The creek has lovely shallow areas suitable for kids to splash and play in. Occasionally you may see sea eagles soaring overhead, they nest in one of the trees along the creek beside your camp area. Camp area has a composting drop toilet housed in an outback style 'dunny' shed. Unfiltered rainwater is available and cold water outdoor shower for the brave. The site has a fire pit and some light fire wood laying around from fallen branches, plus mesh to place over the fire pit if you wish to use the fire for cooking. Campers may purchase quality split hardwood from your host. (There is always smaller branches and kindling laying on the ground) Well behaved pets are welcome. You may be visited by some cattle during your stay...they will keep out of your way. There are some large and unique trees to admire and keep your eye out for wildflowers that grow along the creek. There is an active eagle's nest in one of the trees. For a relaxing stroll, guests are welcome to walk the farm fence lines along the creek. There are so many beautiful local attractions to visit. Our local village is less than 2kms from the property where you will find Byabarra Cafe for excellent refreshments. Then a gorgeous drive up onto the plateau and you will find Comboyne village with a historic 1905 goal, Larrikins Lockup. Upon arrival your host will provide you with an information pack on local attractions and general Hip Camp house rules and guidelines for your safety and enjoyment.We know that you like it private so we have only ONE exclusive campsite on our 40-acre farm. There are some great local attractions to visit. Less than 2kms from the farm is the small village of Byabarra with a lovely welcoming little cafe. A scenic drive up the mountain will see you on the Comboyne Plateau where the beautiful little Comboyne village is waiting for you to explore it. You might find the historic 1905 goal, Larrikins Lockup, an exciting place to visit. If you feel more adventurous, you can try an outing to Rawson Falls or Ellenborough Falls. On your arrival, your host will provide you with an information pack on local attractions and general Hip Camp house rules to keep you safe and ensure your stay is enjoyable.

My partner and I loved this place. We were met by Leon who was a great host - very down to earth and friendly. We appreciated the folder that contained a map of the place, guest rules, and brochures of activities that were located nearby. My partner really liked the addition of the flowers on the side of the toilet, and the creative way that privacy was provided there. It was fun to do a walk around a couple of the paddocks, and we loved the cows, wildlife and stars at this spot. We appreciated that a fire-pit and some wood were provided. We only stayed here for one night but should’ve stayed here longer. It’s lovely.

Camping was really good. Very secluded and private. Ample shade made even a 35 degree day bearable. We had a flat tyre and they were very helpful to assist. The incline is a bit steep to get out of there and I won't recommend coming with a sedan but our campervan made it out using momentum. These are the kind of properties that make Camping an absolute pleasure.

What a beautiful spot. Tucked away on Michaelas family property this was the perfect getaway for our group of friends. Spacious, equipped with the drop toilet, fresh shower and lovely creek. Just for us and close enough to shops and bago winery for a day trip. Michaela made the whole process easy. Would highly recommend!

Eagles rest is such a beautiful spot, whether you are getting away for a night or several, you will feel like you are miles away and can totally switch off. It was the perfect weekend away for our family, which included little ones, our dog and the grandparents! Michaela is a wonderful host, and we enjoyed our fresh farm eggs!! It is a beautiful spot amongst the trees and super private, being the only campers there you can spread out and enjoy! Great size communal fire pit and well maintained toilet, and a great little outdoor freestanding shower by the creek! Thanks to Michaela’s dad who helped us out of a tight spot when leaving the property!!

Michaela is a great host and we had a lovely weekend once again. We love the peaceful surrounds (with some farm and wildlife sounds), the nearby creek, the onsite compost toilet and basic water tap and shower. We loved just relaxing with our 2 dogs with the camp fire and a walk to Byabarra Cafe. Recommend this as a great weekend escape with family or friends, or a great stop in for a night or 2 if making your way on a larger trip.

Eagles Rest on Michaela’s property was a delight. Michaela was easy to communicate with and responded to questions promptly. We had 5 nights with our daughter, her husband and two children. The two little girls had a wonderful time in the creek building dams and playing “Pooh” sticks, running around the large camp area particularly in the occasional pouring rain. The 5 year old ended up running around naked in the rain and shrieking with laughter under the cold shower. Waking up to the kookaburras and whip birds each morning was very pleasant. Come departure day we were a little concerned with leaving via the steep private entrance track after the rain we had received, and Michaela offered us the option of using another exit past the house. As it turned out our two heavily laden 4 wheel drives managed to exit gracefully out the steep track with no real problem. One small suggestion would be to turn the toilet by 90 degrees which would allow a little more privacy, however we coped by cobbling up a screen out of an old tarp and some ropes and pegs so it wasn’t a big deal. We would thoroughly recommend the camp site, a wonderful space for the children to run free and maybe learn a few of life’s lessons about thistles and the occasional bull ant. We will most likely return as a family and we may even sneak back for a few days on our own. Grahame & Vicki

Eagles Rest was beautiful! My partner and I stayed here over new years and it was the perfect space. Plenty of shade for a hot day, with a solid campfire which we cooked steaks on. The campsite is on a private property but completely secluded from anyone else, if you like you can enjoy a walk through the paddocks to check out the sea eagle nests. There was so much space for our dog to run around, she loved having a swim in the creek. Some basic amenities such as a fresh rainwater shower and compostable toilet made the stay that much more comfortable. Michaela and Jackson were so helpful and welcoming, and checking in and out was a breeze. I was also able to get good phone reception as well which was a bonus for any emergencies etc. Would highly recommend this place!

Towed my 19.6ft Jayco journey outback in and out easy with ford ranger v6. Any off-road caravan should easily be able to get there, the ground is spacious to easily make a u turn with the caravan. It has a level ground. Generators allowed. Great private site and lovely outdoor shower and great hosts.

We had a lovely time on a beautiful site, Michaela and Jackson were very nice and very helpful, we neither saw nor heard our hosts after induction. Farm walk was beautiful, as was the creek walk back to camp. Dogs had a blast as well, highly recommended.

We absolutely loved camping at Eagle's Rest with our two dogs again! Michaela is a friendly and responsive host. Eagle's Rest is private and peaceful, with a drop toilet and rain water available at the site. We had a great time with our two dogs again. The fire was great for the evenings before bed and early mornings. We 100% recommend staying here, only 20 minutes inland from Wauchope NSW. It was a relaxing weekend away for us and our girls.

We absolutely loved camping at Eagle's Rest with our two dogs for their first trip away. Michaela was friendly and responsive to our questions before booking and was very helpful helping us sort out if our vehicle would access the site. Michaela met us on arrival to escort us to the site on her property and provided an information pack. It was private and peaceful, with a drop toilet and rain water available at the site. We had a great time with our two girls sniffing & following us around the area, as well as playing ball most of the weekend. The fire was awesome for the afternoons, evenings before bed and early mornings. The wildlife was around, and kangaroos chilling about early one morning shocked both them and our girls lol. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here, only 20 minutes inland from Wauchope NSW. It was a relaxing weekend away and a great trial run for our girls.

Fantastic to spend a few days at the Bulli Creek Camp. Michaela provided clear instructions and met us on arrival on a very wet afternoon. We settled in quickly and the kids loved exploring the creek and surrounding bush. We enjoyed the local bird life, open fire place at camp and all the local sights around Port Macquarie; a great base camp to explore the region. The site was spacious, clean and well maintained with great all weather access options (although you’ll need a 4WD if towing a trailer in/out during wet weather). We’ll return!

Beautiful, serene amazing spot. We came in winter and it was awesome. A secluded glade next to a small babbling brook. This site would be awesome in summer, even on the hottest day, lots of shade. It has a rainwater shower and tap for clear fresh water and a cute little drop toilet with toilet paper supplied!. 10 out of 10, would highly reccomend. Oh, and when leaving we had a bit of rain and could not get the caravan up the slight grassy hill so the very friendly hosts got their tractor and pulled us up

What a beautiful spot. So private and a great spot to hide away for a night or a week. The host Michaela was so lovely leading up to out stay and met us on arrival. The toilet was nkce and clean as well. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Booked Michaela's Hipcamp from the reviews and it did not dissapoint! Perfect area for the kids to ride their bikes and play down at the creek. Area very well maintained, the amenities were rustic but clean and added to the character of the site. Would be perfect to come back with a group of 2-3 families. Plenty of wildlife around for kids and adults to lookout for including some sea Eagles up on the tallest gum trees. This site suited our young family and well behaved dog to perfection. One thing to note during winter the designated site gets limited sun so be sure to take this into consideration if you need solar or want your setup to get some sun. Can't thank Michaela and her family enough for a wonderful weekend!

Great spot! Enjoyed my stay here. Offers privacy and plenty of natural light. Loved the outdoor shower next to the creek and the composting toilet. Gives you just a little bit of comfort, keeping it simple.

Fantastic secluded spot in amongst the gums but away from branches. Lovely host and wonderful shower and loo with a view. Great location for visiting the surrounding area or for passing through like we were. Enjoyed the recommended walk in the morning mist with the dogs.

Michaela was an exceptional host. Greeted us on arrival and showed us around. provided a helpful information pack. Was very communicative before we arrived, allowing us to get there a few hours early to set up before the heat kicked in. The fresh water shower was amazing, as was the creek. Perfect location for a few peaceful nights away. Our dogs and kids loved it too.
