Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, installed watering infrastructure, and built our house, which we finally moved into when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years, we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity, and food. If you're lucky, you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity, you will find that in the mornings and evenings, kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbi,t and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space, you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a fire pit, drinking water, and a camp kitchen. The fire pit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow your pets to stay on-site; this includes horses. We are completely off-grid (no wifi to distract you) and we run off tank water (for this reason showers are only available for two hours in the evening). Some sites are perfect for our self sufficient campers who might want a nice private location and don't need access to amenities. There are two shared camp kitchen areas (with pizza ovens and bbqs). We have two amenities blocks with toilets and hot showers and two further compost toilets located at other sites. Campfires are permitted in designated areas (check with us when booking) and firewood can be added to your booking - we do require at least 24 hours notice if you want wood. There are lots of old-style games for the kids such as cricket, tennis, playground, bikes available, a swim in the dam and general country running around fun! Unfortunately we no longer have our flying fox, but there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy. We have some great bush walking areas where you might be lucky enough to see our resident wombats or our breeding pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles. The property dates back to the early 1900s and there are numerous historic buildings on the property. The earliest is a wooden slab hut that was built around the beginning of the 19th century - the Goulburn Penny Post newspaper, dated 3 December 1904 lines the walls of the hut. It also has a two shearing stand wooden shed built by Marcus Dawe in 1922. Very welcoming and even took us around the farm in their 4x4. Kids loved it, slept like a log and would highly recommended for an overnight stay.

Loved the seclusion, birdlife, walking down to the shack with a bottle of wine to watch the platypus feeding. Stargazing was amazing. Nice that Phil greeted us on arrival. Can be tight in places for large vans and make sure you have your fly repellent. Great experience.

We had an incredible stay at this remote private campsite. The journey in requires a 4x4, but that only adds to the sense of adventure — and the reward at the end is absolutely worth it. The property is stunning, and the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing firewood and a great fire pit setup that made our nights around the fire really special. The campsite itself sits in a peaceful meadow bordered by a small creek, and it honestly feels like your own piece of wilderness. The creek is something truly special — crystal-clear water with beautiful swimming holes that are perfect for cooling off or just relaxing and taking in the scenery. It was one of the highlights of our stay. If you’re looking for privacy, natural beauty, and a host who genuinely cares about your experience, this place is unbeatable. It was a stunning location. It had one of the clearest rivers I have ever seen. We felt completely secluded in our own private oasis. The kids loved waking up to the sound of the cows mooing on our doorstep. There was plenty of wildlife to view and plenty of space to explore. Anthony gave great direction and also met us at the gate to guide us to the camp-site. He was a great host and even provided plenty of fire wood.

My wife and I had the most relaxing weekend here! 🌿 It’s so peaceful — no noise at all, just the sound of the creek flowing and birds singing. 🕊️ We even found lots of wombat burrows nearby (sadly didn’t spot any this time.) 😅 The owner was super nice and friendly — even pointed out an eagle far away with his amazing eyesight! 🦅 Can’t wait to come back again. Very well kept campsite and gorgeous property. Lynton was a great host, helped us find our way, provided us with an abundance of firewood and then let us do our own thing. It felt moderately private but definitely not as secluded as I hoped for. I would go again if not just to see the abundance of animals and native wildlife that surrounds the property.

An easy 25-30 minute drive from Canberra it was the perfect balance of busy tourist days and relaxed country evenings. We extended our stay from 3 nights to 4!

Great creek close by to cool off in on a hot day. Excellent for overnight escape from Canberra. Good solid firewood was provided as well, which kept us going the whole night. Well recommended.

Great spot to camp. We normally camp by the river but in future, will stay here instead. Lovely to wake up with mobs of roos around and its family friendly and more secure than free camping down the road. Highly recommended for families who want to spend a few days panning without the worry of rangers and undesirables by the river. Lots of beautiful farm animals as well.

On arrival we were greeted by our host Peter who was a happy friendly man and a terrific host. He escorted us to 2 sites adjacent a lovely babbling creek. Once selected, he quickly whizzed the mower around and we had a freshly mown level site for our pop-top caravan. We enjoyed our 8 night’s, sitting by the creek listening to the sound of nature. Loved having the cattle and potty calves around. Really nice landscape. We enjoyed chatting with Peter about his property and plans. We also met his wife Anya and their kids.
