Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
At Tomboye Nature Camp you can immerse yourself in a beautiful natural environment. With only one campsite available you will have plenty of space and privacy. You can enjoy a number or great activities on the property and in the surrounding area, including horse riding, bushwalking, wildlife watching and 4x4 driving. There is a lovely creek that flows through the property as well. We are within reach of Canberra, Braidwood, Nowra and Golburn and only 20 mins from the beautiful Shoalhaven River. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome but please ensure they are kept contained and are completely out before leaving unattended. We loved the quiet bush camp setting. Plenty of firewood around. We explored a few4wd tracks in the area and had lunch at Nerriga pub also Braidwood pie shop is a winner. Would certainly recommend.

Had a great weekend away - road in is dirt but I have a Toyota Tarago and I managed just fine. The creak is down an embankment that I am not fit enough to clamber back out of so I admired it from afar. 😂 The hosts house is within view of the campsite but that didn’t bother me as there were trees shielding the campsite. Nice fire pit ready to go and the area was well kept. Great little spot for a couple of nights.

Nice spot to stay for a day or two. There's a small creek to wander along and it looks like wombats are around but unfortunately we didn't see any. Andrew gathered some firewood for us to start and there was plenty around to keep us going. Great pub at Nerriga for lunch!

Great quiet spot with no other campers, but not too far off the sealed road and handy to Braidwood and Nerriga. Very little outside noise at night and far enough away from major light sources so great for exploring the night sky.

Had our family Easter on Stewart’s property. The campsite was great. We had a caravan and 3 tents set up. There was heaps of firewood to keep the fire going all long weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed being away from everyone. It’s a shame the creek wasn’t a bit bigger but we had some hikes along it with the kids and used the water from it to boil water for our showers. Went on a few day trips to fishing spots and had a swim at Stewart’s Crossing nearby. Our extended family had a great time. Thanks Stewart for sharing your bush land with us.

Great little spot for a bush camp. Feels quite private, though you can see the hosts place from the site. Stewart kindly brought some firewood. Thanks mate! IMPORTANT: DO NOT COME IN THROUGH MARULAN THEN SOUTH TO OALLEN, BURDEN DR ETC UNLESS YOU'RE AN EXPERIENCED 4WD'ER. Any less and you're risking getting stuck. I speak from personal experience! Nerriga road to the property is fine/no risk.

I had a great relaxing time with my dog. Loved the creek. The host gave me some eggs from his chickens which was lovely and brought some firewood. Great stay 👍🏻

Great camp spot tucked away in the bush. Plenty of space to set up camp gear and far enough away from any road noise. We had a really great time staying here in a peaceful spot.

A lovely private bush camp. Stewart was amazing as we had found ourselves in need of an urgent booking when our other hipcamp didn’t workout. We will definitely be back only sorry we weren’t able to book for next Christmas.

This beautiful property is a photographer's dream! From the lush landscape to the beautiful creek this property is absolutely stunning! Well kept and private with the odd bit of cool quirky decor. Our visit wasn't long enough to explore all the amazing surrounds but this is definitely in our top camps and we'd gladly go back again and again! Stew's directions were spot on and made it easy to get there. Loved having the place to ourselves which is just magic!

Gorgeous, well maintained property boasting a lush creek and a sky that dreams are made of! This was a highlight in my recent camps. Loved knowing we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed exploring the creek area. The night sky here was phenomenal. Highly recommended if you love milky way photography and the serenity of having the place to yourself.

Great little spot to relax and unwind. We thoroughly enjoyed taking our dogs for walks and swims along the creek, just infront of your camp site. Stewart even had a yabby pot in the dam and kindly offered us his catch. Highly recommended 👌

For those desiring remote camping off grid with minimal intervention from the host. The road in is 4WD and we managed a small caravan. The historic Nerriga pub and town of Braidwood are close by.

Great for a quick escape

Great little spot for a quick getaway. Enjoyed a campfire, a walk along the creek and the bird life early in the morning. The doggo enjoyed her first camping trip! We went with a camper trailer, anything bigger may have been a bit tight to maneuver and find a flat spot.
