Our property is a 150 acre working organic produce and cattle farm with undulating land, lush green grass, mountain views and a creek surrounded by ferns. The camp site is hilltop with amazing views including that of Mount Lindsay, Mount Barney and the Border Ranges.
Most times there are animals for children to pet, baby rabbits, calves, lambs etc. In September-October we have fireflies at the creek.
We can take 2WD. Be in touch so we can let you know what the local conditions are.
The Lodgings are a neat and clean 2007 caravan suitable for two adults and two small children. All linen is provided. The caravan is powered so has lights, heating and cooling, cooking, kettle, hot water etc

Our favourite part of living at Soulhaven is the daily orchestra of birds! Although you will feel like you’re completely secluded from busy town-life, we are only 15 minutes from the nearest shops.
Enjoy a toasty campfire in the evenings where you can sit back and gaze at the stars. There are trail bikes tracks nearby and the iconic Border Ranges is just past Kyogle.
This campsite is 2WD friendly and caravans are welcome. You may need to level your caravan for a good night's rest.
Your pet, on a lead, is welcome to camp with you. We love animals, but one of the reasons we left suburbia was to get away from barking dogs. If your dog barks at night, or is not we’ll socialised, you’re best to leave pooch at home!

Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.

Shuttlebus available to our wonderful hippy village. There are curiosity shops with very different stuff, and a smoking culture. There is nowhere else anything like it. You can do Nimbin in a day. If you have time to relax and unwind, you can do it over two days, and enjoy the restaurants and cafes. I have local knowledge. There are lookouts with spectacular views. Here there's unusual fruit trees, a trampoline, and a basketball court if you want to shoot a few hoops, weights equipment, and a martial arts dojo if you are curious about learning some self defence.
There's a flat parking area for RV's and tents. It's a relatively small space - not an acre of grass. So it's a semi social area, and it's possible to interact and relax in the undercover area.
There's a fire place at night, and a Babakiuaera where you can get Wifi and play cards.
I'm a qualified driving instructor, so i know about vehicles and safe driving practices.

Amaroo also known to some long time visitors as Snake Valley, is situated on a massive property and backs onto the Toonumbar National park.
The property sits at the top of a 2.7km dirt road to the top of a small mountain with incredible views of Mount Lindsay and Mount Barney. The owner (my dad) has spent over 30 years bringing the land back from blade glass to the early stages of rainforest through native seed propagation and bush regeneration.
After decades of keeping the land free from domestic and commercial animals, the native wildlife has had come back in abundance and is thriving.
Depending on the time of year you could see any number of wallabies, goannas, and echidnas, to countless varieties of birds and butterflies, small marsupials, koalas, micro bats, snakes, and even a few lone dingoes have been spotted from a distance during duck breeding season. Therefore we don’t allow dogs or cats to be brought onto the property.
Pitch your tent, or pull up your situation either on level gravel or in a grassy zone however close or far from the communal zone as you wish. The communal zone is made up of a shack with a kitchen sink and a BBQ (BYO BBQ gas or you will need to request as an extra), there is tank water and lights all running off solar, a big long bench table and stools for preparing food, underneath the pagola of this open shack is an indoor fireplace. 50m from the shack connected by gravel paths and garden beds is the hot gas shower and composting toilet, each in their own enclosed dwellings with lights. From the shack and where you camp you will have the best views of the mountains. You will be 100m-ish from the top main dam where you can swim (we just ask that you don’t remove the fish, yabbies or turtles from their homes). The level below the shack is the main house where the property owner lives, and the level below that is the motocross tracks. There are walking and bike paths down to the motocross tracks that avoid going past the main house, if you are riding or just want to go for a walk.
PLS NOTE you may be around other people during your stay at Amaroo. There is a small community of motorcross riders that access the private tracks and sometimes camp. If you wish to have the campsite to yourself please msg us before booking to make sure it will be exclusive. Most of the time this property is peaceful and filled with noises of birds and tree breeze, but there are occasions where the tracks will be in use. Motorbikes can get noisy!

Dunoon village is cute yet, very practical.
There is a general store, bottle shop and they sell ice, Mechanic, Post Office and the best bit, you can even go out for dinner or lunch depending on the day, at the Dunoon Sports Club/ Pub or Channon Tavern, then head back to your secluded country camp and cool off in the beautiful creek or warm up and enjoy some quality time around the camp fire!

Shuttlebus available to our wonderful hippy village. There are curiosity shops with very different stuff, and a smoking culture. There is nowhere else anything like it. You can do Nimbin in a day. If you have time to relax and unwind, you can do it over two days, and enjoy the restaurants and cafes. I have local knowledge. There are lookouts with spectacular views. Here there's unusual fruit trees, a trampoline, and a basketball court if you want to shoot a few hoops, weights equipment, and a martial arts dojo if you are curious about learning some self defence.
There's a flat parking area for RV's and tents. It's a relatively small space - not an acre of grass. So it's a semi social area, and it's possible to interact and relax in the undercover area.
There's a fire place at night, and a Babakiuaera where you can get Wifi and play cards.
I'm a qualified driving instructor, so i know about vehicles and safe driving practices.

Amaroo also known to some long time visitors as Snake Valley, is situated on a massive property and backs onto the Toonumbar National park.
The property sits at the top of a 2.7km dirt road to the top of a small mountain with incredible views of Mount Lindsay and Mount Barney. The owner (my dad) has spent over 30 years bringing the land back from blade glass to the early stages of rainforest through native seed propagation and bush regeneration.
After decades of keeping the land free from domestic and commercial animals, the native wildlife has had come back in abundance and is thriving.
Depending on the time of year you could see any number of wallabies, goannas, and echidnas, to countless varieties of birds and butterflies, small marsupials, koalas, micro bats, snakes, and even a few lone dingoes have been spotted from a distance during duck breeding season. Therefore we don’t allow dogs or cats to be brought onto the property.
Pitch your tent, or pull up your situation either on level gravel or in a grassy zone however close or far from the communal zone as you wish. The communal zone is made up of a shack with a kitchen sink and a BBQ (BYO BBQ gas or you will need to request as an extra), there is tank water and lights all running off solar, a big long bench table and stools for preparing food, underneath the pagola of this open shack is an indoor fireplace. 50m from the shack connected by gravel paths and garden beds is the hot gas shower and composting toilet, each in their own enclosed dwellings with lights. From the shack and where you camp you will have the best views of the mountains. You will be 100m-ish from the top main dam where you can swim (we just ask that you don’t remove the fish, yabbies or turtles from their homes). The level below the shack is the main house where the property owner lives, and the level below that is the motocross tracks. There are walking and bike paths down to the motocross tracks that avoid going past the main house, if you are riding or just want to go for a walk.
PLS NOTE you may be around other people during your stay at Amaroo. There is a small community of motorcross riders that access the private tracks and sometimes camp. If you wish to have the campsite to yourself please msg us before booking to make sure it will be exclusive. Most of the time this property is peaceful and filled with noises of birds and tree breeze, but there are occasions where the tracks will be in use. Motorbikes can get noisy!

Cabin at Valley's End is our flagship accommodation at Figtree Farm. Having 3-bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is an ideal place for a relaxing weekend. The cabin has flat ground on 2 sides which allows for additional campers (up to 20 people).
In addition we offer 3 creek-side camp sites which have plenty of room for large groups; they are all situated on well drained, grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites.
Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Wiangaree is 15 minutes away and Kyogle is a 30 minute drive south. For those who enjoy a game of tennis there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall.

Our property offers a unique gateway to the ancient subtropical rainforest. Whether you are here for adventure or a quiet escape, the landscape provides the perfect backdrop.
Protesters Falls: Just 2.8km away (a 6-minute drive), this is one of the region’s most spectacular walks through towering Bangalow Palms to the base of the falls.
Creek Life: Terania Creek flows right past your site. Spend your mornings spotting the elusive platypus or afternoons swimming in private natural holes. We’ve added a hammock by the water for the ultimate relaxation spot.
Hinterland Gems: Use the farm as your base to explore The Channon Craft Markets, or take a scenic drive to the vibrant villages of Nimbin and Mullumbimby.
THINGS TO NOTE
Access: The road in features some classic country potholes. It is easily manageable in a 2WD, but we recommend taking it slow.
Nature: This is a living farm. We provide repellent, but please bring a tick-safety kit and ensure pets are up to date with treatments.
Sustainability: We are a "Leave No Trace" property. Please be prepared to take all rubbish with you to help us keep this environment pristine.
YOUR COMFORT
While this is an off-grid experience, we have added thoughtful facilities to make your stay easy, including a large timber gazebo, multiple dining spots, a clean eco-composting toilet, and a refreshing outdoor shower. We supply a tap for general use, but recommend bringing your own drinking supply.

This expansive 600 acre farm is a place of joy, sharing and rare beauty!
Over one kilometre of "Rocky Creek" runs through the Pecan Fields camp area, providing gorgeous waterholes for swimming, walks and great water front sites to set up camp for the weekend! You can even see Platypus in the early mornings, playing in the creek. All of the camp areas are easily access-able and flat, usually 2wd car is all you need. We also provide you with creature comforts such as a cold/ hot shower and fresh pit toilets :)
When booking, only book 1 site per group, as the sites are large.
You will feel like you are immersed in the beauty of nature here and yet you are only 6 minutes easy drive from the village of Dunoon, NSW 2480 and 45 minutes beautiful country drive from glorious Byron Bay beaches and it's very exciting night life! On every second sunday of the month, the Channon Markets are on, which is just 10 minutes drive from camp.
Sorry, we can't cater for dogs due to camp being a native animal sanctuary.
Dunoon village is cute yet, very practical.
There is a general store, bottle shop and they sell ice, Mechanic, Post Office and the best bit, you can even go out for dinner or lunch depending on the day, at the Dunoon Sports Club/ Pub or Channon Tavern, then head back to your secluded country camp and cool off in the beautiful creek or warm up and enjoy some quality time around the camp fire!

Weekend Trip to The Jewel Of Caniaba
We loved our stay! We went on the trail walk down to the creek/waterfall and it was beautiful, they had arrows along the way you could follow. Even saw some cows come up to the property and sat with them to watch the incredible view! The fire was also all set up to go. Would definitely recommend leaving the spa until nighttime and turning off all of the lights so you can see the amazing stars in full glory. 10/10!

Lovely peaceful camp spot, Craig was a wonderful host and gave a great tour of the property and a detailed explanation of the trees and history of the property. The tour at night to see the glow worms and the fungi that glow in the dark was amazing. Will definitely return. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

We had such a fantastic stay at Misty Mountain.
We especially loved that you could choose your own spot rather than being restricted to designated sites like regular campgrounds — it made the whole experience feel more relaxed and personal.
The contained fire pits were a great touch and made evenings so enjoyable. The amenities were exceptionally clean and very well maintained.
Peter and all the staff were incredibly informative, welcoming, and genuinely lovely to deal with — they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
The whole place is so peaceful and absolutely beautiful, the perfect spot to unwind and switch off. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Misty Mountain to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Views are just so amazing. Felt so peaceful
Clean amenities, big open spaces, fire pits at each site. Plenty of fire wood to purchase if you needed it. Kindling came with few fire starers and little bit of news paper (loves the extra touch)

Craig and Andy were fantastic hosts and were so attentive and accommodating. We were made to feel very comfortable during our stay and would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone wanting a relaxing time. Went camping to Misty Mountain with 2 friends. We had a large tent and other camping gear! It was very heavy rain on the first day but we set up in Camp 3! To our surprise there were some solid shelters in place which meant we didn’t get wet and set uk camp underneath it. The facilities with a hot shower and toilet were great and well maintained. The little cafe area located near the central amenities does great coffee and an amazing toastie! Couldn’t recommend any higher for my first camping trip in Australia
