Our property is a 150 acre working organic produce and cattle farm with undulating land, lush green grass, mountain views and a creek surrounded by ferns. The camp site is hilltop with amazing views including that of Mount Lindsay, Mount Barney and the Border Ranges.
Most times there are animals for children to pet, baby rabbits, calves, lambs etc. In September-October we have fireflies at the creek.
We can take 2WD. Be in touch so we can let you know what the local conditions are.
The Lodgings are a neat and clean 2007 caravan suitable for two adults and two small children. All linen is provided. The caravan is powered so has lights, heating and cooling, cooking, kettle, hot water etc

We are professional musicians and love to meeting people. Elphie used to own the iconic Nimbin Rox backpacker hostel, and although Soulhaven is only in its infancy, it still has a relaxed atmosphere.
Our favourite part of living at Soulhaven is the daily orchestra of birds! Although you will feel like you’re completely secluded from busy town-life, we are only 15 minutes from the nearest shops.
Enjoy a toasty campfire in the evenings where you can sit back and gaze at the stars. There are trail bikes tracks nearby and the iconic Border Ranges is just past Kyogle.
This campsite is 2WD friendly and caravans are welcome. You may need to level your caravan for a good night's rest.
Your pet, on a lead, is welcome to camp with you. We love animals, but one of the reasons we left suburbia was to get away from barking dogs. If your dog barks at night, or is not we’ll socialised, you’re best to leave pooch at home!
Our place is family friendly and we ask that you keep music and noise to a minimum after 10pm.

Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a "glamping" experience so insects and nature is a part of the experience. The dome tents are set on a concrete slab which is regularly sprayed however insects will still be around as the tents are set in the middle of the paddock so please be mindful of this.
This property uses Solar Power (not connected to the grid) so please be aware of energy usage. All lights and general appliances are low energy and remain suitable for use over an extended sunless/cloudy period. If you drain the solar you will lose power and hot water.
There are 2 portable fans inside the domes for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the small dome has a rooftop curtain that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the domes cooler.
You are welcome to explore the property. We do not recommend walking through long grass on the property without protective footwear as snakes are known to live in the area. We agiste cattle so you do need to close the cattle gates behind you.
Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway.
In the rain it may be slippery. If your car is not suitable for gravel inclines park at the top of the driveway.
There is a house on the acreage. During your stay no one will occupy the house. You have exclusive use of the property.

Our campground is on my family’s dairy farm that has been in the family since 1904. I’m the 4th generation on the farm and work alongside my parents and my husband operating the family business of milking cows.
The campsite is on a private area of flat ground right beside the Oxley River with views of Mt Warning.
We are excited to share our piece of paradise with others. We DO have a composting toilet but DON’T have any shower facilities.
Although the creek is very close by we advise you bring your own drinking water.
We are pleased to provide a gravelled campfire area along with a gorgeous outdoor setting that seats 8.

Weekend Trip to The Jewel of Caniaba
A 10/10 stay! We loved staying at Aliki’s cabin, it was quiet and peaceful with a comfortable bed, good shower, fantastic spa and well looked after and clean throughout. Aliki was the perfect host, helpful and let you relax and enjoy your stay.
Heaps of restaurants in Lismore and a lovely area all together. Definitely recommend the walk from the garden to the creek, it takes approximately 20 mins to get down.
We will 100% stay again!

I’m actually really glad that it worked out that we went this time of year whilst it was a little cooler. It was spot on for us. We had the perfect balance of sunshine and a little bit of rain. It was very peaceful not having anyone else around and having the entire place to ourselves. It was perfect for our nervous little dog. It was very roomy and they have provided such a great set up. You really do just need your food, your linen and towels and just yourselves.
Excellent communication from Jane throughout the whole process. We loved our experience and we would happily go back.

4 adults and 3 furbabies.......wow what a fabulous time we had!!!! Everything in the house was just perfect and being able to be altogether sitting on the deck was the best. Late afternoon fires outside seeing the cloud roll in over the mountains and then the stars, bliss. We can't rate this place high enough. Thank you to Jane and her family for allowing us to stay in such a special place.

Amazing spot by the creek! Beautiful, private location with everything you need. All the little details and luxuries were a nice touch. It was so nice to sit back by the fire, to the sound of the creek and escape life. So peaceful!

Was just as peaceful and relaxing as expected.
Definitely recommend for anyone to be away from technology and gadgets and gizmos. This takes you back in time , expect ranch vibes and rustic furnishings. I actually didn’t expect it to be as big as it was and also came with a lot of the accessories you need. Plates , bowls , cutleries , mozzie spray cleaning stuff even things like fishing rods which was cute.
Loved the wooden touches with the tin, don’t know how it would be in the summer with not much ventilation but it was nice and cool so made it even better.
Enjoyed relaxing by the creek and watching the cows. The hammocks were very relaxing and our dog loved the area.
Couldn’t have a bath because the water had some mosquito larvae so didn’t end up using but that’s ok was still a cool touch to have so hopefully maybe next time we visit can try again. Thanks again for the hospitality will be back :)

The perfect spot to camp with non-campers! The site had the most stunning views of the valley with nearby creek access. Level ground to pitch tents plus three double bedrooms in the house. Campfire pit and JB and family made sure we had plenty of firewood. Kids (and grown ups) had a ball exploring the grounds and creeks and watching the stars at night.

We loved our 3 nights for our first glamping experience. It was tough to fit everything for a family of 5 (plus a dog) into our car when you have to take linen but we managed! Note they do have 3-4 camp chairs to use which would have saved a bit of room for us.
The fridge and freezer are of decent size for an under bench style so wouldn’t need to bother with our camping fridge next time. There is a nearby general store which is also a bottle shop and sells fire wood which was handy. To have access to 2 domes for our family of five was great. The teenagers were able to have their own space. We plan to come back in winter. We stayed during an unusually hot Easter week with 30 degree days. Unfortunately there is no shade from the hot western sun of an afternoon. The shelter over the kitchen only provides shade until lunchtime and then you are in direct sunlight. Too hot to stay and domes get way too hot with little relief from the air con due to the time restriction on using the air con. We tried to venture out of an afternoon, otherwise we walked over to the other paddock and sought some relief under a large tree. That was the only negative. If you stay during the cooler weather it would be magical. Jane, the host was very helpful and responsive when we needed help or had questions. Overall a lovely place to escape the city and connect with nature. Nearby falls and dam worth a visit.

Very peaceful, bar a few cars along the nearby road. Just did a 1 night getaway so didn't get to explore the property. Van was very clean, comfortable and well equipped for cooking. I would recommend at least 2 nights to get more out of your stay. Steve and his wife are very friendly.

Peter and Tania’s property is beautiful! The shack was in a prime position near the creek and surrounded by trees. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it to others looking for a getaway in nature and digital detox.
