We have several peaceful campsites available on our off grid property near Crows Nest. Also a private glamping site with a 5m Bell Tent - with everything you need for a relaxing night away. We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway. It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest. Enjoy the spring fed dam in the warmer months. 🏊‍♂️ There is plenty to explore in the area, including: 🏞 Crows Nest Falls National Park (good for a swim) 🐃 Bullocky's Rest and creekside walk in Crows Nest (dog friendly) ☕️ Lovely cafes in Crows Nest (eg. Lalapanzi is a private 17ha (40 acre) bush block with two dwellings and some ancillary buildings. The property is 10 km outside of Toowoomba in the Flagstone Creek valley. Lalapanzi Heights is a secluded semi-developed exclusive campsite about 400m away from the dwellings and a base for bush hiking, exploration, bird watching or just relaxing. Your bookings are exclusive, so once you have booked, the other sites are blocked off. 2WD accessible to parking area. 4X4 access to camp site in dry conditions at drivers own risk. The road is not suitable for caravans. Walk-in access approximately 400m uphill pathway. Campfires are not available during fire ban season. A limited amount of firewood is provided but it is recommended that you bring your own if you are staying more than one night. Dogs permitted on leash, but are not allowed in the Rondavel.

NOT suitable for children or pets due to lots of wildlife, dense bush and no fencing

A Magical, Soul-Stirring Off-Grid Sanctuary! ★★★★★ We came home. Arriving here felt like stepping back in time to a simpler, truer reality. Our wonderful host, Rose, was ready for us, but the land dictates its own pace. She was out on the tractor rolling feed for the cows, who watched our arrival with gentle, curious eyes, as if genuinely glad for the company. When she finished, she welcomed us with true warmth. Rose helped us get the off-grid fire going to heat the water—a beautiful return to the old ways. The stunning 70-year-old shed is a rustic masterpiece. Framed by two ancient bottle trees, the interior decor instantly whispered "home" to my soul, deeply resonating with my roots growing up in the bush in a faraway land. It proves the spirit of the land is universal. As the sun set, an incredible dusk engulfed the sky, almost showing off for our delight. Once darkness fell, the sky truly danced. With zero electricity and no phone signal, we were forced to disconnect from the world to truly connect with ourselves. The Milky Way was blindingly visible, guiding us home, while inside, the crackling fireplace cuddled us in warmth, whispering you are safe. Rose ensured we could reach her anytime, which was incredibly reassuring. The morning was pure magic. After a golden sunrise and some beautiful time interacting with the cows and horses, we actually went back to bed. Everything here is completely unhurried, peaceful, and deeply relaxing. We will be back in no time.

Weekend Trip to Echoes in the Valley Gatton Qld

My family loved camping at Echoes - our site was sheltered, private and had beautiful views. The walk up the hill rewards you with amazing views of the valley. Kids loved exploring and encounters with the wildlife inc cows, wallabies and Geoffrey’s friendly parrot, Abigail. Hosts Geoffrey and Francine were so wonderful - Geoffrey, kids want you to know they loved the dragon fruit you kindly gave them on our way out! Would highly recommend; a terrific camping spot.

My husband and I had the most restful and relaxing time at the shack. No “power” but everything you need to feel comfortable. Rose and Denis were incredibly generous and beautiful people. Denis even took us on a tour of the cotton fields and taught us how it’s farmed, which made the experience even more special. The highlight was the incredible sunsets, especially heating up the donkey for a bath and watching the sun go down through the window. We’d come back in a heartbeat next time we’re in the area!

This glamping site was amazing! It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nice hot shower, amazing views, friendly animals, great fire pit. Will absolutely be coming back.

Weekend Trip to Runella

We had a great stay at The Shack! The cabin is rustic, but excellently set up with everything you need if you are looking to take a break and enjoy the peace and quiet. We travelled with our two young kids and a small dog, and everyone loved being out in the countryside and sitting around the fire as the sun went down. Rose was a great host and I would highly recommend a stay at The Shack.

This place is pure magic. I stayed here with my partner for my birthday weekend, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Surrounded by nature, we had every option to explore, but we chose to slow down, soak in the bath, and spend our nights by the fire. It was peaceful, romantic, and exactly what we needed. Very tranquil setting! Ryan and Kellie's place had everything for a peaceful stay. Kids loved the board games, the friendly cows and the walking track including the water hole. Directions to get to the camp were very helpful. Map of the property was sent to us prior to stay which helped immensely. Would definitely recommend 👌

4 nights at Hunter Downs

My Partner and I along with our dog Indi loved our stay at Jaspers Dam. This was our second stay and we have already booked our third. We loved the privacy. You feel as though you are the only ones there. The Bell tent that is already set up is immaculate and over looks the dam which comes alive at night with the sounds of nature, it was so relaxing to fall asleep to. It also has your own private toilet which is clean and well maintained. They have a lovely fire pit set up and a pile of firewood ready for you when you arrive which was plentiful. It was so magical sitting around the fire of a nighttime stargazing, we counted 8 shooting stars in 1 night. During the day we never tired of watching and listening to the abundance of Birdlife. Truly a beautiful part of the world, you feel a world away from civilisation yet it’s still so close to everything you need. Being so close to Brisbane and the Gold Coast means that we didn’t waste time travelling which meant more time in nature. Perfect for a quick weekend get away or a long stay. Our host Melanie was absolutely amazing, accommodating and quick to respond to my messages. Directions to the campsite were very clear along with signage to make finding your campsite even easier. 4wd is a must for getting to Jasper Dam Camp Spot but that’s part of what makes this spot an adventure. 10/10 and 2 thumbs up from us. Thank you for another wonderful stay on your amazing property Melanie, we can’t wait to come back 🤩🏕️🪵🥇

Weekend Trip to Hilltop Farm, Camping and Glamping.

We usually have our own set up but, due to an eye operation, we had to use a glamping site over Easter. Given that we have never used this form of camping before we have nothing to compare with. Needless to say, everything was well set out and very comfortable and private. Plenty of walking tracks in the area, and close enough to town to head in for lunch/dinner if required. Very peaceful and relaxing, highly recommended!

What an awesome spot! We camped with our family and 6 year old grandson over the Easter weekend and had a great time. Would highly recommend this spot if you want to relax and unwind!

Weekend Trip to Anduramba Bush Camping

Cracker of a camping experience. Site had fantastic views, was very private and plenty of room for everyone. Dave was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend to anyone.
