We are also home to endangered GREATER GLIDERS at The Croft! You will have a 5-acres to explore during your visit with a large flat campsite area with power and water if that is what you need. The onsite caravan – BETTY – is available for you if you need a bit more of a glamping holiday. Toilet is a composting toot. Self sufficient sites are available as well in another part of The Croft property near the dam and is accessed via the main property. Options for visitors are tailored for the horse rider however you don’t need a horse to visit and enjoy what The Croft has to offer. You can also spend time with the horses here with a variety of experiences available as extras and as part of package deals and our flag ship Back in the Saddle retreat option. There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night. The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay. All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area. THIS IS THE AUSSIE BUSH so please if you cant handle smells and snakes, try the HYATT in NOOSA!

Anduramba Bush Camping is located on a 300 acre property approximately 15 minutes south of Blackbutt, Qld. The campsite is on top of a hill with great views. There’s a small cabin on site, you can book the campsite either with or without this. The cabin is quite basic, it has 12v lighting with a USB port suitable for charging phones etc, and a bunk bed with mattresses (double bottom, single top), but you'll need to bring your own bedding. Property features - - Dogs welcome (just don't let them wander off) - Portaloo (flushing) - Shower hut (uses shower bags) - Non drinkable water available for washing etc, BYO drinking water - Firewood available to collect - Table tennis table free to use - Covered concrete area underneath a shed awning which you can use - Good phone reception at the campsite - Accessible by 4WD or 2WD via Blackbutt, Esk or Crow's Nest, however after extreme rain events this can sometimes change due to flooding or damage to the road. Please note the roads are gravel with erosion mounds, dips and some rough sections, so you need a bit of ground clearance. We have several peaceful campsites available on our off grid property near Crows Nest. Also a private glamping site with a 5m Bell Tent - with everything you need for a relaxing night away. We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway. It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest. Enjoy the spring fed dam in the warmer months. 🏊‍♂️ There is plenty to explore in the area, including: 🏞 Crows Nest Falls National Park (good for a swim) 🐃 Bullocky's Rest and creekside walk in Crows Nest (dog friendly) ☕️ Lovely cafes in Crows Nest (eg. Amazing campsite would 100% recommend this to any big group amazing facilities and not too bad of a drive in. Didn’t have a moment that wasn’t enjoyed. The best views and even sights of the Milky Way. Went for a friends 19th birthday and was perfect, just what we were looking for at a great price. Dave the owner was extremely kind and helpful

Such a beautiful, secluded spot, we didn’t see another person the entire time we were there. The whole setup was amazing. Everything felt comfortable and thoughtfully done, without being overly modern or losing that cosy camping feel. Definitely my version of camping 🙌 We also ventured out for a couple of nearby hikes and spent some time exploring the local town. The hosts were incredibly helpful and communicative throughout, which made the whole stay even easier. Would definitely stay here again!

It's hard to believe anywhere can still be this quiet! We really enjoy the simplicity and that feeling of being able to turn back the clock a little. Rose and Dennis offer welcoming hospitality and the Shack has everything you need. The open space goes on forever and delivers beautiful sunsets & rises. With plenty of firewood provided the bush tv (fire) keeps the entertainment going. If you have not ventured in a westerly direction I'd highly recommend the Shack. The night sky will amaze you with more stars and satellites than you can imagine. There are lots of country towns around offering many activities, attractions and good food. Check out the Army Aviation Museum in Oakey, it's even free. Yep, I highly recommend the Shack for a country reset.

Shack on Kent is such a hidden gem of a hip camp! This was a last minute booking due to change of the weather and what a pleasant surprise. The shack is such a quirky little place that has everything you need. We loved the addition of the indoor fire and donkey for the hot water. The area is so peaceful and quiet - we only heard the birds and the residents cows! The winter night sky was so clear we could easily see the Milkyway and the sunsets are utterly breathtaking. Rose was such a lovely host and very welcoming and helpful. We feel privileged to find this place and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you Rose and Denis (and the resident cows).

We loved staying here. The area is beautiful, the sunsets stunning, the space and quiet such a nice change from everyday life. The cabin is old school, rustic charm, with everything you need. The kids loved cooking over the open fire and being responsible for the donkey so we could all have hot showers before bed. Rose and Dennis are lovely people, and our timing even saw the kids help Rose feed the horses one afternoon. I'd recommend arriving before dark as it's easier to find however a quick call to Rose saw her and Dennis come out to meet and direct us. Highly recommend.

A Magical, Soul-Stirring Off-Grid Sanctuary! ★★★★★ We came home. Arriving here felt like stepping back in time to a simpler, truer reality. Our wonderful host, Rose, was ready for us, but the land dictates its own pace. She was out on the tractor rolling feed for the cows, who watched our arrival with gentle, curious eyes, as if genuinely glad for the company. When she finished, she welcomed us with true warmth. Rose helped us get the off-grid fire going to heat the water—a beautiful return to the old ways. The stunning 70-year-old shed is a rustic masterpiece. Framed by two ancient bottle trees, the interior decor instantly whispered "home" to my soul, deeply resonating with my roots growing up in the bush in a faraway land. It proves the spirit of the land is universal. As the sun set, an incredible dusk engulfed the sky, almost showing off for our delight. Once darkness fell, the sky truly danced. With zero electricity and no phone signal, we were forced to disconnect from the world to truly connect with ourselves. The Milky Way was blindingly visible, guiding us home, while inside, the crackling fireplace cuddled us in warmth, whispering you are safe. Rose ensured we could reach her anytime, which was incredibly reassuring. The morning was pure magic. After a golden sunrise and some beautiful time interacting with the cows and horses, we actually went back to bed. Everything here is completely unhurried, peaceful, and deeply relaxing. We will be back in no time.

Very tranquil and relaxing. Felt like we were miles from other campers. Only heard some people a couple of times. Need was extremely comfortable and warm on a cold night. Stars were beautiful!

The Bunya Mountains National Park feels like stepping back in time. Leaving the coast behind for the cool, misty air of the South Burnett is like entering another world. The ancient Bunya Pines are the stars—towering prehistoric trees that give the rainforest a real Jurassic Park feel. For a day trip, the walking tracks are fantastic. The Barker Creek circuit has beautiful waterfall views, while the shorter rainforest walks are perfect for enjoying the lush greenery and listening to the catbirds. Wildlife is everywhere, with red-necked wallabies often relaxing on the grass, unfazed by visitors. The drive up is part of the experience too, with winding roads and spectacular views across the Darling Downs. Bring a light jacket, as it’s much cooler than the lowlands, and take time to simply enjoy the peace. Even a few hours here feels like a reset.

Beautiful, but watch out for GimpyGimpy

Great place for walks, but watch out for the mighty Gimpy-Gimpy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendrocnide_moroides, a very unpleasant experience for get in contact with. It was a learning experience for the whole family, unfortunately they are everywhere, as well on the designated footpath. My worries would be with small children, but saw adults getting in contact , like me and other that were not aware. The Forrest themselves are beautiful.
