While Figtree Farm has been a camping destination for family and friends for many years and now we're happy to extend this welcome to Hipcampers too. As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

On-site amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, fully equipped camp kitchen with a large undercover area (perfect for large groups or private functions), and a laundry. We are a dog-friendly park so the whole family is welcome. Dogs need to be controlled at all times and cleaned up after. No aggressive dogs please. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred). Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd. Check in is strictly between 2 - 5pm. Christmas Creek Cedar Cabin is a Tiny Home in the Scenic Rim. Positioned on a hill above Christmas Creek to take in the views, were you can watch the sun rise over Little Widgee Mountain and the sun set over the mountains to the west. This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs. A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed. There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Relax on the sun lounge listening to the birds sing and Christmas Creek flowing by, or enjoy a Scenic drive or bushwalk in the local area. Christmas Creek Café is just down the road. Phone reception is available at the cabin if you’re with Telstra. The property is 2WD accessible, but I recommend 4WD in wet weather No pets please.

Our property is a 150 acre working organic produce and cattle farm with undulating land, lush green grass, mountain views and a creek surrounded by ferns. The camp site is hilltop with amazing views including that of Mount Lindsay, Mount Barney and the Border Ranges. Most times there are animals for children to pet, baby rabbits, calves, lambs etc. In September-October we have fireflies at the creek. We can take 2WD. Be in touch so we can let you know what the local conditions are. The Lodgings are a neat and clean 2007 caravan suitable for two adults and three small children. All linen is provided. The caravan is powered so has lights, heating and cooling, cooking, kettle, hot water etc Although we are dog friendly NO DOGS are allowed in the caravan Amenities (toilet, shower) and self contained kitchen including fridge, stovetop, oven and grill, is provided in the van. Kettle, Tea and Coffee provided Kyogle village is a 20 min drive. supermarket, butchers, locally crafted giftware, clothes and furniture Kyogle is known as a "gateway" to many national parks including Border Ranges National Park and Toonumbar National Park. Welcome to Emu creek Retreat One of the best destinations for hiking, camping, bushwalking, swimming, Kayaking, fishing, mountain bike riding (bicycles only), bird watching, 4wdriving and even fossicking., Dogs, men's best friend, are definitely welcome. But if your dog is not friendly or is likely to venture into someone else camping area, than will have to be on a leash. If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m high waterfall, nature at it's best. In the vicinity you have the Clarence river at Paddy's Flat Road and Hootons Road within minutes drive from the property. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in 1993 was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

We are professional musicians and love to meeting people. Elphie used to own the iconic Nimbin Rox backpacker hostel, and although Soulhaven is only in its infancy, it still has a relaxed atmosphere. Our favourite part of living at Soulhaven is the daily orchestra of birds! Although you will feel like you’re completely secluded from busy town-life, we are only 15 minutes from the nearest shops. Enjoy a toasty campfire in the evenings where you can sit back and gaze at the stars. There are trail bikes tracks nearby and the iconic Border Ranges is just past Kyogle. This campsite is 2WD friendly and caravans are welcome. You may need to level your caravan for a good night's rest. Your pet, on a lead, is welcome to camp with you. We love animals, but one of the reasons we left suburbia was to get away from barking dogs. If your dog barks at night, or is not we’ll socialised, you’re best to leave pooch at home! Our place is family friendly and we ask that you keep music and noise to a minimum after 10pm.

The camp kitchen and sites along the creek are within sight to the main house (50m) and shed home (30m), however if weather permits sites in the paddock for more privacy can be selected. We have old macadamia and pecan trees. Goats, sheep, cows and a miniature pony graze on our paddocks. At times we can offer eggs from our chickens and produce from the garden. The property is located just 5 minutes drive to the town of Nimbin, The perfect place to rest a while, to relax, rejuvenate and let Mother Nature work her charms. Camp amongst the trees, enjoying the dappled sunlight. Go for a walk along the creek and splash around. Our campsite offers good access for all types of vehicles. We area dog friendly. There is access to a basic pit toilet. The basic shed and camp kitchen area offers protection from the elements with access to power, a kettle and gas BBQ. Prepare your meals and eat in comfort. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place.

This place is a little slice of paradise! Perfect getaway with nothing overlooked! Cleanliness, amenities and communication were fantastic. It was lovely to have some time away with family and disconnect - played games, talked and lazed on our floats in the rock pools! Gorgeous part of the world. Well kept camping grounds with hotshowers and toilets near the camp kitchen. Camp kitchen was immaculate with microwave, kettle, washing facilities, cooktop and castiron over the fire, along with a lounge space and plenty of board games for the kids. Small hill from the powered camping which was also a minute stroll down to the creek.

Tubing down the rapids further up the river is a must during any stay at Eagle Ridge. Have recommended to friends and will definitely be back.

Sitting at the base of Mt Barney and with a small creek for you to cool off and swim, very safe for kids and little ones, very close access to main hikes of Mt Barney, the hosts were lovely and thoroughly enjoyed our chats with them! Everyone else camping were clean and quiet and made for a relaxing time No cell reception, which is great to switch off Knowledgeable staff Good amenities block with warm shower Our views were looking straight at the mountain. 14 nights at Trickling Waters Retreat

This glamping tent at Trickling waters was the most peaceful and calm place I’ve been in a long time. There really is a trickling stream! The buzz at dusk is a strange kind of deafening too (frogs, crickets, cicadas). I needed a place to decompress over the holidays and this place did not disappoint. All the privacy I needed but the hosts were just an inbox away if I needed anything at all. To top it off this place is dog friendly and the creek was a perfect cool off for mine!

Amazing camping location. The campgrounds were exactly as described, well maintained and easy to access. We had a relaxing and wonderful time with our two dogs. The private river is beautiful and surrounded by stunning scenery. We also spent a few nights in the tiny home, which was equally enjoyable and very convenient, with access to the BBQ, deck, and comfortable lounge area. Dan and Kristy were excellent hosts and very accommodating. By far best communication we’ve experienced at any Hipcamp we’ve stayed at. We will definitely be returning.

Weekend Trip to Clarence River Wilderness Lodge

Clarence River Lodge is so stunning !! It was our first time exploring the wilderness and we loved it. Sharon was lovely and it was very nice listening to her stories. We took our Cherry Tiggo 4 which is a 2wd and it made it through the gravel roads, be sure to drive super careful though if taking a 2wd.We stayed in the tree hut and it was nice and cozy. Our overall experience was amazing.

Several families of ours spent a truly unforgettable Christmas here. There was plenty of space for children to play, and we could also set up tents outdoors. We enjoyed barbecuing together and singing, and it was all very relaxing. The environment is beautiful and quiet. In the mornings, we could see mist rolling through the mountains, which made the whole experience especially peaceful and refreshing. The host was very kind and patiently explained how everything worked. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing getaway.
