Bajimba Eco Camp is part of our stunning family property nestled in the surrounds of Mt Bajimba in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 40 minutes south east of Tenterfield. Historically known as a resting point for bullock teams hauling timber from the surrounding forests on their way to a saw mill in the lower valley, Bajimba is now home to Merv & Carey. We are just over 1080 metres above sea level, with 57 acres of eucalypt & grass tree forests, grass pastures, and a small (but mighty) organic farm. Accommodation options include "West View “situated at our highest elevation with incredible views from the deck, and "Bullock Camp" which can accommodate tents, caravans or motor homes. When making travel arrangements, note we are in NSW and therefore are 1 hour ahead of QLD during day light savings months. It is encouraged if possible that guests arrive before 6pm to ensure a smooth and stress free check in to camp. Being able to experience the sunset is all a part of your Bajimba stay! Amenities for both sites include an ablution block with hot shower and composting toilet, with steam sauna and wood-fired hot tub available by appointment. Please call at time of booking if hot tub and sauna facilities are required (especially for same-days bookings). Wood fired hot tubs require four hours to heat appropriately. Also note that all toiletries are provided to ensure that our critical farm ecosystem is maintained. When staying at “West View”, we supply Tea, Coffee, Muesli, Full Cream Milk, fresh Eggs from our Hens, Salt & Pepper, Olive Oil, Cast Iron cook ware and a portable sink for cleaning Utensils etc. Also supplied are Plates, Knives & Forks etc. Portable Gas Cooker also supplied if not using the Fire Pit. The cabin also has a large firepit out the back where our guests are welcome to have a campfire or cook a meal over the coals. Firewood will be supplied. There is a picnic area with a large open firepit and toilet just meters from the waters edge. Rocky River Play Station

61km from Butterleaf State Conservation Area · 4 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging
Rocky River Play Station is a working bush property on the banks of the Timbarra River, about 20 km / 30 minutes south of Drake Village — an old gold-mining community tucked in the back of NSW Northern Rivers. This is a place for slowing down, sitting on grass, swimming in rivers, watching light change across the hills, and resting amongst the wildlife and our resident cows. Your hosts live further back on the property. We’re close enough to help if needed, but far enough away that you’ll feel properly off-grid. There is no mobile reception, which is part of the magic. This is a leave-no-trace property: - There are no bins — please take all rubbish with you when you leave. - Campfires welcome when there is no fire ban. - Facilities vary by site — please check individual listings carefully and come prepared. Pets may be possible by request. We love visiting animals, but we also protect our local wildlife and grass-powered lawnmowers (the cows), so approval is on a case-by-case basis. Rocky River Play Station is also home to evolving creative projects, small gatherings, and the Brushtales Arts Residency. Come to rest, create, gather — you're welcome.

63km from Butterleaf State Conservation Area · 15 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging
Located 19 km due east of the famous historical village of Tenterfield the working, cattle breeding, property "Mindoo" has recently opened its gates to campers. Framed by the rugged border range National Parks "Mindoo" is 1100 acres of rolling green hills dissected by the pure, cascading, waters of the Cataract River which provide a number of private riverside campsites. Campers are encouraged to meander along the continually changing River and explore its many secluded swimming holes and enjoy the abundant wildlife that cohabitates with the Angus/Wagyu cow herd. Direct access to the neighbouring National Parks and State Forests offers an array of day trips to hikers, mountain bikers, or horse riders where they can discover the natural treasures of Basket Swamp and Boonoo Boonoo Falls, Woolool Woolooni, among others. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart. As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Please read the listing for the campsite you are wanting to book. Some of our sites do not suit caravans. All roads require high clearance vans. If you do not like dogs or your own dogs are not very sociable Mindoo may not be the place for you. Daisy the Doodle (Golden Retriever/Poodle) and Paul the Pig Dog (a very gentle Bull Mastif/Catahoula) like to come and say hello to campers at The Park & The Junction. Send us a message if you have any questions.

If you expect to arrive late, we'd appreciate a quick message. Please respect the privacy of other campers by keeping noise to a minimum, particularly during the early morning and evening. Leave your campsite clean and tidy, taking all rubbish with you or placing it in the designated bins. Campfires are permitted only in designated fire pits and only when local fire restrictions allow. Never leave a fire unattended. Our Horses & Animals Our horses are treasured members of our ranch family. Please help us care for them by following these simple guidelines: DO NOT feed the horses or any other animals. Our horses are on carefully managed diets and unsuitable food can make them seriously unwell. For your safety, never feed horses while they are together as a herd. Even the quietest horses can become excited around food and may crowd people or compete with one another, creating a potentially dangerous situation. If you would like to meet or interact with the horses, please speak with us first. We are always happy to introduce you when it is safe and appropriate. Allow our horses to approach you in their own time and always respect their personal space. Please do not run, scream, chase, throw objects at or deliberately startle any horses or other animals. Leave gates exactly as you found them and do not enter paddocks or restricted areas unless invited by a member of The Ranch team. Please respect our fences, gardens, equipment, wildlife and fellow guests. Children Children are very welcome at The Ranch and remain the responsibility of their parent or legal guardian at all times. Please ensure children are supervised throughout their stay and do not: Run or play around horses or livestock. Chase, frighten or attempt to ride any animals. Climb fences or enter paddocks without permission. Open gates. Feed any animals. Photography From time to time, photographs or videos may be taken around the property for promotional purposes. If you would prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, simply let us know and we will happily respect your wishes. Thank You Thank you for choosing to stay at The Ranch on Clarence and for helping us care for this beautiful property, our horses and all the animals that call it home. We hope your stay is peaceful, memorable and leaves you feeling refreshed, inspired and connected to nature.
