The fishing here is excellent, with calm water and plenty of great spots right from the property. We often boat across to Maclean for supplies, giving guests a real taste of river life. The sunsets here are something else — short, stunning bursts of colour that light up the whole river and paddocks. As the sun drops, the sky turns gold, pink, and deep orange, and the Clarence reflects it all like glass. It’s a quiet, peaceful moment where everything slows down and the whole farm glows. Our 40 acre property is home to four quiet, secure, exclusive river front sites on the mighty Clarence River. Boating, fishing and crabbing literally at your doorstep. And it's just a 15 minute drive into the towns of Yamba and Maclean. To ensure all our guests have a comfortable and spacious experience, each campsite is designated for one camp set up only (eg one caravan or camper trailer or tent) This allows us to maintain a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere with plenty of space between sites. The campsites are situated right on the bank of the mighty Clarence River, perfectly suited for campers who enjoy the peace and quiet. Please note: Our sites are available for booking up to 3 months in advance. Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos and on occasions a couple of visiting brolgas. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is about 100 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase. Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. The campsite is accessible by 2WD and can accommodate caravans, campervans and camper trailers. The sites are generally level and grassy.

We are professional musicians and love to meeting people. Elphie used to own the iconic Nimbin Rox backpacker hostel, and although Soulhaven is only in its infancy, it still has a relaxed atmosphere. Our favourite part of living at Soulhaven is the daily orchestra of birds! Although you will feel like you’re completely secluded from busy town-life, we are only 15 minutes from the nearest shops. Enjoy a toasty campfire in the evenings where you can sit back and gaze at the stars. There are trail bikes tracks nearby and the iconic Border Ranges is just past Kyogle. This campsite is 2WD friendly and caravans are welcome. You may need to level your caravan for a good night's rest. Your pet, on a lead, is welcome to camp with you. We love animals, but one of the reasons we left suburbia was to get away from barking dogs. If your dog barks at night, or is not we’ll socialised, you’re best to leave pooch at home! Our place is family friendly and we ask that you keep music and noise to a minimum after 10pm.

One guest sai,d "it was like stepping back to a more relaxed time". Another saw the main bedroom and sighed "How romantic!" A booking is for 2 guests and the cottage can accommodate 2 extra people. Guest access You have the whole cottage to yourselves. You are welcome to wander the garden or walk down to the river. Guests have access to the outdoor Forster room. ( A Room with a View !) Guests staying for a while may like to bird watch or count the various native animals that visit the garden. Both depend on the season of the year. Other things to note Fairlight is in the country, 20 minutes from town so the Continental breakfast is extensive since there is no coffee shop to stroll to. You choose your breakfast brands so no food is wasted. Dietary needs like non-dairy or gluten-free can be catered for. Most guests use the kitchen for their evening meal or drive into town. In winter, there are room heaters and electric blankets. In summer, there are pedestal fans but no air conditioning.

What a truly special place!! We loved the privacy, the views and how peaceful the lodge was!! The place has everything you need for a peaceful break away. We loved the horses who visited daily for the daily feed on the surrounding grassy area - very magical just watching them graze. Beth was a very responsive host, who was polite and friendly. We’d HIGHLY recommend the lodge for those wanting some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. Our dog was also welcome and she really enjoyed the place too! Thank you Beth for allowing us to share such a wonderful place!

We loved our stay here the animals were sweet and the kids loved it, we will be back. It’s been a highlight of the holidays. Everything we needed or could have needed was provided , very thoughtful.

Weekend Trip to The Jewel of Caniaba

We spent the whole weekend at Aliki’s place. It was awesome. Quiet all the time. Sorrounded by native birds. The hot tub was pleasant. Aliki left coffee capsules for us. We took the hike down to the creek and was so nice. At night we light up the fire pit which was really comfy. We definitely recommend the place if you want to have a quiet weekend as a couple.

Amazing location, private and well-maintained grounds, very peaceful. Hosts are lovely. A perfect couples getaway.. Recommendation: definitely take your own crockery, cutlery etc. Would also recommend taking a mattress protector and your own doona/blanket.

2 nights at The Jewel of Caniaba

We loved our stay here. It was so peaceful, surrounded by nature and plenty of wildlife – birds, cows and even a kangaroo! And you can’t beat relaxing in the spa while taking in this amazing view. Aliki was a wonderful host and so accommodating. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches in the cabin that made us feel so welcome.

Weekend Trip to River Views - Ashby Island Paradise

Awesome spot right on the river with easy access to boat ramps and surrounding towns. The Sharstle is the perfect set up for a fishing camp or for a family group to enjoy the local area.. Also Squiggles is a friendly host who's readily available if you need anything. We had a great time, thanks!

We had such lovely weekend staying at this beautiful cabin. Being so close with animal was amazing, our daughter had the best weekend playing with the kids and little goats. Highly recommend especially if you have little ones. Would happily come back.

Awesome spot to get away and sign out for a few days. The place is special! Beautiful clear river in a great setting, awesome sandy camp with amenities and a full kitted out Kitchen. We loved it. 10/10.

Lovely peaceful spot with good amenities and helpful hosts. You can walk around the property and see wildlife and wake up to birdsong. The tent was comfortable and a decent size. Definitely recommend

The tiny house is neatly fitted out to make your stay comfortable and peaceful .Adrian makes sure you have all you need and even took the kids to feed the cows. The dog thoroughly enjoyed the space as well.
