Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, installed watering infrastructure, and built our house, which we finally moved into when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years, we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity, and food. If you're lucky, you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity, you will find that in the mornings and evenings, kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbi,t and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space, you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a fire pit, drinking water, and a camp kitchen. The fire pit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow your pets to stay on-site; this includes horses. Weekend Trip to Spring Creek Valley Farm

We loved being off the beaten track at Bill’s hipcamp site! The nature is stunning, we saw wedge-tail eagles, king parrots, cockatoos, kangaroos and lots of wombat burrows, unfortunately didn’t get the chance to go spotlighting at night to see a wombat due to the weather being surprisingly cold and windy. Next time we will bring warmer clothes in summer! The waterfall near upper creekside site is stunning, would be great to come after a big downpour. The sheep were very vocal but we loved the sounds! All round a great stay.

Weekend Trip to Windawalla

This was my 3rd time back here and it was just as good as the previous 2. Both hosts are very welcoming and are always down for a good chat. Both very inviting and charming to talk too. Their property is very open and has sufficient space for camping whether you are in a swag, tent or caravan. We went in swags this time and had an amazing time. Will definitely be back again.

Weekend Trip to The Hobby Sheep Farm

Ron's hobby sheep farm is quite large, the camping area was nice and flat, well grassed with easy access, and a westward border of pine trees that provided some shelter from strong westerly winds we experienced over our stay. There is 10A power available and even an EV type 2 charger. A single toilet out house is fed from a rainwater tank with a potable water tap off the rainwater tank. A Genorous size fire ring is present for low fire danger periods. There are multiple dams and some goldfish ponds with recycled solar powered water features. Plenty of open paddocks with sheep and access tracks to walk around the property. With a low number of other guests we had an undisturbed quiet relaxing family weekend.

4 nights at Spring Creek Valley Farm

An amazing place to camp overall. We were greeted by Bill and taken to a site sheltered from the strong winds. We got woken up by sheep as they were passing by in the mornings - they would get super close and were nice little friends to have around. The site was very private and isolated itself. There was some phone reception - just enough to send a quick text message. You get lots of space on this one all to yourself. We had a great time. Thank you Bill & family.

1 night at Maddara.Organic.Farm.and.Art

Was mine and my girlfriends first camp in Australia, Margot and Michael were super helpful and understanding. Pointed us to the best spot to pitch up which had a great view, woke up to kangaroos around us and a great sunrise. Super peaceful spot. The hosts also helped us with general travel advice around Australia, and directions to Sydney. Would recommend to anyone, and would love to stay again.

We camped on the top of the hill in the wedding paddock. Had great views. Had a bath in the tubs with a view and watched the sunset from Sunset hill. Walked all over this large property. Very nice place.

Easy to find Large area to choose a spot to camp in Fires allowed and we were allowed to collect firewood at property. Lots of wild life. Rained but we still enjoyed our time there

Weekend Trip to Burrendah Farm Camp

Gorgeous view, perfect for an overnighter with my kids. Sunset was beautiful. Had water at the site, even though we’d brought our own, and Sarah was great. Very welcoming and even took us around the farm in their 4x4. Kids loved it, slept like a log and would highly recommended for an overnight stay.
