Modern, self-contained, pool house, and working sheep/cattle property in a peaceful country setting, 20 minutes from Yass. Great water views overlooking Murrumbidgee River and exclusive use of swimming pool. Break your trip with your four-legged friend/s, or stay a few days and relax in our clean country's fresh air. See the stars, and hear the silence. The space consists of a queen-sized bed with 100% cotton white line-dried sheets, and a modern ensuite bathroom. A sitting area with a sink, refrigerator, microwave, and stove. The cooking space is quite small and best for fairly basic food preparation. Also included is a TV. (32" flat screen) and a DVD player. We are very pleased to announce that we have just installed reverse cycle heating and air conditioning for your added comfort. There are ceiling fans if required. A 'Tastic' heater is in the bathroom for extra comfort. Enjoy exclusive use of our 10m swimming pool, BBQ, and deck. We will take children, over 5 years old, who are able to swim, but would insist that parents supervise at all times. A fold-up bed is available as an extra bed, and the charge for extras per night is $30.00, to cover costs with extra laundry, cleaning etc. You will find some up-to-date magazines to relax with while here, DVDs, and complimentary chocolate. The nearest shop/food outlet is in Yass, so I advise guests to bring dinner with them or to book a home-cooked meal to be served in the BnB. Our guests have exclusive use of the swimming pool and deck with elevated views of the surrounding spectacular scenery. Feel free to wander around the garden. We endeavour to keep the pool sparkling, but cannot always guarantee perfection. No diving please, for your own safety. A BBQ is available for use on the deck. Other things to note Continental breakfast is included, and if you require an evening meal, I can provide a two-course dinner for $40/person.. Please give advance notice if this is required, preferably when booking. We are a pet-friendly B&B, and welcome your pets but expect them to be clean and obedient. We charge $10 extra for one dog/night and $15/night for two dogs/night. We ask that you provide your pets with bedding and food bowls, and they are not allowed on the bed or sofa under any circumstances. The current owner has stocked the farm with ‘rescued’ animals which she has nursed back to health, including farm animals and retired racehorses. Her care for the animals has made them friendly to visitors who can interact and care for them during their stay, providing a complete farm life experience for all the family! Children and guests love petting or feeding the sheep, horses, geese, and chickens and doing some daily farm chores during their stay – including collecting the free-range eggs for breakfast locking up the chooks for the evening, and letting them out in the morning. The resident cat is also friendly to children. In season there is plenty of fresh fruit to be picked in the orchard and the dam is stocked with trout. (Fishing rods are supplied – catch your own dinner!) The homestead itself is spacious and equipped with all the conveniences for your stay. Three queen bedrooms cater for up to 6 guests, with a sofa lounge sleeping another two. A fully stocked pantry in the large country kitchen has basic provisions – all you need to bring is the food for your meals. There are lots of places in the garden and the wrap-around verandah to sit and relax plus a gas barbecue and table settings for al fresco meals. Awakened to the sound of bird calls. I cherish the cleanliness of the river and surrounds and wish to be able to share this special environment with others who care to preserve all it offers. Located not far from Braidwood, a town steeped in history, with good shopping, coffee shops and great food. Whilst driving up our driveway through the corridor of birch trees you will start to immerse yourself and unwind before arriving at your campsite over the hill. We have 7 very unique sites ranging from absolute luxury and pampering (including all food as a package) at our glamping lodging to just pitching a tent in a secluded patch of our cattle paddock. Every site is unique and special offering amazing views and experiences and although we do have several sites, you do have your own space to roam around and unwind. Fur babies are most welcome though please ensure your fury friend is good with other dogs as we do from time to time have other families stay with their dogs. We have public access to the lake only 2 minutes from our farm gate. There is amazing fishing with Bass and Trout in the lake as well as non motorised sports for a peaceful getaway. If doing nothing is your thing, then sit back in front of the fire, enjoy a beer or wine and just admire the views. We just know you will love staying on our little slice of paradise, one of the districts best kept secrets and views :) As of February 2025 we now have public toilets for the use of all campers and guests. Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, put in watering infrastructure and built our house which we finally moved in when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity and food. If your lucky you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity you will find that in the mornings and evenings kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbit and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a firepit, drinking water and a camp kitchen. The firepit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow for your pets to stay onsite, this also includes horses. If you want exclusive use of the paddocks - refer to Group Bush Retreat.

Stay on our 2 acre block on the edge of a small village in the southern tablelands of NSW. We are conveniently close to the Hume Highway, with a level grassed site with scattered gum trees providing shade. Travellers between Melbourne and Sydney can easily pull in off the highway for a quick set up for the night, then be back on the road the next morning. Alternatively, our site is an excellent base to stay for a few days while you explore Canberra and surrounds, as it is an hour to the Nation’s capital. Sure, we can hear the highway and occasional trains as they go past on the main line but there are also plenty of bird calls and some neighbouring wallabies. There is a small creek on the boundary of the camping block that attracts birds but is not suitable for swimming. We have town water available for campers and toilet facilities are a short 400m walk to the middle of the village. The nearest dump point is 15 minutes away in the town of Yass. Winters are excellent for small fires for cooking and then putting another log on to enjoy the rest of the evening under the stars. We have dedicated fire pits or you can use your own. As an added bonus, there are metal sculptures dotted around the block created by the host. Each site is spacious enough for up to 4 vans if you are travelling in a group. It is easy to navigate through the trees and use it as a drive through.

Merigan Farm is a 1400 Hectare (3500 acre) working sheep and cattle farm. Our family has lived at Merigan for more than 50 years. It has been a farm since the 1840s and we still run sheep and cattle in a regenerative manner, to this day. It’s a pleasure to be able to share the countryside and farm with guests. We currently offer two accommodation options: Cherry Tree - A cabin with a beautiful farm outlook. With a bookcase full of books and a fire pit for cosy evenings, it's the perfect escape. The Quarters - A private section of the old farmhouse offering rural charm and a perfectly comfortable stay. Merigan is the name of the local Parish and on Ngunawal country. It has been recounted by indigenous locals that Merigan means Dingo. The story being that Merigan fought the Bunyip and in their tussle created the rivers and creeks across the range. It’s a southern Australian Mediterranean environment with distinct seasons – it can reach over 42 degrees and in the winter its been known often to snow. Sometimes in summer the easterly sea breezes reaches over the range and the smell of sea salt cools the hot evening. Merigan offers a range of activities, to relax and settle into rural life. One of the best ways to get the feel of Merigan is just taking a walk around the property. We have 3500 acres of space to meander around and a great spots for picnics, drinks and photographs. Feel free to use the Tennis Court, balls and racquets under one of the verandas at the front of the house and the bocce court at the bottom of the garden. Bungendore, 18km away, is a thriving little country town with Galleries, gift-shops, cafés, bakeries, coffee shops and bars. The Top Pub (The Royal ) is the more casual of the hotels. The Bottom Pub (The Lake George) has a fancy restaurant attached to the more informal pub area. Braidwood is a funky Heritage town about 25km East of Bungendore and well worth a visit. It has outstanding shops and eateries and 2 pubs. The Braidwood Hotel being my favourite. Tarago is 14km away. The Loaded Dog do meals but mainly on weekends (Pizzas during the week). Best to check as it varies. Other local attractions include Lark Hill Winery, Lerida Estate Winery, Turlla Truffles and Bungendore Woodworks.

With so many people coming back time and time again, bringing friends and family, this really does speak for itself. This site was previously a pine forest and was harvested back in 2018. We are clearing some ground for grazing cattle while letting some regrowth come through for the wildlife. We have plenty of kangaroos, possums, wombats just to name a few and an abundance of birdlife. We have multiple options for campers, with Tiny Pines being our newest addition for those who want some creature comforts, or are not set up to camp but want to experience the countryside. The quaint and tastefully designed cabin has everything you need to make your stay easy and enjoyable. A comfortable double bed, fridge, freezer, toilet, hot/cold shower, linen and towels. Surrounded by nature, The Tiny Pines provides you with privacy and peace so you can soak in the tranquility. In Winter, sit around the fire and relax while reading a book or cook up a storm on the BBQ. With plenty of undercover deck area, this is the perfect place to unwind and create memories. Easy access with a ramp, this is great for all ages. Sorry, no pets. Once you book this private oasis, you have the area completely on your own. With easy access from the Hume Hwy, this really does make for the ideal getaway. 4x4 is recommended for the internal farm roads leading to the cabin in wet weather. 2WD is suitable in dry conditions.
