Set in the west of Yamba and Brooms Head, and offers an escape surrounded by gumtrees, wildlife, and fresh country air. No traffic just nature noises and no light pollution for starry nights
Located just 10km along Shark Creek Road which on some apps says it is Upper Shark Creek Road? from Big River Way, tar and Dirt road, Or if you come from Byron’s Lane way turn right for 4kms. Lookout for the wooden “DEERGUN” sign on your left, that’s your entrance to the campground.
Only 15 minutes from Maclean and around 30 minutes from the coast, Yamba and BroomsHead, it’s the perfect base to explore the Clarence River, nearby beaches, and the natural beauty of the region.
5 minutes to Shark creek
Each campsite is private, peaceful, and set among the trees, . Firewood is free and drinking tank water can be supplied, There are fresh water dams to cool off in if you want.

No light pollution here so great night star gazing and the morning bird chorus is outstanding and loud.
Whether you’re in a 2WD, caravan, campervan, or tent, all setups are welcome here. There’s plenty of firewood for a classic “bush TV” (campfire), and endless opportunities for bushwalking, bike riding, birdwatching, or simply relaxing under the stars.
Nature lovers will find themselves at home the area teems with native wildlife and stunning flora. The morning bird chorus is a great way to welcome a new day. If you’re lucky you may see a rare and threatened Coastal Emu?, only 50 adults left and only in this area
Pets on leashes are welcome to join you camping.
As Shark Creek and the Paperbark forest is nearby there may be a few insects about , the bush tv smoke controls them but make sure you bring some mossie spray to be sure and suitable clothes
