1 night at Tweed Valley - Doon Doon Farm

We stayed here last night and it was just perfect. The camping spot has a beautiful view, especially in the late afternoon when the sun starts to go down — the sunset was honestly breathtaking. The sky lit up with warm colors and we had an amazing view right from our tent. The place was quiet, peaceful, and easy to find. The directions were super clear, which made getting there stress-free. We really appreciated how well-marked everything was. Would definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning views and a magical sunset. Can’t wait to come back!

If you are looking for seclusion, beautiful district views and a bit of adventure to get there then this is your place. 3km 4x4 track up a mountain which we managed with our low wheel base 4Motion VW Transporter, was a fun adventure. We didn’t have a sole around us. Mike was a super responsive host. Thank you!

Great spot , fabulous views and spacious. Good hot shower and a long drop / compost toilet that could probably have more wood shavings utilized by the users which would make it less whiffy. Well worth a visit with peace of mind that the caretaker keeps things safe and secure.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Selah in Limpinwood, and it was nothing short of magical. The stunning scenery took our breath away from the moment we arrived. The owners were absolutely wonderful - so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay special, and their warmth made us feel right at home. They went to get hay for our little ones to feed the cows and that made their trip! The campsite itself was perfect for families, especially with our little ones (2 and 3 years old). It was safe, spacious, and full of natural beauty, offering endless opportunities for exploration and play. The kids had an absolute ball, and we loved seeing them enjoy the outdoors so much. Selah is a must-visit if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. It’s the kind of place where memories are made, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommend it for families and nature lovers alike 🥰

Weekend Trip to Hilltop View

We loved our stay at Hilltop View. The view is breathtaking and the site is suitably sized and private (apart from being able to see and hear the road). We woke up in the morning surrounded by friendly cows and received regular visits from the beautiful farm dog, Wal. The site is within a 5 minute bike ride to the Clarrie Hall dam wall and 15 minutes into Uki. Lots of space to explore, we highly recommend staying here!

Emu Creek Retreat

Welcome to Emu creek Retreat One of the best destinations for hiking, camping, bushwalking, swimming, Kayaking, fishing, mountain bike riding (bicycles only), bird watching, 4wdriving and even fossicking, since the old gold mining town "Lunatics" was not far away from us. Dogs, men's best friend, are definitely welcome. If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Gerard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

Sleeping arrangements: We have a custom-made inner spring mattress that is an unusual size due to the vintage age of the vintage caravan & therefore the size, is in between a King-single & double size width & a queen-size length (which may or may not be big enough for 2 people depending on your sleeping expectations). The actual measurements are: 1.13M wide & 2M long. There is also a separate king single-size bed, on the other side of the caravan, suitable for another adult, a child or two small children. All linen and bath towels etc are provided. The caravan is cosy, with a TV, stereo, fridge, sink, wardrobe & storage space. The property is not far from the beautiful bathhouses of Mullumbimby too ie Kiva Spa & Banya bathhouse We are a pet-friendly property. If you wish to bring your friendly pet, they are welcome, but we charge a fee of $25 . Please select that you have a pet when making your booking.
