This expansive 600 acre farm is a place of joy, sharing and rare beauty! Over one kilometre of "Rocky Creek" runs through the Pecan Fields camp area, providing gorgeous waterholes for swimming, walks and great water front sites to set up camp for the weekend! You can even see Platypus in the early mornings, playing in the creek. All of the camp areas are easily access-able and flat, usually 2wd car is all you need. We also provide you with creature comforts such as a cold/ hot shower and fresh pit toilets :) When booking, only book 1 site per group, as the sites are large. You will feel like you are immersed in the beauty of nature here and yet you are only 6 minutes easy drive from the village of Dunoon, NSW 2480 and 45 minutes beautiful country drive from glorious Byron Bay beaches and it's very exciting night life! On every second sunday of the month, the Channon Markets are on, which is just 10 minutes drive from camp. Sorry, we can't cater for dogs due to camp being a native animal sanctuary. Dunoon village is cute yet, very practical. There is a general store, bottle shop and they sell ice, Mechanic, Post Office and the best bit, you can even go out for dinner or lunch depending on the day, at the Dunoon Sports Club/ Pub or Channon Tavern, then head back to your secluded country camp and cool off in the beautiful creek or warm up and enjoy some quality time around the camp fire!

We are a 40 minute drive from Mebbin National Park, 25 minutes to the town of Nimbin and just over an hour from Byron Bay and plenty of beaches. Welcome to Emu creek Retreat One of the best destinations for hiking, camping, bushwalking, swimming, Kayaking, fishing, mountain bike riding (bicycles only), bird watching, 4wdriving and even fossicking, since the old gold mining town "Lunatics" was not far away from us. Dogs, men's best friend, are definitely welcome. If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

One of the most beautiful locations we visited on our trip. The views are amazing. You choose where you want to camp - we set up on campsite No. 2 and were the only ones around. Picked up some firewood at the entrance and roasted some marshmallows as the sun set. The compost toilet at this site was a little rough around the edges but there are flushing toilets at the central area.

Beautiful location next to a little stream and some very picturesque paddocks. The paddock we were in was certainly a little overgrown and rugged but this was also the kind of "wild" vibe we were after - perfect for us, but maybe not for everybody. Phone reception was also very patchy but again, we didn't book a camping trip to sit on our phones. The communication betwen Jon & his family was great and they came down to deliver some firewood and have a nice little chat. Great place, great people, great times. ...despite getting caught in the worst storm I've ever experienced in my life. Hopefully future campers have a bit more luck with the weather.

We loved our stay at Sleepy Hollow Manor! The property is incredibly peaceful, and waking up to cows grazing right outside the van was such a cool experience. The location is perfect too, so close to Pottsville Beach and an easy drive to Byron. We had an unexpected issue with our van and had to leave it on the property while waiting for a tow truck. Tom was amazingly accommodating the whole time, with great communication and a genuinely helpful attitude. Couldn’t recommend this spot more. We’ll definitely be back! 🌿🚐🐄

This place is a true haven of peace. I can only recommend staying here for one or several nights. Nature and all the sounds that come with it are countless, creating a truly delightful auditory experience. I was so happy to be able to light a fire while watching the sunset gently illuminate the mountains. The shower and toilets at my campsite were very clean. I loved being able to cook my breakfast on the gas stove in the morning. As I didn’t have a camping stove, it was a real pleasure to enjoy a freshly cooked, hot breakfast. I highly recommend going for a swim and enjoying the refreshing coolness of the water if you get the chance. A big THANK YOU. This place is truly rejuvenating. I really needed it.
