Based near Mount Utopia, Nerrigundah, we fell in love with our little sanctuary in 2020. There are two families Dwayne, Michelle, Robbie and Sharon and their four boys Blake, Taeg, Cooper and Flynn.
Campers at heart, we started spending nearly every second weekend in our campers and this lead to many a night discussing what else we could do to make this property a place for others to use. It is a work in progress and there is plenty more to come, currently there is a ablution block that is up near the old house site, we decided it was best to have the camp area closer to the river. We have since added a camp kitchen, large undercover area and two cabins (for our own use at this stage).
Enjoy direct access to the river plus more swimming areas on the property.
Campfires are permitted. There is some firewood on the property but probably best to bring some of your own.
There is Telstra service enabling mobile coverage if needed especially for emergencies. There is also Starlink internet for your convenience.
4WDs are recommended to access this campsite. During the rain we recommend 4WD only. If dry you can access with an all wheel drive.

Our little piece of Utopia is still a work in progress but is picturesque as well as peaceful.

Millwood is located 6kms from COOMA n.s.w. in the Snowy Mountains Region and is within easy reach to a number of great locations. It is about 90 minutes from Canberra, just over an hour from Thredbo and Perisher and Mt Selwyn snowfields and 1.5 hours from all the beautiful beaches that the South Coast has to offer. A short drive of under 7 minutes takes you to the Murrumbidgee River on a sealed council road. There is a flat grassed picnic area and council gas run b-bques under cover.
You may find internet and mobile not fully covered here. I have a mobile that I use which works well depending where I stand.
Now has 3 adjacent camp sites available. If not booked by others its a quiet spot amongst a bush setting. also offers an RV site. You can relax around your firepit and enjoy watching the beautiful wildlife that come to visit the property including Kangaroos, Wombats and a variety of native birds.
The host runs a Day Spa from her home so you may like to treat yourself to some self care. Please check with host as to availability of Spa Treatments.
Why not check out our outdoor clawfoot bath during your stay. It's an amazing experience under the stars!
Tank water is available but please use sparingly. The surrounding region is hugely popular for cyclists and bushwalkers with many great tracks available to explore. Mt Gladstone now has a popular track and Iread there are plans for a big upgrade. There is a lookout at the top and can recommend Miss Heides Austrian Restaurent. Amazing authentic home cooked bavarian meals in a rustic log cabin with a fireplace. The Murrumbidgee River is just about 4 klms away, where you can enjoy a picnic along it's banks and take a dip if it's warm enough.
We prefer campers who are fully self contained. Campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is an outside basic toilet that is a compost type with sawdust and is cleaned regularly.
No pets please as we have a wildlife corridor here. * I am considering quiet well behaved pets for campers but not in the bush hut. Will verify soon*.

You have a choice of two shipping containers, both furnished with a double bed. As well as two campsites to pitch your own tent, on a flat grassy area near the converted shipping containers.
A shared toilet and hot shower is located 80m from the accommodation. You will have access to drinking water if required.
Please also note:
- Arriving time is strictly between 2pm and no later than 8pm at night .
- Checking out time is 12 pm.
- The driveway from the highway to the site is a gravel road suitable for 2WD however please drive according to conditions
- The site is located near the farm sheds, whilst we will respect your privacy you will be staying on a working farm consequently some movement and noise will not be avoidable between 8am and dark.
- You are welcome to try your luck fishing in the dam or if you have a kayak and life jacket you can bring for a paddle, however please be aware that the unfenced dam is a drowning hazard for children.
- We provide firewood at an extra cost of $20/bundle
- As there is no council bin service available we ask that you take your rubbish with you.
- Full telephone signal available for Telstra, however, any other provider is patchy.

One of Australia's two aquatic mammals, the platypus being the other.
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. IF NO CHEMICAL TOILET, DIG A HOLE AT LEAST 30CM DEEP .
There is access to a drinking water supply (mountain river water), or you can bring your own water. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking.
You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing.
Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp.
Kids aged 16 and under camp for free.
There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats.
Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline.
There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area.
I can provide a camping setup if you need extra bedding or you don't have any camping equipment or tent.

There are no amenities for campers, please BYO and leave no trace. There is plenty of branches and wood on the ground for a fire but please no fires when fire bans in place.
Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs.
Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions.

Based near Mount Utopia, Nerrigundah, we fell in love with our little sanctuary in 2020. There are two families Dwayne, Michelle, Robbie and Sharon and their four boys Blake, Taeg, Cooper and Flynn.
Campers at heart, we started spending nearly every second weekend in our campers and this lead to many a night discussing what else we could do to make this property a place for others to use. It is a work in progress and there is plenty more to come, currently there is a ablution block that is up near the old house site, we decided it was best to have the camp area closer to the river. We have since added a camp kitchen, large undercover area and two cabins (for our own use at this stage).
Enjoy direct access to the river plus more swimming areas on the property.
Campfires are permitted. There is some firewood on the property but probably best to bring some of your own.
There is Telstra service enabling mobile coverage if needed especially for emergencies. There is also Starlink internet for your convenience.
4WDs are recommended to access this campsite. During the rain we recommend 4WD only. If dry you can access with an all wheel drive.

Now has 3 adjacent camp sites available. If not booked by others its a quiet spot amongst a bush setting. also offers an RV site. You can relax around your firepit and enjoy watching the beautiful wildlife that come to visit the property including Kangaroos, Wombats and a variety of native birds.
The host runs a Day Spa from her home so you may like to treat yourself to some self care. Please check with host as to availability of Spa Treatments.

Tank water is available but please use sparingly. The surrounding region is hugely popular for cyclists and bushwalkers with many great tracks available to explore. Mt Gladstone now has a popular track and Iread there are plans for a big upgrade. There is a lookout at the top and can recommend Miss Heides Austrian Restaurent. Amazing authentic home cooked bavarian meals in a rustic log cabin with a fireplace. The Murrumbidgee River is just about 4 klms away, where you can enjoy a picnic along it's banks and take a dip if it's warm enough.
We prefer campers who are fully self contained. Campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is an outside basic toilet that is a compost type with sawdust and is cleaned regularly.
No pets please as we have a wildlife corridor here. * I am considering quiet well behaved pets for campers but not in the bush hut. Will verify soon*.

There is access to a drinking water supply (mountain river water), or you can bring your own water. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking.
You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing.
Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp.
Kids aged 16 and under camp for free.
There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats.
Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline.
There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area.
I can provide a camping setup if you need extra bedding or you don't have any camping equipment or tent.

The location was greta and had views over Lake Jindabyne. We used it as our base and it's location to town was excellent.
Be aware that the sites are excellent for camping and roof top tent but siteas 3 and 4 are tricky to parck a trailer or van.
Only 1 shower so get in early.
Overall, good experience and would return again.

Awesome spot, amazing setup and peace tranquility with all the mod cons and more. Thanks Sharon and co for sharing such a brilliant bushcamp. We thought the drive out might be a bit of adventure after rain on the first night with the camper trailer but it was no drama at all. Wildlife galore dips and swims in the river with the dogs followed by bbq and a game or two of pool. We didn’t use the fire pits but loved the smart use of caterpillar tracks. Great design and touches all round. 11/10

Camping at The Dairy (site 1) at Sapphire Coast Dairy was a glorious experience for our party of five adults. Beautiful views in all directions. Norm and Narelle welcomed us warmly and provided information about the property and the area. We had fun driving the 4WD track up to the road that takes you to the falls and two of our group explored the walking track up the hill. The facilities in the shed were appreciated including hot showers and the outdoor bathtub with the most amazing vista. We enjoyed every moment and will be back to explore more of this beautiful region.

My partner, myself and our 3 small dogs camped here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We set up camp on top of a hill and had extensive views of the property! We enjoyed watching the cows graze and listening to the bird song. We woke up early to watch the sun rise while we soaked in the outdoor bath. There is also the option of a hot outdoor shower!! The directions norm gave were clear and there was plenty of signage directing us to the camps. Norm saw us driving through the cows and called us on arrival, he came to say hello ant our site and gave us a run down of the facilities. There is a flushing toilet, a basic kitchen with kettle, microwave and fridge, an indoor rustic shower and outdoor dining with tv, games and a speaker. There’s also a fire pit here which we didn’t use due to the warmer weather. During the day we visited Tathra beach and Brogo Dam, both dog friendly locations and only 30 min drive from camp. We will definitely be back, thanks Norm!

What a great place they have made, alot of thought & hard work has gone into this camping spot. Having showers & toilets was great. We realy loved the area. Great beach, crystal clear water. Very peaceful.
You can do as much as you like or as little as you like.
We only had 1 visit from Mr Goanna ( that we saw) but he just toddled along & was fine.
Mr Red Belly Black Snake just slithered along up in the bush by the side of the track, we just kept still & he slithered away so all good. Obviously when you are camping in the bush you have to expect & respect the bush animals.
The only thing is the Drive in, we drove in when it had rained the Mountain was covered in Mist & Fog so it was very Daunting on the dirt/sandy Mountain road, definantly 4 Wheel drive road especially towing a caravan.
It is a beautiful spot and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Second stay and can happily say this time around we faced no issues! Sharon has updated the information to include instructions for resetting the amenities block pump if it plays up (first stay this happened with no solution).
Can highly recommend this camp, amenities are unreal and the location just tops it off.
Makes for a nice trip from Canberra via Badja Forest Road > Falcon road.

Fare exceeding expectations, this is the most wonderous stay. Waking up fog rolling over the mountains and a cow at your front door, it is an experience unlike any other. I will definitely be back.

Absolutely stunning. This place is a must do if in the area. Located close to Bega makes seeing the town very easy. We had the luck of being the only ones here during our 3 nights and would happily have stayed longer. The camp is located all by itself on the property making it feel truly secluded, with an amazing outlook over the property. Thanks Norm & Narelle for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy your backyard.

Me and a work colleague stayed at the ingelara farm for 5 nights, We both agreed that it was an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place to wake up and fall asleep, I would without a doubt bring the family back and 100% recommend it to anyone on the search for a relaxing and peaceful place to camp,,
