I’m the 4th generation on the farm and work alongside my parents and my husband operating the family business of milking cows. The campsite is on a private area of flat ground right beside the Oxley River with views of Mt Warning. We are excited to share our piece of paradise with others. We DO have a composting toilet but DON’T have any shower facilities. Although the creek is very close by we advise you bring your own drinking water. We are pleased to provide a gravelled campfire area along with a gorgeous outdoor setting that seats 8. Our campground provides a unique private camping opportunity. Once you book whether it is for a group of one or 25 no one else can book the site. The site is not visible from the road. Perfect for a relaxing getaway that brings you close to nature and connecting with friends. As we are a working farm, unfortunately, we cannot allow pets.

Property is located 8mins from the Pacific highway, 10mins from Mullumbimby or 18mins from Byron bay township pubs, restaurants and surfing beaches. Approximately 20mins drive to Brunswick heads surfing beaches or Byron surfing beaches. National parks for hiking or horse riding within 20mins drive. Can accommodate 2 horses in paddocks ($10per horse per night.) and parking space for horse float should you wish to bring your horses and enjoy some trails or beach riding in the area, I can give more information on places to ride on request. other activities that can be booked at additional cost include Didgeridoo Making workshops for adults and didgeridoo painting workshops for kids. this is a full day activity for adults and a half day activity for kids doing didgeridoo painting workshops. please enquire for more info and prices. In Queensland, just north of the NSW border, in the Running Creek area of the "Scenic Rim". The nearby National Park is Mt Chinghee, which is part of the Shield Volcano Group of the World Heritage Site Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. We have grassed valleys and forested hills, which provide the perfect setting for bush walking, bird watching, star gazing, or just relaxing. All of our camp sites are well separated from each other. If it's total seclusion and privacy you're after, "Fig Tree" and "Ridge Top" would be perfect for you. While "The Old Hut", and "Washout" are closer to the road, they are not visable to each other. Our newest addition., "The Reserve" is tucked away on the banks of a special shady grassed area with lots of room to spread out. Guests staying with us must have their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The sites are accessible for 4WD only. Get back to nature and explore. Many native animals have been spotted on the property wallabies, possums, echidnas, goannas, bandicoots, dingos, and koalas as well as a large variety of birds. Also a variety of frogs i.e.. Red/orange eyed tree frog, desert tree frog, white lipped tree frog, striped and spotted marsh frogs, striped rocket frog and stoney creek frogs. ( see how many different calls you can hear) This beautiful 200acre property in Camp Creek is part of the original "selection" by William Dimmock in 1895. It was a dairy farm, and at one stage the family grew market garden crops on a plateau high up the mountain, using a flyingfox to bring the crops down. Originally the property took in "Screw Gully" from Glenapp up to Tartar Creek Rd. In the 60's Jim Dimmick (grandson to William) sold out and the land was sub-divided. The property now supports up to 40 head of breeding cattle and 2 retired horses. Scenic Rim hosts local wineries; restaurants and coffee shops, and Mt Tamborine, all within an hour drive. Gob-smacking views of Nimbin Rocks. Photos can't convey the mystical presence you get in real life - it's like camping inside a poem. Horse-shoe bordered by 2km of Goolmangar Creek - known platypus habitat. Secluded - but only 5-min drive to Nimbin village, the alternative capital (pop 1,600) of Australia. Sites are out of eye-shot from 'the others'. Limit of five dispersed sites across 30 acres. You'll need to Arrive Before Dark to be directed. Really, you do. Creek-sites suit experienced, self-contained campers (with 4wd) that like a bit of space. & know how to deal with their own shit. Literally. (Update: we're now in a dry spell meaning all sites are currently accessible with 2wd.) Cons: MUST check-in before dark. Camping (especially creek sites) is weather-dependent - not accessible in extended periods of rain (by 4wd, or otherwise) - but who wants to camp in the rain anyway? In 'dry-windows' (which we have now!) , even 2wd is fine, but do check the forecast/correspond with me before booking. If it's looking grim, it's cool to cancel with 24-hrs notice. It's a farm. Not a centralized campground offering full-amenities or caravan access. As free-range campers 'on-that-farm, there are some free-range cows' (& chooks) . So you'll need to partially share the land with them. They're somewhat curious, but not aggressive.

In Queensland, just north of the NSW border, in the Running Creek area of the "Scenic Rim". The nearby National Park is Mt Chinghee, which is part of the Shield Volcano Group of the World Heritage Site Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. We have grassed valleys and forested hills, which provide the perfect setting for bush walking, bird watching, star gazing, or just relaxing. All of our camp sites are well separated from each other. If it's total seclusion and privacy you're after, "Fig Tree" and "Ridge Top" would be perfect for you. While "The Old Hut", and "Washout" are closer to the road, they are not visable to each other. Our newest addition., "The Reserve" is tucked away on the banks of a special shady grassed area with lots of room to spread out. Guests staying with us must have their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The sites are accessible for 4WD only. Get back to nature and explore. Many native animals have been spotted on the property wallabies, possums, echidnas, goannas, bandicoots, dingos, and koalas as well as a large variety of birds. Also a variety of frogs i.e.. Red/orange eyed tree frog, desert tree frog, white lipped tree frog, striped and spotted marsh frogs, striped rocket frog and stoney creek frogs. ( see how many different calls you can hear) This beautiful 200acre property in Camp Creek is part of the original "selection" by William Dimmock in 1895. It was a dairy farm, and at one stage the family grew market garden crops on a plateau high up the mountain, using a flyingfox to bring the crops down. Originally the property took in "Screw Gully" from Glenapp up to Tartar Creek Rd. In the 60's Jim Dimmick (grandson to William) sold out and the land was sub-divided. The property now supports up to 40 head of breeding cattle and 2 retired horses. Scenic Rim hosts local wineries; restaurants and coffee shops, and Mt Tamborine, all within an hour drive. Only a 1.5 hour drive to the Gold Coast.

Our property is an easy walking distance to the local village where you will find the shop/ general store and the pub is dog friendly. It's around 1km to The Channon Craft Market grounds, and the markets are on the second Sunday of each month. Lots of crafts, clothes, jewellery, gifts, food stalls and entertainers to see and enjoy. This campsite is located right on the banks of the flowing creek. It's a private site with access to two good swimming holes. Enjoy warming your feet around the campfire in the evenings, subject to fireban conditions. We welcome only self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower and drinking water. There is access to rubbish facilities. For those wanting to explore a bit further we are 15kms from Nightcap National Park and the beautiful Protesters Falls. There is a walking track that leads through lush World Heritage rainforest right up to the falls. Well behaved pets are welcome. No hunters.

Malabar Farm is a working Beef and Equine property situated in walking distance (600 metres to the Hotel) from the idyllic village of Uki. Steep in farming history, was originally a part of the logging district and later operated as a dairy up until early 2001. The farm nestles in to the foothills of Uki and the Twin Sister Mountains. The southern boundary is 2 klm of Tweed River. 3 permanent creeks meander through the property providing an abundance of wild life and camp sites to dream of. The long stretch of Tweed River frontage provides for fishing (bass aplenty), and canoeing. The equine training and breeding section of the farm is to be visited by appointment most days, and for safety reasons is not commonly accessible. Petting of small animals is an optional extra for children and beginners, can also arrange a riding lesson in one of the 2 enclosed arenas, as another optional extra cost.

Gob-smacking views of Nimbin Rocks. Photos can't convey the mystical presence you get in real life - it's like camping inside a poem. Horse-shoe bordered by 2km of Goolmangar Creek - known platypus habitat. Secluded - but only 5-min drive to Nimbin village, the alternative capital (pop 1,600) of Australia. Sites are out of eye-shot from 'the others'. Limit of five dispersed sites across 30 acres. You'll need to Arrive Before Dark to be directed. Really, you do. Creek-sites suit experienced, self-contained campers (with 4wd) that like a bit of space. & know how to deal with their own shit. Literally. (Update: we're now in a dry spell meaning all sites are currently accessible with 2wd.) Cons: MUST check-in before dark. Camping (especially creek sites) is weather-dependent - not accessible in extended periods of rain (by 4wd, or otherwise) - but who wants to camp in the rain anyway? In 'dry-windows' (which we have now!) , even 2wd is fine, but do check the forecast/correspond with me before booking. If it's looking grim, it's cool to cancel with 24-hrs notice. It's a farm. Not a centralized campground offering full-amenities or caravan access. As free-range campers 'on-that-farm, there are some free-range cows' (& chooks) . So you'll need to partially share the land with them. They're somewhat curious, but not aggressive.

Sugar beach ranch is a really special place. Right on the beach with gorgeous forest and horse paddocks surrounding. The campsite is lovely with nice shady trees, toilet and water. I took my horse for a horse stay which was awesome for sunrise and sunset rides. It’s a nice spot with a horse or without. The pool is lovely too. Hosts were lovely and helpful. Highly recommend!

We stayed for two nights at the Big Dam Camp Site and it was absolutely beautiful. Anna’s hospitality was incredible — she went above and beyond during our stay, and I would 100% recommend this place. We’ll definitely be back! 🥰 We forgot our gas bottles and all the firewood was wet, but Anna helped us out and even lent us her own gas bottle. We’re so thankful for such an amazing host! The campsite we chose had a little dam with a kayak, was extremely private, and was exactly what we were looking for. Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway!

Fig tree is a secluded campsite, with cool breezes up the valley and views of mountain ranges. Heather showed us to the site and had firewood chopped and ready. The site is neatly mowed and the firepit is great. Cows and kangaroos visit in the late afternoon and then the sounds of nature begin. We had a very relaxing couple of days. Thanks for your hospitality, Heather. This was our second stay, and we will be back again.

Kerry Valley Secret - Stockyard Creek, Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites in the Scenic Rim are exclusive bush campsites - once you have booked no-one else will be able to camp at that site - and they are perfect for groups! The Stockyard Creek Campsite is situated on the babbling Stockyard Creek and there is a short walk to the bigger Albert River waterhole. This pretty spot features Silky Oaks and Ironwood trees, views to Luke's Bluff and Ding Bing falls in Lamington National Park, has plenty of shade for tents and a huge space for caravans and camper trailers to turn around in Family groups love the site for the babbling but shallow child friendly Stockyard Creek - perfect for paddling and playing in. The Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites have larger waterholes than the Stockyard Creek Campsite and you are able to wander the 2km of river frontage while fishing. They have easy access off the main Kerry Road. Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River. Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park. Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River. Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided). Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest. All campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of kindling provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table.
