Weekend Trip to Warning View Campground

Absolutely loved our 3rd stay at Warning View. We have a massive group who book every year and we all LOVE staying! Super easy to get to, toilet, table and wash sink is super convenient, especially with large groups. We love a cold dip in the creek to wake us up in the morning! Host is great with communication and is lovely.

3 nights at Hazy Stays

We enjoyed our stay a lot. It was quiet, the beds comfortable and had a lovely view of the hills from the patio/ bed. We loved the fire at night time and had plenty of wood from the 2 bundle package. Its close to Potsville which has nice food options, we got nice Thai food as we arrived late the first night. The Thai closes early so we took it home and had it in front if the fire. We also had a lovely breakfast at Black Drop which i can highly recommend, loved by gluten free hubby, fussy eater 11 year old and me who can't eat eggs or bacon. I don't recommend to arrive at night as it would have been a breeze during daylight but harder at night time but Michaley was very helpfull to guide us to the tiny house. All in all lovely few days away. Thank you Michaley and Josh.

Beautiful place to get away! Well maintained camp grounds, beautiful views, serenity. Shops are only a 5 minute drive, but you still feel very secluded. Bob was awesome and super helpful. We rented his kayaks to go exploring and fishing in the big dam which is less than 1 kilometre away…. Yes we caught fish

Really enjoyed our weekend at the property, nice misty environment perfect for campfires, Tracey was stand out lovely and really appreciated her hospitality and care. Toilet is much cleaner than expected from a farm porta-loo, and property is well taken care of. Make sure you bring all your own cooking equipment and its a perfect off grid campsite.

We absolutely loved the location, right on the river with Dolphins swimming past! Such a contrasting site with cows grazing behind us and a pristine river in front. Easy to get in and out of and the grassy sites are large and perfect. Lovely hosts and firewood/ice available on site.

We loved Toms Land, loved the cows visiting us. It was beautiful and green. Plenty of shade and plenty of camps in the sun. Lovely little creek to have a paddle in(was too cold in June). Missed out on viewing the platypus, maybe next time. So many places to have a walk, so close to a beautiful soap shop up the road( sleepy Hollow soap Co) Only 10 minutes to Pottsville as well. Will definitely be back again.

Such a wonderful camping experience! Our kids had the best time exploring the creek and riding their bikes! There were 11 adults and 9 kids in our group and we had so much space to set up our camp without feeling on top of each other. It was a bit chilly to test out the bath but we will definitely be back in the warmer months to swim in the creek and explore the surrounding area more. There were clean port a loos provided which were spread out between sites. Picking a site is first in first serve basis but they all looked large and flat. We will definitely be back!

Babbling brook, dark skies and no light pollution, crisp (freezing) air and a campfire at the Pecan Waterhole provided the backdrop to a much needed switch off!!

There are goats (with babies) in a paddock next to Site 2, and a horse paddock with 7 horses in front of the tent only sites (7 to 10). We do have a water tap though to fill your tanks and a couple of electric plugs to charge your essentials (check the small old shed close to Site 1). We have 10 different sites, 6 for caravan / RVs/ tents and 4 for tents only (with access only with 4WD) in two different spots of the property - for a total of 20 guests max. It is a former cattle farm that is being currently reforested to the original Big Scrub rainforest. The proceeds from Hipcamp are used to reforest the land. PLEASE make sure to take your garbage away and remember the campsites are for fully contained campers only (no toilets on site). You NEED to be fully contained to stay in the property. You can enjoy walking around and explore the magic sunsets of the Byron Hinterland. there are a fee billabong/ creeks, with the biggest one next to site 7/ 10 (there is a trail from there).

Bungawalbin Wildlife Reserve

In 1987 I moved from Sydney to The Bungawalbin. It was nothing but bush back then but that was the attraction for me. I had been a clerk in the Dept Social Security in Sydney but my dream was to build a homestead and run some cattle. I had no idea what I was in for. I had no building skills and was in no way a handyman. There was no power, except for a couple of car batteries and 3 x 42 watt solar panels. I bought a chainsaw, a generator and a camp oven and 35 years later I am still here. I have come to love the Bungawalbin and have formed a very real bond with the whole area and have learnt so much in the journey. Like most parts of the East Coast the land has been badly managed since European invasion in the way of logging, grazing, farming and burning practices that have degraded the diversity of what was once possibly the most diverse part of Australia. The bush is resilient but there is a limit to what it can withstand and I fear this precious wetlands is disappearing fast. 2 years ago the bushfires devastated the whole forest leaving very little undamaged and it is still struggling to recover.

Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase. Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. The campsite is accessible by 2WD and can accommodate caravans, campervans and camper trailers. The sites are generally level and grassy.

Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet is a family friendly farm, situated on a sixty six acre (27 hectares) property that fronts Terania Creek opposite the village of The Channon, Northern NSW. The property is completely off-grid and contains 800m of creek frontage with fishing spots, a swimming hole for campers, and abundant wildlife ideal for bird watchers. Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet has recently become a community of 8 private residences that share this beautiful property. We kindly ask that campers respect the residents’ privacy, however if you spot them on the common grounds, they are always up for a friendly chat. CAMPSITE The campsite is situated on the communal grounds at the heart of Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet on flat lawn surrounded by bamboo and the sounds of the rainforest. We also have 10 raised camping shelters on offer, suitable for small tents for 1-2 people. Campers have close access to bathrooms built from eco-friendly shipping containers with composting toilets and warm showers; a fire pit, a kitchen garden to share from, an education/function center (available for hire), a common sheltered area to relax with wifi, and an equipped shared kitchen. OTHER NOTES We strictly have a no drug and alcohol policy. Due to our policy and customs, we kindly ask that no pork products enter the property, and that reasonably modest clothing is worn (shoulders down to knees covered is fine) including around the swimming hole. Please note this is not the place for partying, but a place for connecting with nature and nurturing wellbeing. We kindly ask that all rubbish is taken off the premise as there are no bins.
