Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

5 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents600 acres · Kyogle, NSW
Experience Figtree Farm at Findon Creek, a 600-acre natural oasis. Tucked away in a tranquil, secluded valley, this hidden gem is surrounded by Long Creek to the south and Findon Creek to the west, while the northern edge extends to the breathtaking Border Ranges National Park. On Gullibal land, Figtree Farm provides captivating vistas of Jalgumbin (Mt Lindesay) to the west and Lever's Plateau, a designated wilderness area of unlogged subtropical rainforest, to the north. This much-loved family-owned farm has a rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a beef property. Today, it flourishes with a bio-diverse planting of native trees and a bespoke joinery workshop crafting designer furniture. While Figtree Farm has been a camping destination for family and friends for many years and now we're happy to extend this welcome to Hipcampers too. As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

Binalong Forest Retreat

4 sites · RVs, Tents30 acres · Upper Burringbar, NSW
Binalong Forest Retreat is a 30 acre corner of the beautiful Tweed Shire in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Consisting of 25 acres of tall native forest, with a five acre clearing for the dwelling, studio building and sheds, it is primarily an artist's retreat. Totally private and surrounded by the natural environment, staying here is akin to being in a national park. So if you love nature, away from the hustle and bustle of cities and suburbia, you will appreciate this place we call home. We see ourselves as custodians of the forest, protecting it for future generations. This property is also registered with Land for Wildlife. Being on a ridge Binalong Court is a steep bitumen road to the cul-de-sac. Number 59 has a 600m bitumen driveway, steep at first then a gentle climb up the side of the ridge. The driveway was impacted by the flooding rains over 2022 summer which blocked drains and eroded the edges in places. Happily the road is now repaired.

You will notice the energy shift into the safe embrace of our land, protected by Springbrook Mountain. The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek. We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy. As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot. It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world. Highview Farm

8 sites · RVs, Tents200 acres · Loadstone, NSW
We are in the beautiful Northern Rivers of NSW, twelve kms from the Queensland border, travelling down through the picturesque Lions Road and thirty kilometers to the south of us is the beautiful township of Kyogle. We run thirty-five to forty head of cattle and 9 horses, and one very friendly dog (Skye). We have a freshwater creek running through the property, which is great for a cool dip in the warmer weather. Wallabies roam through the property with many colourful birds living and nesting in the surrounding trees and stumps during nesting season. Other wildlife can be spotted like platypus, although shy will show their faces if you sit quietly by the creek in the early mornings. Nearby are the Border Ranges National Park with wonderful walks from as little as ten to fifteen minutes drive. There are also lookouts and walking tracks abundant both close by and in the national parks around the Kyogle area. The Pinnacle, a well-known lookout is a twenty-five-minute drive and a 200m walk that offers an awesome view of Mount Warning and the surrounding valley. Plan your trip for a morning as on a clear day you can see the coastline. Our property offers space to spread out or walk around the creeks and enjoy the peace and quiet away from traffic or the business of living in cities. Plenty of room for a game of cricket or footy or just sit in the cool and relax reading a book or two. We value nature and our environment and ask that you respect and care for the land that you are sharing with us during your visit. We have six sites in total all with creek access, five are suitable for caravans, and the sixth site is a very private campsite, 4wd-accessible, (2wd normally but not in wet weather). This site is only being offered for tents or camper trailers. We always ensure a limited number of campers so you get the space and tranquility you deserve on your camping trip. No side by side camping, always spacious and comfortable. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet and we kindly ask you take all waste when you leave.
