Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

On arrival, powered sites, please phone our on-site caretaker Dylan 0488 611 706, and he can assist you to find a spot that suits you and your group. Unpowered sites can choose anywhere suitable for them. We do have internet reception. Occasionally reception can be weak depending on what the network is doing. Generally, it is not a problem. Bring Mosquito/sandfly spray especially if camping by the lake. Campfires allowed. Wood for sale, $10 cash per milk crate, from camp kitchen. Please be honest and place cash in the "Honesty Box". Fire rings are available at the sites. Please leave them where they are as moving them is destroying the surrounding areas. Thankyou. Pet friendly. Due to our wildlife all dogs must be on a lead or tethered by a rope and under owners' control at all times. Dog poo must be picked up. No one wants to step in your dog's poo. Please note - All the area that has been slashed in the front paddocks you can camp in and spread out.Beach access is straight over the road from the front gate. You can lite fires and firewood is for sale at the farm gate store honesty box further down the road from the gate you enter if you don't bring your own.Escape the modern tourist world and in a pristine, undeveloped old country farming area right on the coast near the mouth of the famous Snowy River. Amazing fishing in both the River and Corringle Beach, with many different species caught at different times of the year. Enjoy the 40-kilometre deserted beach, sun baking (even nude if that's your thing), and swimming, but care must be taken (unpatrolled surf beach). Romantic sunsets with no one but the odd seal and sounds of the waves to disturb you. Beach fire at night is something special to do. The beach track is across from the front gate, there is no beach sign from the road because the public will then use the track which is only for Hipcampers and you wont enjoy the deserted beach. Call me if you cant find the track, but most people have not had a problem. Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

Enjoy the 70 Acres of shady grounds with plenty of wildlife, including pretty faced wallabies and abundant birdlife. Located conveniently 45kms south of Townsville and Magnetic Island ferry terminal,45km north of Ayr and 8km north of Giru. The 20-acre dam is very dry at the moment (November/December) , with lots of weeds and Lilly pads. Birds are loving it! On arrival, powered sites, please phone our on-site caretaker Dylan 0488 611 706, and he can assist you to find a spot that suits you and your group. Unpowered sites can choose anywhere suitable for them. We do have internet reception. Occasionally reception can be weak depending on what the network is doing. Generally, it is not a problem. Bring Mosquito/sandfly spray especially if camping by the lake. Campfires allowed. Wood for sale, $10 cash per milk crate, from camp kitchen. Please be honest and place cash in the "Honesty Box". Fire rings are available at the sites. Please leave them where they are as moving them is destroying the surrounding areas. Thankyou. Pet friendly. Due to our wildlife all dogs must be on a lead or tethered by a rope and under owners' control at all times. Dog poo must be picked up. No one wants to step in your dog's poo. Please note - All the area that has been slashed in the front paddocks you can camp in and spread out.Beach access is straight over the road from the front gate. You can lite fires and firewood is for sale at the farm gate store honesty box further down the road from the gate you enter if you don't bring your own.Escape the modern tourist world and in a pristine, undeveloped old country farming area right on the coast near the mouth of the famous Snowy River. Amazing fishing in both the River and Corringle Beach, with many different species caught at different times of the year. Enjoy the 40-kilometre deserted beach, sun baking (even nude if that's your thing), and swimming, but care must be taken (unpatrolled surf beach). Romantic sunsets with no one but the odd seal and sounds of the waves to disturb you. Beach fire at night is something special to do. The beach track is across from the front gate, there is no beach sign from the road because the public will then use the track which is only for Hipcampers and you wont enjoy the deserted beach. Call me if you cant find the track, but most people have not had a problem. This walking access is steep, easier tracks can be driven to down the road.Or take a dip in the river further down the road, and explore the waterways, with many birds; black swans in the lakes next to camp, plus kangaroos, wombats, emu and deer. There is a boat ramp just down the road to explore the river system. Perfect for water sports, and with fish cleaning tables at the wharf.  Go by boat to the Marlo Hotel from the wharf straight over the river.Orbost is 15 minutes drive and has a supermarket, hotel, bottle shop and other conveniences. We are open to accepting larger group bookings, but please discuss this with us first. Other things you can do in the area: - Driving trips to High Country Scenic Route and exploring the High Country (4-5 hour round trip).- Visit the Buchan Caves about an hour into the High Country - they are amazing.- Explore Cape Conran & you can even Dive for Abalone and Crayfish.- Visit Lakes Entrance and buy Seafood from the Trawlers.- Drive to Mt Hotham ski resort and explore the Omeo High Country (3 hours)- Visit Gordon at the Opal & Gemstone House in Orbost and find out about the gold, geology and gemstones of the area, hearing first-hand stories about how the area was many years ago from a great local old-timer who loves to share his knowledge and the old ways things were done.

We are pet friendly, please remember to have your pets protected against ticks. You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please DO NOT dig toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up and leave a real mess!! Campfires permitted in designated areas. We loved the peace and tranquility as it was pretty quiet. The views were amazing. I would speak to Ben prior to booking to get the right spot if you would like a powered site due to the differences. For example we stayed on a large concrete slab due to having a 25 ft motorhome. Luckily it wasn’t windy so we didn’t have to tie down awning. If it was windy it would been hard to move it off the slab nearer grass due to electrical hook up.

What an amazing stay! A big thanks to Richard and Roslyn for hosting all 8 of us in our yearly camp trip. They were extremely accomodating and friendly throughout the entire 2 night stay. We enjoyed the lily pad pond where we played with Rc boats and walks around. The atmosphere of the cows were soothing and relaxing and getting a chance to feed them made the trip amazing. The location is very convenient and close to foster beach only 30 mins away where we enjoyed a beach day out. I’d definitely recommend visiting this amazing stay that is kid friendly and options with powered sites, toilet and showers available it made all the difference to our camp.

Large cleared area with direct water access. Awesome paddleboarding and fishing. Very level ground so really easy to set up camp comfortably. Fire-pits already built (will try them out next time when there is no total fire ban active) Very peaceful, camp sites are very spread out, can't hear or see your neighbours. Great tree cover. All round fantastic getaway, will definitely be back and try a couple other camp spots on the property!

We loved our stay at Sleepy Hollow Manor! The property is incredibly peaceful, and waking up to cows grazing right outside the van was such a cool experience. The location is perfect too, so close to Pottsville Beach and an easy drive to Byron. We had an unexpected issue with our van and had to leave it on the property while waiting for a tow truck. Tom was amazingly accommodating the whole time, with great communication and a genuinely helpful attitude. Couldn’t recommend this spot more. We’ll definitely be back! 🌿🚐🐄

This was such a great experience. We originally booked over the weekend of the QLD cyclone Alfred, and were only able to return in December, but the whole process was seamless. We booked on Hipcamp, arrived, checked in, and headed straight to the Mills Point camping area. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with manicured lawns, clean spaces, and everyone being respectful and keeping to themselves. It was a little more congested than I expected, but still a lovely, safe space for the kids. We went exploring through Pomona and Eumundi, wandered the markets, grabbed a coffee, picked up some biltong, and enjoyed the local atmosphere before heading back to spend the whole afternoon in the water. The scenery was gorgeous — ocean views, fresh air, kangaroos hopping by, plus a restaurant, a vibey bar, and even gelato on site. Overall, a wonderful stay and a place we’d happily return

They are about a one-hour drive south of the Sunshine Coast's main hub, Noosa, or an hour north of the state's capital city, Brisbane. The region is a natural playground of walking tracks, horse trails and abseiling locations, the mountains are also home to six small townships, linked by rail and country roads. Please note there is highway noise at this site. Campers must take their rubbish with them.
