I looked for a place to meet up with our son and two girls for the holidays and came across Wallaby Downs which seemed to fit the bill.
We travel in a 21 ft road van and had no trouble getting to this property. The views down to the dam from our site amazing. The girls loved feeding the cows and playing on the hammock and zip line not to mention the electric carts that they couldn’t get enough of.
The toilets and showers were very clean.
To Dan & Renee some of the best hosts in over 11 years travelling Australia thanks for such a wonderful friendly experience keep up the great work you are doing on Wallaby Downs

First time driving in Sarina range in 12 years while living in Mackay region and i found this beautiful site to stay for 3 days recommended by my friends who came here before.
Highly recommended-beautiful, peaceful, clean,
Specially the toilet amenities and shower room.
Daniel and his partner were so friendly as well.
10 out of 10 mate!!!

The friendliest owners, idyllic views, spacious sites and extremely clean amenities. Perfect!
Welcoming, friendly hosts.
Facilities are great, clean and well maintained. The view is very relaxing to chill out.
Our grandchildren had a blast on the go-karts.

I could not recommend this place enough, You are welcomed like you are family. There is so much for the kids and the bike track is perfect size for anyone to get out and have a ride!

We absolutely loved our stay at Wallaby Downs. Easy to find, fabulous views down to the dam from the elevated, grassy area for caravans. Amenities were new, clean and spacious. Some great options for kids and families as well.
We just soaked up the serenity and we will definitely be back.
Two of the most welcoming and friendliest hosts you could wish for.
The campsite is absolutely beautiful, with amazing sunrise and sunset views. The picturesque lake made the whole experience even more special. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, which we really appreciated.
The kids had an amazing time enjoying the buggy experience, kayaking, and the little playground. Most of all, we felt so welcomed by the incredibly kind and friendly hosts, Dan, Renae, and Byron.
Thank you for making our stay so memorable! We can’t wait to come back.

The best camping experience we’ve ever had! The campsite was beautiful, peaceful, and so well looked after. The kids absolutely loved it and are already asking when we can go back! ❤️
The host was honestly the best,so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. You can really tell they care about their guests and making sure everyone has an amazing stay.
It’s not often you find a place that the whole family enjoys this much, but this one definitely exceeded our expectations. We left with such beautiful memories and are already looking forward to coming back.
Without a doubt, the best campsite we’ve stayed so far. Highly, highly recommend! Thank you Dan, Rene and Bayron❤️

What a well set up camp and farm. The views are amazing and being in the mountains reminded me of home (NZ).
Dan and Renee went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and were the perfect hosts.
Dan has a very special place. The view this morning up the valley was spectacular. We did get a light shower of rain which did not worry us overly. I would recommended this hip camp for a wide range of campers. It is quite close to Mackay for a quick shop or Serina even closer. Thanks Dan.
Absolutely loved the place and Dan and his partner were so hospitable and helpful.
Already planning on going back.

Beautiful location, friendly staff and clean facilities. The kids enjoyed getting up close to the animals, love riding mini ATV’s. We enjoyed our stay and we would definitely like to come back.

Dan and his family were so welcoming and friendly, we felt so at home. The views of the valley and hills around the dam from the elevated camp sites was amazing. It was a pity we were there only one night passing through but we will definitely be checking in again to stay in the future. Especially gorgeous was having Charlie the dog falling asleep and snoring on my foot whilst sitting around the fire.

We booked here for 2 nights originally and enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed another 2 nights after our weekend plans!
We had an amazing stay at Wallaby Downs! The view from our campsite was so relaxing each day and the company from the hosts felt like old friends!
The toilet and shower facilitates wet spotless and really roomy!
The kids had a ball riding their motorbikes on the kids motorbike track during our stay, too! We can’t wait to come back and bring some mates!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Wallaby Downs. We were greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome, which made us feel right at home.
The toilets and showers were modern, spotless and very well maintained throughout our stay.
We enjoyed our visit and would happily stay here again.
Wallaby downs is a nice relaxing spot to camp. The amenities are clean and tidy, the grounds are kept clean and the hosts are very welcoming.
Place was realy nice and well set out. Only issue was the person who wanted everyone in the camping area to listen to their music at midnight, but i guess you cannot blame the camp sight for that.
Our family had a great 2 night stay. With heaps of stuff to do for the kids - including buggie rides and cow feeding. The view is beautiful and we had an amazing time, the owners are very friendly, welcoming and helpful

I took my family to Wallaby Downs for the first time this weekend. By far it was so much better than expected. The hosts Dan and his wonderful family were absolutely fantastic. Would recommend to everyone I know. The amenities are 100% perfection for children and my family and the views. When you first wake up are the most pitch perfect you could think of.

Amazing place with stunning views! We had so much fun over the weekend at Wallaby Downs. The campground is wonderful, toilets & showers are so clean, hosts are lovely.
There’s so many activities for kids to do, they weren’t bored at all.
Dog friendly is always a win for us.
We can’t wait to go back again. Thanks guys!
