The best cabin rentals in Australia

·

The perfect option for when it's too cold (you'll love the fireplace) or too hot (you'll be grateful for the shade) to sleep in a tent, cabins can be found across Australia. And even though micro-cabins have swept the nation—popping up everywhere from Western Australia's beaches and Cairns' rainforest to Country New South Wales—cabin camping doesn't mean you have to go small. Here, options vary widely, from repurposed shipping containers with kitchenettes and ensuite bathrooms to more luxurious lodges situated on remote farms or yoga retreats. You can spend the night in a South Australia log cabin, book a private beach cottage just outside of Perth, check in to a historic mining cabin in Victoria, or even spend the night on an island in Tasmania. From the intimate to the sprawling, options exist to suit all tastes and budgets all year-round.

Coober Pedy Views is located on the fringe of Coober Pedy and offers a unique outback camping experience for guests who are more adventurous and prefer privacy and a secure location. New Outdoor Toilet is completed.... Sadly, Price rise coming from June 2026 as my pricing has been the same once 2019 other than a small one this yr. Still cheaper than other parks in the area with spectacular views available and so green out there, it’s beautiful In 2019 I was sitting in my Alfresco Area feeling that the beauty offered in front of my property should be shared to people I thought might appreciate a different aspect to Coober. Since that time I have probably had 2000+ guests enjoy what Coober Pedy Views has to offer. Whilst it remains a rustic type setting, with campers needing to be SELF SUFFICIENT (Flushing LOO with a VIEW is now available for campers without their own) I can offer Power (subject to availability) $10 pn to 6/8 sites. Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely. Bookings can be made via Hipcamp.com and more information via WikiCamp.com or call direct for enquiries or make a booking

We also welcome groups – if you're interested in booking as a group, please message the host, and we can open up extra sites to accommodate you. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit under the stars – perfect for roasting marshmallows, sharing stories, or simply soaking in the peaceful sounds of the countryside. As a working farm, you’ll often see cattle, sheep, and horses grazing in nearby paddocks (and if you're staying creekside, they may even share the paddock with you), adding to the authentic rural charm. Kids and adults alike love watching the animals roam. Bring your camera, your campfire stories, and your sense of adventure – then relax under the stars. This unique slice of country life is ready to welcome you. Please note there is no mobile reception at the camp ground, except for limited Telstra coverage (occasionally one bar) in some spots—perfect for a digital detox!

While many of our holiday parks offer a beachfront location, Ingenia Holidays One Mile Beach takes things up a notch with a 1.6-kilometre stretch of sand, right on your doorstep. Set on the holiday park’s namesake – One Mile Beach – there’s no need to factor in a commute for your morning beach stroll or swim these holidays. If you’re feeling adventurous during your stay, you’re in for a treat with over 26 beaches located in the Port Stephens region including the 32-kilometre Stockton Beach, which is home to the largest sand dunes in the southern hemisphere. It’s these very dunes where you can experience camel rides at sunset or sandboarding down them at high speed. Choose between camping, caravan sites, cabins or villas for your stay at Ingenia Holidays One Mile Beach – with direct beach access available from all villas for those who enjoy the idea of waking up to the sound of rolling waves. While you’ve got the best of Port Stephens less than 15 minutes’ drive away, there’s plenty to keep the family entertained within the holiday park grounds such as a games room, jumping cushion, playground and ball court. Given its position along the coastline, seafood lovers will love the local oyster bars and seafood restaurants close by, like restaurant institution Rick Steins at Bannisters.
