We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Bush camping on 100 acres in the Tinderry Range at about 1400 metres altitude. Seclusion and adventure all within an hour of Canberra and twenty minutes from Michelago and the Monaro highway. Big skies and dark nights for star-gazing are likely; or perhaps you'll be nestled in cloud; or hidden by falling snow. There are numerous tracks with spectacular views around the property for bush walking or mountain bike riding. The tracks are surrounded by sub-alpine flora and fauna (such as wallaby's, wombats, lyrebirds) and nearby in the Tinderry Nature Reserve. Tinderry Range is a rugged range east of the Monaro highway accessed mostly through Michelago or an hour and a half from Braidwood (when dirt roads are reasonable). The range is only around 70km away from the coast, thus enabling a sea mist to often roll over us in the late afternoon. Summer temperatures are a pleasant 6 degrees or so cooler than nearby Canberra. You may choose between a number of options for camping depending on your camping desires and set up. There are numerous tracks around our property or nearby Tinderry Nature Reserve. You may go exploring to find the springs or choose to stick to easy walking tracks that follow the contours. We will provide a map. Tracks are also great for mountain bike riding and exploring the unusual mix of sub-alpine, montane and coastal flora and fauna. There is numerous species of bird life and regular calls from lyre birds. This area has fascinating history with the largest eucalyptus distillery in Australia until the late 1950's and very popular with a number of bushrangers such as the Clarke Brothers who had numerous hideouts. No amenities. BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. Campfires (except on fire ban days or when we advise otherwise) are okay--usually recommended. Normally dry firewood is easy to find, or purchase some from us if you prefer. The exception is the bell tent glamping option,' Tin Can Ridge Glamping' which has a toilet included as well as firewood and shortly its own wood stove! Some campsites are best accessed by 4WD, or on foot. or gain access to the glamping tent with us escorting you. Camp lightly. No hunting. Do nothing illegal. Take all waste with you. Respect the land, the wildlife and people. Keep the peace. Enjoy.

There are no amenities for campers, please BYO and leave no trace. There is plenty of branches and wood on the ground for a fire but please no fires when fire bans in place. Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions. No set areas for camping - choose when you get here. Suitable for caravans, motor homes, tents. Lots of options! The kids will love playing in the Shoalhaven River (1km from property) where the rocks are ever changing as they are washed downstream. Wyanbene Caves are approx 6.5km away. Whilst you can enter the start of the cave, a permit is required for real cave exploration. We are centrally located being 90km from Cooma (partially dirt), 140km from Canberra and 100km from the coast at Batemans Bay. The closes town of Braidwood is 45km away. It boasts an IGA, fuel, coffee shops, boutique stores and lots more. We are at an elevation of between 700-800m so it can be quite chilly at night. Never mind, a sit round the fire pit will warm you up before bed. BYO firewood. There's plenty of kindling you can collect yourself in close proximity to camp areas. Being in the country, there are some creatures about that you may not want to encounter but need to be aware of. Snakes - black, brown, tiger, death adder. Keep your eyes open and wear boots or covered shoes. Not often seen in open paddocks. Hibernate during winter. Feral: Pigs, Dogs, Deer, Rabbits, Foxes (mostly unseen but leave their evidence around) Whilst you may bring your pets with you, they must be kept on leash at all times as neighbouring properties run livestock. There is 2km of good dirt road once you leave the sealed (but potholed at time of writing) Cooma Rd. You will need to cross the Shoalhaven River over a concrete causeway that is mostly dry. However, after heavy rain, the causeway can become flooded and impassable. Whilst this can be a little unpredictable for booking in advance, a full refund will be provided should your booking require cancellation due to flooding. Please bring your own potable water and your own toilet. Camp sites are continually being improved so please check out new campsites and facilities if you are rebooking for a future stay.

Bush camping on 100 acres in the Tinderry Range at about 1400 metres altitude. Seclusion and adventure all within an hour of Canberra and twenty minutes from Michelago and the Monaro highway. Big skies and dark nights for star-gazing are likely; or perhaps you'll be nestled in cloud; or hidden by falling snow. There are numerous tracks with spectacular views around the property for bush walking or mountain bike riding. The tracks are surrounded by sub-alpine flora and fauna (such as wallaby's, wombats, lyrebirds) and nearby in the Tinderry Nature Reserve. Tinderry Range is a rugged range east of the Monaro highway accessed mostly through Michelago or an hour and a half from Braidwood (when dirt roads are reasonable). The range is only around 70km away from the coast, thus enabling a sea mist to often roll over us in the late afternoon. Summer temperatures are a pleasant 6 degrees or so cooler than nearby Canberra. You may choose between a number of options for camping depending on your camping desires and set up. There are numerous tracks around our property or nearby Tinderry Nature Reserve. You may go exploring to find the springs or choose to stick to easy walking tracks that follow the contours. We will provide a map. Tracks are also great for mountain bike riding and exploring the unusual mix of sub-alpine, montane and coastal flora and fauna. There is numerous species of bird life and regular calls from lyre birds. This area has fascinating history with the largest eucalyptus distillery in Australia until the late 1950's and very popular with a number of bushrangers such as the Clarke Brothers who had numerous hideouts. No amenities. BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. Campfires (except on fire ban days or when we advise otherwise) are okay--usually recommended. Normally dry firewood is easy to find, or purchase some from us if you prefer. The exception is the bell tent glamping option,' Tin Can Ridge Glamping' which has a toilet included as well as firewood and shortly its own wood stove! Some campsites are best accessed by 4WD, or on foot. or gain access to the glamping tent with us escorting you. Camp lightly. No hunting. Do nothing illegal. Take all waste with you. It boasts an IGA, fuel, coffee shops, boutique stores and lots more. We are at an elevation of between 700-800m so it can be quite chilly at night. Never mind, a sit round the fire pit will warm you up before bed. BYO firewood. There's plenty of kindling you can collect yourself in close proximity to camp areas. Being in the country, there are some creatures about that you may not want to encounter but need to be aware of. Snakes - black, brown, tiger, death adder. Keep your eyes open and wear boots or covered shoes. Not often seen in open paddocks. Hibernate during winter. Feral: Pigs, Dogs, Deer, Rabbits, Foxes (mostly unseen but leave their evidence around) Whilst you may bring your pets with you, they must be kept on leash at all times as neighbouring properties run livestock. There is 2km of good dirt road once you leave the sealed (but potholed at time of writing) Cooma Rd. You will need to cross the Shoalhaven River over a concrete causeway that is mostly dry. However, after heavy rain, the causeway can become flooded and impassable. Whilst this can be a little unpredictable for booking in advance, a full refund will be provided should your booking require cancellation due to flooding. Please bring your own potable water and your own toilet. Camp sites are continually being improved so please check out new campsites and facilities if you are rebooking for a future stay.

Bordering the Tallaganda National Park, this camping is set on 100 acres of rural land with a sense of remoteness with a sealed road access only 1 km away.This property is not farm. You will only share it with the wildlife that includes numerous kangaroos that come in from the National Park in the evening to feed. The principal camping place (The Park) is situated next the park boundary and provides space for two tents or a tent and camper trailer. The rest of the camping is on “The Range”. This is a working farm approx 70% cleared remainder bush. Sub Alpine so the temperature can change quickly and snow, the area has quite a verity of bird and animals. There are currently 5 paddocks available no set campsites you pick your own site near mountain stream or in the bush also available is a self-contained cottage (view our separate listing for Calabash Manager's Cottage). This has 4 bedrooms bathroom, 3 rooms have queen size and 1 has a single, kitchen, heating when required is a slow combustion wood stove very relaxing. There are no amenities for campers, please BYO and leave no trace. There is plenty of branches and wood on the ground for a fire but please no fires when fire bans in place. Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions. No set areas for camping - choose when you get here. Suitable for caravans, motor homes, tents. Lots of options! No mobile phone reception if you walk around the paddock you may get a signal, If you need to contact us once you have a booking, contact us via email or landline. 100 acres with a mix of cleared and native bushland, including native wildflowers in season, near the head of the Shoalhaven River. Come and enjoy our property. Bring your swag, tent, camper trailer or caravan. Set up, relax, enjoy the natural environment and wildlife as you let the world go by. See eagles soaring above, echidnas, rosella and lots of kangaroos. Or, for the more adventurous, explore the nearby area and take a walk to the Big Hole and the Marble Arch. The kids will love playing in the Shoalhaven River (1km from property) where the rocks are ever changing as they are washed downstream. Wyanbene Caves are approx 6.5km away. Whilst you can enter the start of the cave, a permit is required for real cave exploration. We are centrally located being 90km from Cooma (partially dirt), 140km from Canberra and 100km from the coast at Batemans Bay. The closes town of Braidwood is 45km away. It boasts an IGA, fuel, coffee shops, boutique stores and lots more. We are at an elevation of between 700-800m so it can be quite chilly at night. Never mind, a sit round the fire pit will warm you up before bed. BYO firewood. There's plenty of kindling you can collect yourself in close proximity to camp areas. Being in the country, there are some creatures about that you may not want to encounter but need to be aware of. Snakes - black, brown, tiger, death adder. Keep your eyes open and wear boots or covered shoes. Not often seen in open paddocks. Hibernate during winter. Feral: Pigs, Dogs, Deer, Rabbits, Foxes (mostly unseen but leave their evidence around) Whilst you may bring your pets with you, they must be kept on leash at all times as neighbouring properties run livestock. There is 2km of good dirt road once you leave the sealed (but potholed at time of writing) Cooma Rd. You will need to cross the Shoalhaven River over a concrete causeway that is mostly dry. However, after heavy rain, the causeway can become flooded and impassable. Whilst this can be a little unpredictable for booking in advance, a full refund will be provided should your booking require cancellation due to flooding. Please bring your own potable water and your own toilet. Camp sites are continually being improved so please check out new campsites and facilities if you are rebooking for a future stay.

We had an incredible stay at this remote private campsite. The journey in requires a 4x4, but that only adds to the sense of adventure — and the reward at the end is absolutely worth it. The property is stunning, and the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing firewood and a great fire pit setup that made our nights around the fire really special. The campsite itself sits in a peaceful meadow bordered by a small creek, and it honestly feels like your own piece of wilderness. The creek is something truly special — crystal-clear water with beautiful swimming holes that are perfect for cooling off or just relaxing and taking in the scenery. It was one of the highlights of our stay. If you’re looking for privacy, natural beauty, and a host who genuinely cares about your experience, this place is unbeatable. This was our second time staying at Jarabin - it’s one of our family’s favourite HipCamps. The property is beautiful and quiet, and we ordered the BBQ pack again which was brilliant. Instructions to access the property are very clear and easy to follow. Although the weekend ended pretty wet, the weather held out long enough for a post-dinner swim in the river with the sunset in the background. Pretty close to perfection!

It was a stunning location. It had one of the clearest rivers I have ever seen. We felt completely secluded in our own private oasis. The kids loved waking up to the sound of the cows mooing on our doorstep. There was plenty of wildlife to view and plenty of space to explore. Anthony gave great direction and also met us at the gate to guide us to the camp-site. He was a great host and even provided plenty of fire wood.

Very well kept campsite and gorgeous property. Lynton was a great host, helped us find our way, provided us with an abundance of firewood and then let us do our own thing. It felt moderately private but definitely not as secluded as I hoped for. I would go again if not just to see the abundance of animals and native wildlife that surrounds the property.

On arrival we were greeted by our host Peter who was a happy friendly man and a terrific host. He escorted us to 2 sites adjacent a lovely babbling creek. Once selected, he quickly whizzed the mower around and we had a freshly mown level site for our pop-top caravan. We enjoyed our 8 night’s, sitting by the creek listening to the sound of nature. Loved having the cattle and potty calves around. Really nice landscape. We enjoyed chatting with Peter about his property and plans. We also met his wife Anya and their kids.
