Just stayed for one night, but want an awesome property.
I had the place to myself , but there were a number of site options for me. I took “The Ridge” as it gave the most amazing view.
Craig and Liz were great hosts, getting me in the correct driveway, showing me the amenities, and taking me down the property to the sites.
The Valley views were amazing and the stars at night were so clear. I was fortunate ate to have such a clear night.
Check was fine as I used the amenities after I packed up, and Craig and Liz came to check if all was good.
Amazing property and awesome hosts. Highly reccomend

Craig and Liz were so accommodating! They arranged to meet us at the front gate and guide us to our site. We arrived many hours later than planned thanks to cranky kids and it was no problem for them to accommodate us. They were super welcoming and recommended the best site to suit our needs.
It was the perfect quick stop on our roadtrip. I only wish we had arrived on time to have a little more time for relaxing in the beautiful location.

Don't know why people complain, it's a typical farm with a beautiful view, reasonable amenities like toilet and shower, if you want fancy go stay at a hotel, camping isn't for you.
the host Craig was an absolute Gentleman, stressed if there's anything I need at all to just ask no matter how late or early, feel free to knock on the door to the main house and ask.
Will be likely staying on my way back south, no complaints at all! Thanks for your hospitality Craig!

We loved camping at Mountain View Retreat. The views were clear and the night sky is a sight to see. There are multiple sites to choose from and it was an experience to be around farm animals.

Craig and Liz were extremely pleasant to deal with and have a beautiful farm overlooking the mountains. The facilities were clean and the camping spots were spaced out far enough to allow a good amount of privacy.

Great spot with a few sites. Craig and Liz were friendly and showed me round the property and facilities.

Unbelievable setting on the edge of civilisation with the most incredible views of the state forest and national park. Plenty of livestock grazing nearby.
The natural landscape means that all campsites are clearly visible to each other and with the facilities it’s definitely more unpowered campsite than wild camping but it’s a breathtaking spot nonetheless.

Just, WOW stunning property, insane mountain views, the privacy, the cows it was all magical highly recommended! I suggest bringing shade cover as trees are limited and belong to the cows (rightfully so) but it was awesome would definitely come back 😊

We loved our stay here! Amazing host, with sufficient communication regarding fire ban and other notices. A nice shared common area with shower and toilet and some kitchen amenities. A large and beautiful area! We took 4 dogs and there were 8 of us! It was indeed a lot of fun, definitely recommend!

The Valley
Beautiful views, just camp facing north south because it’s pretty hectic when the sun rises. We are newbies to this camping gig. Had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the clear air to enjoy the Milky Way.

Good views from all sites. Amenities are good - a walk away from the sites. Craig was great in his communication in getting us to the right place first time and showing the sites available. Like all camping - the weather plays a factor - we had one heck of a stormy night and felt a bit exposed on the open sites.

Penny's Ridge
The view is absolutely out of this world, you would not get this in any city. We loved the big open spaces and the fact that the campgrounds were so far spaced out from each other.
Craig and Liz were really lovely. Thank you for an amazing stay.

We had a great time at this campsite! The spot was super clean, and the grass was well taken care of, which made it feel really nice and comfortable. The views were incredible, such a beautiful place to camp. The facilities were also really helpful and made everything so much easier, which was awesome.
The host was really kind and quick to respond to any questions we had. When we had an issue with our car, he didn’t hesitate to offer help and went out of his way to make sure we were okay. He even offered us a free extra night if the car kept causing problems. We really appreciated his generosity and how welcoming he was. Definitely recommend this spot!

Fantastic campsite only 10 minutes from Tumut with fantastic views. Very peaceful and Craig was a fantastic host helped us pick out the best position for our set up. Would highly recommended.

This was a perfect way to spend a New Year’s eve in perfect solitude. The views are amazing and the sunset over the hills was the perfect way to spend the end of 2024. The dogs were amused by the cows in the neighbouring paddock and loved cooling off in the dam. Thank you for making your place available

Stayed a night at the Penny’s Ridge site. On our arrival the hosts were friendly, they showed us to our site and explained the use of the amenities available. The sites were well kept, the view was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

Beautiful Mt view, nice camp fire. My son met new friends, we had so great lonf weekend. Sleep better than at home. lol
We will like to visit again. Fee is reasonabls and the distance between campers.

Gorgeous views, good level of privacy to the campsites. Our dog had a ball, and so did we! Only a short drive to Tumut for the essentials but still felt like you were really 'away from it all'. Awesome stargazing when the sky is clear. Hosts are very friendly and have some great recommendations for things to do nearby.
