Enjoy one of our four large, beautiful sites with friends or family. The South, North and Rocks sites offer great privacy and seclusion. The Bridge site offers unique charm and close proximity to river, creek and bridge, and has the best WiFI access. Plenty of greenery between sites. You should mostly only see neighbors when going to bathhouse. On our property you will find, four large camp sites, Stoney Creek Country Store on the river, Pavillion next to the store, Cacapon River Outfitters behind the store, smallground campground next to pavillion, giant swing, bathhouse closest to riverside/campground, and a few (5) other trailers (mobile homes) further behind the store/bathhouse. The dead-end road that goes through our property leads to another riverside community that is sparsely developed. Kayak, boat or tube (we offer Tubing and Canoes). Fish or watch wildlife. Riverfront, incredible views, seclusion, privacy, easy river access, balance of shade and sun, PRIVATE hot shower and flush toilet, tons of parking, store within a walk.. * spacious secluded waterfront site suitable for larger groups on the Cacapon River surrounded by woody areas on 3 sides and mountain on the other side of the river. Groups up to 40 people have stayed on site so far. Camping area is about 125x60 feet, plus more away from water depending on how many cars you bring, with space for overflow cars within a walk. Site is a great value for larger groups. * deep and shallow spots for fishing and kayaking (this downstream site has wider river and calmer waters)  * this site is great for multi-family groups with kids, the waterline is mostly calm and shallow by the shore,  you can easily see your kids due to low shorelines, and you can also walk to the bridge 1/8 of a mile and "tube" through the rapids back to the site. Fun that can last for hours. * put in upstream for trips ranging from 1h to whole day and camp along the river * Stoney Creek Country store and playground is within walking distance along community road for your basic needs plus pizza, milkshakes, subs, ice creams.. and home of the "best cheese steak you ever had" * Overall, on our property you will find: Stoney Creek Country Store at the entrance, pavilion next to the store, Cacapon River Outfitters behind the store, small playground, giant swing, bathhouse closest to riverside/campground, four large multi-family/group sites along the river and a few (5) other trailers (mobile homes) further behind the store/bathhouse, one-two porta-potties depending on season. The dead-end road that goes through our property leads to another riverside community that is sparsely developed. The community put up a bunch of no trespassing signs and "end of trail" signs to keep the curious out. * you can burn any driftwood you find (plenty!), but no cutting of trees/vegetation allowed * this site is suitable for RV/dry camping, you'll need to get a little creative with finding a level spot, and be relatively good (but not an ace) with your trailer/RV. * Please review Stoney Creek Campground Page for available nearby attractions. * "Private" to site bathrooms. You will be issued a pin code. Two rolls of TP and a roll of paper towels will be provided. The bathroom/shower will be cleaned prior to your arrival. * it doesn't get much better than this for group campers.. Riverfront, easy river access, incredible views, private bath/hot shower, balance of shade and sun, store within a walk.. This Bridge site has a great view of the bridge and river bend. It's the least flood prone site, due to higher elevation, but it's most prone to flood damage as it gets overrun by both river the the creek every year. Site also borders Stoney Creek, which means you'll be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the creek AND the river This site is less secluded than our North, Rock and South sites, as it will border river access for kayakers, and within view of our community (dead-end) road and community of a few mobile homes (including the bathhouse) behind it. You may also likely hear an occasional car or bike cross the bridge, but traffic dies down pretty close to nothing after dark. We did build an earth berm, and enclosed it with tree trunks to shore site borders, and to allow you to place tents along for additional privacy. Currently it's probably not the best site for RVs or campers, as driveway ends about 100ft from the water. The site is entirely in front or rapids. That means that the river is shallow. It's good for kids exploring, but you'd have to go upstream to the bridge for a swim hole, which isn't that much different from the South site. It also means you'll be close to pacifying river/rapids sounds, which many campers seem to enjoy.

Reserve the whole campground for your event. 800ft+ of riverfront. Enjoy some of the best access available on the Cacapon (rocky flat and clear vs muddy and steep). Plenty of swimming, wading and fishing opportunities along the shoreline. Easily monitor your kids in the water. Tubing and boats available and some light rapids are running along shoreline for endless tubing fun, or explore the river up and down in a boat for up to a mile each way. Around 3 acres of riverfront camping space for tents and cars and trees in between, and we can reserve 24x40 pavilion by the store for your group. The Stoney Creek Country store provides various camping essentials, plus hot food and milkshakes. Playground is available by the store as well. Includes dedicated access to 5 toilets/showers (full bathrooms). Check out individual site listings for details of each site.  Pets are allowed on leash. Campfires are allowed. -8 8 ft picnic tables -4 firepits available -Access to potable water, kitchen sink, and wifi We normally allow up to 35 campers per site.. Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge
Hidden Gem! The site we were at was so pretty, lots of room while also being secluded. The scenery was gorgeous and had easy access down to the river which was also a site to see! Would stay again in the future. The store also had the most amazing italian sub we've ever eaten, and lots of essentials if you needed it!

Almost Heaven Riverfront Rocks
We stayed for a long weekend at the “Rocks” site. Plenty of space for 6 tents to accommodate our group- with space left over for our cooking supplies. The cooking grate swung over the firepit, which was convenient when we needed more space for firewood. The river was easily accessible for all ages- make sure you bring water shoes with non-slip bottoms. The host was pleasant and accommodating, and allowed us our privacy. There was plenty of wooded space between our site and the others. The shower house was convenient and accessible. We brought our own camping toilets and privacy tents- highly recommend for the comfort of the ladies in the group. We utilized those in the evening/night especially. We explored the Paw Paw tunnel and Berkeley Springs during the day and returned for lunch and swimming in the afternoon. Overall it was an enjoyable experience!

Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge
We had a great time here. Between the river, the playground, and the creek, the kids and adults really enjoyed the stay. The Bridge site was good for us. It was close to the playground, bathrooms, and store. The site is big, but there weren't a lot of flat places on the site. We l but we did get two tents up in fairly level ground. There was lots of natural spots and everyone loved seeing all the animals. We saw lots of fish, a frog, a turtle, a salamander, lots of lizards, and one water snake. It was great for the kids to see it all and the adults loved it, too. The biggest con was that the river was low, making the tubing trip kind of a bust (not the camp grounds fault, but something to consider). The rooster made us a bit crazy cause it went off all day.

Almost Heaven Riverfront North
Beautiful site right on the creek. Great for bird watching - had a bald eagle visiting us all weekend. Plenty of space for parking and tents. Firering with a grill, plus two picnic tables, is nice for cooking dinner. The private bathrooms with showers are a nice touch and make it comfortable. Overall, a great campsite and would definitely like to return in the future!

The campsite was clean and our group had a wonderful time, despite the rains forecasted. Bathroom was nice and running water is always a plus! Highly recommend this site to everyone looking to have a great time camping!

Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge
This spot along the river was perfect for our group of 10. The site was well-positioned, close to the river and bathhouse, and while it wasn't as secluded as some of the other sites on the property, it still offered plenty of privacy. I noticed the listing mentions space for up to 20 people, but our group found it a bit tight with 7 tents and kitchen setups, so you may want to keep that in mind when planning. The host was very attentive throughout our stay. The bathrooms could use some updating, and the shower was quite small. The utility sink outside was great for washing dishes. There were a lot of bugs around, though none were biting. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot.

Our stay was at the "North" site, and we could not have had a more positive experience. We backed a 34ft travel trailer into this site, so no worries getting in. Site is right ON the river and the views are spectacular. Nothing but privacy and solitude. Andrey could not have more accommodating. Providing shuttle service up river to kayak, information about the local area, etc... Really nice spot, really nice people, not one negative thing at all.

Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge
We very much enjoyed our time at this property. The night time is peaceful with the frog and cicada sounds; you can see a full sky of stars. The bathroom is well maintained and left clean. We had a lot of fun playing on the ping-pong table under the lovely pavilion. Our favorite part had to be the sheer proximity to the river we had from our site, and we surely used it!

We were able to squeeze three travel trailer campers, a pop up and a camper van onto the south site with a group of 15 campers and 3 dogs. We all had a great time sitting in the water during the heat of the day! The store was great and the kids loved walking over to it. Overall it was a great weekend!

Andrey was incredibly pleasant and wonderful throughout our communication about our camping trip to Stoney Creek. Unfortunately, our tent camping group was unable to make the trip due to the heavy rain and weather conditions, but I wanted to be sure I left a review stating that we are very much looking forward to trying again soon! The host provided detailed information ahead of time, kept in close communication about the weather and changes to the campsite and river access, based on our interactions, it was clear they genuinely care about their guests and the experience they provide. It's a bummer we didn't get to see this site with our own eyes, but I would highly recommend booking with them, and I look forward to when we can make the trip! Thank you Andrey!

Almost Heaven Riverfront North
Rainy and somewhat unseasonably cold weekend, but the site itself is excellent. Beautiful river, great mix of trees and grass, clean bathhouse complete with warm showers, dry pavilion with a ping pong table and space to hang out, lots of dry firewood and local beer available at the camp store. Andrey's a friendly host and helped us have a great weekend. Would recommend and look forward to camping again in the future.

What a campsite! The site itself was stunning and very private. Perfect water access. Host provided all the information upfront, so we never had any questions. The store is awesome with everything you could need and everyone was beyond friendly. We will definitely be back!

We received very detailed instructions from Andrey which were so helpful in preparing for our trip and then he came by and introduced himself when we arrived. The property is beautiful and it looked like every site was equally as nice. We stayed on the South spot which was close to the bathhouse (maybe two minute walk) and right next to the Great Cacapon River. We had several cars, five large tents, one small tent, a large shade canopy and an enclosed shelter setup and we had plenty of room! Even though you can see the other sites, there is a generous amount of space between them. Would love to visit again!

Weekend Riverside Oasis!

Staying here was my first Hipcamp experience, and it certainly won't be my last! I went with a group of 6 with varying levels of comfort with the outdoors/camping, and all were happy! This site checked our main requirement, access to warm shower/flushable toilet, and had bonuses of a pavilion, nearby river, electricity in the bathroom, and a camp store. It was comforting to know that if we forgot anything or just didn't feel like cooking at the site, we could pop by the camp store. Andrey was kind. He popped by to greet us and give us tips on the area. He even let us put the kayak in off an unused site. There was a short stretch of calm water downstream from the campsite that made for a relaxing paddle/float after a long weekend of camping. Favs: - The sound of the next door rapids at the South campsite was a constant, peaceful white noise that everyone agreed helped them get great sleep and made everything extra relaxing. It was so nice we didn't even want music. - the bathhouse - as clean as a campsite bathhouse could be! Showers were hot - super welcome after 30-40 degree nights. Notes: - Service was definitely spotty for all, which we had been warned about, so we made do with getting wifi occasionally from the camp store and having some group walkie-talkies. Not a big deal! - There is a rooster on the property that loves to be heard lol. Consider bringing earplugs for sensitive sleepers.

Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge
Our group camped at the Bridge Site on a rainy and cold weekend but we HAD A BLAST despite the less than perfect weather. The campground itself is a beautiful drive up into the mountains, and you can tell Andrey really takes care of the property and sites. We had a whole day of fishing in the river and enough space to spread out and play some darts at our campsite. The pavillion with ping pong table was a welcome reprieve from the rain and the kids had blast challenging to adults to the game! We also enjoyed a trip to general store (a very short walk) where we got some delicious fries and one of the best milkshakes I have had in awhile. I will also add the individual bath houses with private access was one of the more innovative things I have seen at a Hipcamp site. Very convenient and and appreciated by this mother of a special needs child. Overall - if you are looking for easy, convenient car camping and the opportunity to mix and mingle with other campers/locals - this is a great spot to have an adventure. You are also super close to Berkeley Springs and Paw Paw, which make great day trips for anyone doing a longer campout. Looking forward to coming back on a sunnier weekend to do some tubing!

Loved camping on Andrey's land, very scenic, calming (river was close by) and everything we needed was just a short walk away. The store could not be more equipped. We forgot to bring ice and they had ice and firewood ready just in case we ran out. The bathhouses were clean and ready to go. Andrey came to check on us and let us know of activities that we could part take in during our stay. We would def come back here again. Thank you Andrey!

Our stay was great! Sites were far enough apart for privacy plus plenty of room to play a few rounds of bacci ball. Having the store right there on the camp ground was a huge convenience plus the private bathrooms were definitely a change of pace for us camping. Andrey came by and checked on us to make sure we were well accommodated. 10 minute drive from the Paw Paw tunnel trail. We'll definitely be coming back again.

Perfect Fall Campsite in WV

Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge
The Almost Heaven Bridge campsite at Stoney Creek Campground is definitely a winner - a beautiful misty morning over the the river bend. Andrey is a responsive host; we found the site as he described it and provided access info. Amenities were satisfying; a fire ring with turning grill filled all we needed for the night: campfire and cooking platform. Plenty of space with privacy. Bathroom assigned to our site/group exclusively, was clean and within comfortable reach even at night. Couldn’t beat the hot shower after a cool night! A convenient camp store with all the typical things one forgets for a camping weekend. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Very beautiful and clean campgrounds. The private bath house for each site was a nice perk. Be aware there is no cell service and the WiFi only works near the bath house

Autumn Camping at Stoney Creek

Second time staying at Stoney Creek Campground, this time at the north site and had a blast. Mid October was a great time to visit for a peaceful getaway and view the vibrant changes in foliage with the fall season. Our group had a great time at the north site, which was spacious and well maintained with a beautiful view of the river and excellent access to the water. We made use of the camp store for firewood and supplies which was operated by friendly staff. Additionally, the bathroom was well maintained and stocked upon our arrival. We’ll definitely be back again and look forward to our next visit to Stoney Creek Campground.
