My husband & I put a lot of blood sweat & tears into making this a place our kids would enjoy during our weekend vacations to Leavenworth. We love hiking & there are a ton of nearby hikes. Outdoor enthusiast will enjoy this glamp spot! Utilize the dry cabin equipped with two twin size beds, a pullout couch bed, a dining table with 4 chairs & extra seating. With plenty of space outdoors, feel free to pitch a tent or bring your RV for friends! It is a dry cabin meaning there is no running water. We have it powered with a solar panel which should give enough electricity to charge phones & lights as needed. There is also an outhouse with a compost bucket if you'd like to use that. The downside to this lovely parcel is it's on the opposite side of the train tracks, so there will be occasional noise. Maybe it adds to the uniqueness? Just keep that in mind as once in a blue moon, the train does stop so you may be stuck for a few minutes. Oh & those power lines sometimes make a crackling noise. Sometimes we notice it & other times we don't. Now that we got that out of the way, the pros are it's a great place to explore. There are a ton of nearby hikes. This spot is in between Stevens Pass & the famous Alps candy store, with each being about 15 mins away. There is a gas station/convenient store, a few diners, and a rest stop within 5 minutes. Historical Leavenworth is about 20 mins.
There is a spot for campfires, a small 2 burner propane stove & an ice chest for your convenience, but you will need to bring the propane.

Welcome to Scenic Cedars our campground in the small town of Scenic. It’s situated next to the Iron Goat Trailhead. We have two campsites for people to stay at and each has their own picnic tables. We plan on getting more amenities in the future and for now the toilets will be used at the trailhead which is a 2 minute walk. Parking can also be found there but there is also usually a spot open across old cascade highway in the gravel parking lot. If you like hiking this is the place to be. The Iron Goat Trail cuts through the property and has a ton of hiking for anyone. There’s a flat section for beginners or if you want to do switchbacks to the tunnels and lookout that’s also nearbye as well. If you like waterfalls Deception falls is also a good hike just a few minutes drive west on highway 2. Steven’s Pass is just under a 10 minutes drive east so if you like downhill biking that can be found there. I haven’t done it but across the highway are some nice hot springs you can hike up to. What a wonderful place to park our eurovan for 3 nights. Perfect weather. Gorgeous views. Such a nice luxury to have a sink, plenty of counter space, mini fridge, microwave, comfy chairs and a propane firepit. Lovely covered area with lights, fans...whatever you need. Porta potty was super clean with a nice hand washing sink inside the porta potty (didn't even know there was such a thing!) Private as the two RV spots are on the other side of the property. We loved our stay and plan to be back. Kim is a wonderful thoughtful host.

Beautiful campsite, and great hosts! The tiki torches, seating, tables and sandpit for the tent are a great touch. Felt like our own private riverside world! We will definitely be back :)

The site on this property sits high above Wenatchee in a very nice neighborhood with beautiful views of the valley. Union Hill cider is right down the road as well as a small, quaint winery or two. We really enjoyed this great spot.

We needed a good midpoint spot for an overnight, so unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful setting as much as we would have liked! Clear directions even arriving at night.
The space was very well maintained, with beautiful views and snuggled right up next to a vineyard. Port-o-potty access was a short-ish walk from the camping spots.

Amazing camping spot, Rod and Teresa were more than welcoming. The spot itself was very well kept and we had total privacy. Two sand pits for our tents was perfect with a nice sitting area. Will be coming back again next year!

What a gem of a place to camp! Absolutely incredible! The views are endless and the stars at night are incredible. My dog and I had a wonderful time. The host was very helpful when I was clumsy with the lock and quickly responded with helpful tips. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed my night tent camping in the Plain Valley, Michael and family were super helpful and the locals brewery is pretty sweet spot, you are a close drive to great hiking and beautiful lakes! Will look forward to another visit.

Beautiful site, amazing view from up on hill above river. Several houses above and below site but still very private. We arrived after dark and had difficulty finding site as last turn was a bit overgrown and we didn’t see the road.

Where to go
The Yakima Valley
South of Leavenworth, the Yakima Valley area offers around 300 days of sunshine per year, making it ideal for hiking and river rafting. This area is also home to over 100 wineries, as well as cultural attractions celebrating the arts and Yakama Nation traditions.
Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest
Spanning across the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains, this expansive national forest encompasses over 1.7 million acres, with six wilderness areas within its boundaries. While backpacking to remote areas is a popular way to explore the area, there are also plenty of developed campgrounds to choose from.
Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest
On the western side of the Cascades, extending from Mount Rainier National Park all the way up to the Canadian border, this massive national forest is popular throughout the year, attracting locals and out-of-state visitors alike. Expect fantastic skiing and winter sports opportunities in the winter months and excellent camping in the warmer season.

When to go
Leavenworth is at its most charming in the weeks leading up to Christmas, with a holiday market and light displays to mark the season. The yuletide cheer continues well into the new year, but with fewer crowds. If you want to go camping (or are planning on driving over the Cascade Mountains and don’t want to risk getting stuck in a winter blizzard), late spring to early fall make an ideal alternative, with pleasant (but never hot) temperatures.
