One of the best camping spots hands down, you are lucky if you are able to get a spot. Super clean, safe, private, and quiet. Next to the Skykomish river for easy access to swimming and beach life. Large area to park multiple vehicles. Beautiful large fire pits. Experience the taj mahal of outhouses. Thank you to the Thompson Family for sharing their land. Always an amazing experience.

Campsite 3 - Blue Jay
This spot is so magical! You're a few steps away from the river and it provides lovely background music. The campsites are very spacious, tidy, and offer a good deal of privacy from the other sites. This is also a perfect spot if you have dogs!

We enjoyed our time at The Landing so much, we already miss it! The views are spectacular and the campsites are so spacious and well-distanced from others that its nearly private. We barely saw anyone else while we were there, and the rushing of the river was great to sleep to and mostly drown out other human sound around you. We had our section of the river in front of our campsite to ourselves which felt like such a luxury and made the high cost of camping worth it for a special occasion trip. The property seems well cared for and is thoughtful in its amenities and stewardship of the land. Thanks for a great time, we will be back!

Campsite 1 - Boulder Beach
My dogs and I loved this place. Campsite 1 is beautiful and has everything including a bit of room to throw the ball for the dogs, space to car camp, camp at the actual site, or you could put your tent on the beach. The neighbor across the river from site 1 does have dogs that bark anytime they’d see my dogs, so I felt like I couldn’t spend as much time down there as to not cause a disturbance, but perfect nonetheless.

The land is beautiful, and it feels somewhat separate from the surrounding campsites. Riverside view is unbeatable, gorgeous. Campsite had a nice large table and fire pit area (though there’s a current burn ban so only propane stoves).
My only complaint was that the train on the railroad tracks were a bit loud at night. I am a very light sleeper, though, but if you bring your plugs, it might not be so loud.

This is the most incredible campsite! We have been there twice this summer and it will definitely be a yearly thing. Our family booked the sites on either side of us and we had a blast. My brother-in-law who is an avid camper, said that this was one of the most incredible sites he has ever been to. The river is amazing and so clear. It was so refreshing and the perfect temperature! we even saw some fish. I will mention that the beach has a sandy area which is great for little kids, but the rocky area can be a little tricky to maneuver. If you have littles, the campsite is always clean and the outhouse is great! It is easy to find. We also saw some shooting stars at night! 10/10 would highly recommend this site.

Such a beautiful campsite. Great access to the sandy portion of the beach. The river is calm enough to float and relax or swim. Stunning views of Mount Index. The flowing river made sleeping very peaceful and drowned out any chance of noise. Private campsites surrounded with trees. We never saw anyone else unless they were also in the water. Highly recommend and will be coming back annually!

This was our first Hip Camp and it was an excellent experience from beginning to end! Speedy response from David when we made the reservation. Clear directions to the property. Each large, private, site has its own CLEAN, lighted outhouse, GIANT picnic table, fire pit with grill, and two plastic chairs. GORGEOUS mountain views, right on the river. I only had access to descriptions of three of the six sites, so I don't know if all the sites accommodate up to eight people. If so, it's pretty expensive for just two people to camp since all the sites seem to be the same price regardless of # of people.
We got to meet David while we were there. VERY nice.

This is a huge, very private and beautiful camp site! With a huge beach that has rocks and sand. It was lovely. And a perfect camping weekend. Having a private outhouse was also a bonus. We either missed it, or it wasn’t specified that there is not a water spigot on site so that’s helpful to know. Otherwise it was a fantastic place and we would come again!

Campsite 1 - Boulder Beach
We had an amazing time at Campsite #1! Super spacious and secluded from the other campsites. It has a huge firepit and table. It feels like you have a private area of the skykomish river all to yourself. Beautifully kept, the outhouse was very clean too. One night was not enough, we definitely want to go back!

This spot was incredible! The view was amazing and the direct access to the river from site 4 was easy. The river had ample shallow areas to waddle in and some deeper areas if you wanted to cool off and swim around.
The site was huge and we were able to fit three tents across the space and it felt like our own mini campground.
David takes great care of his land and it’s obvious with the amenities. The site came with a pristine outhouse, a massive picnic table and fire pit with an adjustable grate to rest cooking pots or coffee over. The Landing is close to other general goods store in case you forget anything.
We will be saving this spot for future visits!

David had great communication throughout the process and the site was amazing. We ended up not being able to stay the night due to an unrelated medical issue so ended up packing up our gear and leaving, but the dinner we had was great and I was able to climb around the big boulder in the river.
It was a little buggy, but that's camping...

Overall, this site definitely met expectations and easy to find. The site was large, quiet, had clean outhouse and gorgeous views.
We had several times where people would walk through our site and were confused how to get to the river.
Unfortunately, our party left 2 days earlier than we would have liked because people at the property directly across the river were shooting off fireworks during our 4th of July weekend. The fireworks were loud, obnoxious and stressed out our dogs and members of our party. We specifically booked our site for peace and quiet and were surprised that this area allows fireworks.
Would definitely book the site again in the future if available but just not during 4th of July time for us.

Great place to get away from the city for the weekend! The campsites in this area are quite large and private. Our campsite had at least three tent areas. The grounds and private outhouse were well maintained and clean. Our campsite (4) was divided by the road which was a little confusing when we first got there. One side has a tent site with the outhouse and the other side is next to the river with a picnic table, fire pit and two other tent sites. There is also a small pathway to the river and a great view of Mt Index. We ended up visiting the Espresso Chalet for breakfast one morning. David was very helpful providing clear directions and quick to respond to our questions. We will be returning in the future. Highly recommend!

The Landing is our most favorite place to camp. We go every year and have the best time, life long memories are made. It is beautiful, peaceful and so well cared for. So thankful David shares his beautiful land for us to camp at. Thank you!

This is the nicest campsite we have ever stayed at! We were in campsite #5 and it was perfect. The campsite was very large and private, and had easy access to the river beach. The outhouse was very tidy/private and well stocked. The tent area was large and sandy. We plan on coming back every summer! The only improvement I can think of is having water and/or garbage services
