The Little Cabin in the Woods

Totally private, the property sits on a acre surrounded by undeveloped forest. Huge old century-old cedar stumps litter the surrounding woods and you'll see where loggers in the early 1900's cut into the sides to place their springboards. The trees surrounding the property today are mostly fir and alder.
The 16'x20' cabin sits tucked back against the forest, looking out with territorial forest and mountain views of the Cascades. Outside you'll find a firepit with chairs and a picnic table for your enjoyment. Off to the side you'll also find our tidy and clean-smelling outhouse.
Inside the cabin you'll be surprised at the roominess and open feel given the cabin's dimensions. A counter with sink hides all of your plates, utensils, pots and pans. An L-shaped dining nook seats 3-4 comfortably. Across the room you'll find wonderful wood-stove for those chilly nights, and a pull-out sofa to relax on. A wide ladder leads up to the sleeping loft where you'll find a double -sized (full) futon bed tucked under the window looking out toward the mountains.
Given the cabin's size, it is best-suited for couples - though it is possible to sleep 4 with the pull-out sofa. There is a nice flat tent-site at the cabin as well. Maximum occupancy is 4 guests at the property at any time.
Please note, this is an OFF-GRID cabin with NO ELECTRICITY or RUNNING WATER. You're welcome to bring a portable generator to plug into our lighting system. In the Spring/Summer we have a rain barrel that may provide limited water to the sink for washing only, NOT for drinking.

Rent the Bunkhouse (*bring your own sleeping bag/bedding) two separate rooms included with the "site" reservation. The rooms are not connected and are 20ft apart, not ideal for toddlers.

Remodeled 1940's orchard workers’ cabin done in romantic cabin decor. The large deck has views to Mt. Clemen, a porch swing, table , chairs, umbrella, kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, water kettle, toaster, and hot/cold drinking water. A new patio features fire pit/box. New Sanican is attached to cabin and includes outdoor hot/cold shower. Complex includes four view acres, surrounding gardens, and is nestled in a patch of forest. Close to many outdoor and cultural activities.
The cabin is close to many trails, ATV trails, fishing, hiking, and rock climbing areas. The rural roads here are seldom traveled, mostly by farm and orchard tractors and vehicles, farmer's pickups and bicycles. Houses are widely spread, few are closer than a half block. There are many empty fields and parking can happen almost anywhere. There are several places to park next to the cabin, even for larger RV's. There is no public transportation out here. Ordinary road map directions for getting here are very simple and straightforward. When you arrive at the property, just pull into the curving drive. You will see the cabin by itself to the left. Just park in front.
Tieton is a rare place. The once dying town was re-discovered in the first decade of the new century by a couple friends on a mountain biking exploration. They got a vicious Goat's Head thorn in a tire and had to stop. They looked around at empty warehouses and closed stores and asked about it. The many small orchardists had been selling off their orchards to larger orchards and retiring. They saw opportunities in the empty buildings and had a vision.
Artists, writers, poets, thinkers from all over the northwest have been visiting and moving here over the last 14 years, making this a unique town, with two hispanic restaurants, a gourmet restaurant, two convenience stores and a bakery. The town is thriving from grants for the local central park and from the activities now of two art galleries and many seasonal events. Check out Mighty Tieton .com. Mt. Cozy dry cabin across the tracks

My husband & I put a lot of blood sweat & tears into making this a place our kids would enjoy during our weekend vacations to Leavenworth. We love hiking & there are a ton of nearby hikes. Despite it being located on the other side of the train tracks, we always seem to have a good time. We hope you enjoy it too!Learn more about this land:Outdoor enthusiast will enjoy this glamp spot! Utilize the dry cabin equipped with two twin size beds, a pullout couch bed, a dining table with 4 chairs & extra seating. With plenty of space outdoors, feel free to pitch a tent or bring your RV for friends! It is a dry cabin meaning there is no running water. We have it powered with a solar panel which should give enough electricity to charge phones & lights as needed. There is also an outhouse with a compost bucket if you'd like to use that. The downside to this lovely parcel is it's on the opposite side of the train tracks, so there will be occasional noise. Maybe it adds to the uniqueness? Just keep that in mind as once in a blue moon, the train does stop so you may be stuck for a few minutes. Oh & those power lines sometimes make a crackling noise. Sometimes we notice it & other times we don't. Now that we got that out of the way, the pros are it's a great place to explore. There are a ton of nearby hikes. This spot is in between Stevens Pass & the famous Alps candy store, with each being about 15 mins away. There is a gas station/convenient store, a few diners, and a rest stop within 5 minutes. Historical Leavenworth is about 20 mins. There is a spot for campfires, a small 2 burner propane stove & an ice chest for your convenience, but you will need to bring the propane.

This small cabin is a perfect place for the outdoor adventurers to spend their days enjoying what the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Located in upper Timberline Village three miles East of Packwood. The cabin is set in a small cul-d-sac on a quiet wooded lot. It is approximately 5 miles from Mount Rainier National Park and 15 miles from White Pass skiing. The neighborhood is surrounded by Gifford Pinchot National Forest with many hiking trails nearby. The property is at 1500 feet elevation.
Enjoy Mount Rainier all year round! This cabin is a great place to getaway and stay after a day of skiing and exploring the outdoors. Although small, it sleeps four comfortably and has all the amenities for your stay. Wi-Fi, TV with free Netflix, AC.
Please note, there are three steps leading to the porch entrance of the cabin. Inside, there is a steep set of stairs leading to the bedrooms. Due to the steep stairs, we caution all guest with small children to provide close supervision.
One bedroom is private with a queen bed. The other bedroom is in a loft type setting where it is open to the stairway and not considered private. The bathroom is located downstairs next to the kitchen.
The cabin is equipped with ductless heating and cooling AC for all season comfort.
Guests have access to the entire place. There is one locked closet under the stairs.
There is a motion activated floodlight camera on the corner of the house pointing down the driveway. It's for your protection as well as ours when the property sits vacant.

Situated in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, the town of Cle Elum (and the surrounding Cle Elum Ranger District) offers easy access to year-round recreation in the Cascade Mountains, with pretty alpine lakes for summer boating and paddling and miles of motorized and non-motorized trails. While camping is popular in the summertime, the weather can be on the chilly side, making renting a cabin a reliable option no matter the season. Two area cabin rentals are available through the US Forest Service: a larger seasonal option near Ellensburg (available from Memorial Day to Labor Day) and a smaller guard station that's open year-round. Demand for both cabins runs high, however, and you'll get more options and flexibility if you instead opt for one of the many privately owned and operated cabins in the surrounding area.
