While camping is popular in the summertime, the weather can be on the chilly side, making renting a cabin a reliable option no matter the season. Two area cabin rentals are available through the US Forest Service: a larger seasonal option near Ellensburg (available from Memorial Day to Labor Day) and a smaller guard station that's open year-round. Demand for both cabins runs high, however, and you'll get more options and flexibility if you instead opt for one of the many privately owned and operated cabins in the surrounding area.

My husband & I put a lot of blood sweat & tears into making this a place our kids would enjoy during our weekend vacations to Leavenworth. We love hiking & there are a ton of nearby hikes. Despite it being located on the other side of the train tracks, we always seem to have a good time. We hope you enjoy it too! Learn more about this land: Outdoor enthusiast will enjoy this glamp spot! Utilize the dry cabin equipped with two twin size beds, a pullout couch bed, a dining table with 4 chairs & extra seating. With plenty of space outdoors, feel free to pitch a tent or bring your RV for friends! It is a dry cabin meaning there is no running water. We have it powered with a solar panel which should give enough electricity to charge phones & lights as needed. There is also an outhouse with a compost bucket if you'd like to use that. The downside to this lovely parcel is it's on the opposite side of the train tracks, so there will be occasional noise. Maybe it adds to the uniqueness? Just keep that in mind as once in a blue moon, the train does stop so you may be stuck for a few minutes. Oh & those power lines sometimes make a crackling noise. Sometimes we notice it & other times we don't. Now that we got that out of the way, the pros are it's a great place to explore. There are a ton of nearby hikes. This spot is in between Stevens Pass & the famous Alps candy store, with each being about 15 mins away. There is a gas station/convenient store, a few diners, and a rest stop within 5 minutes. Historical Leavenworth is about 20 mins. There is a spot for campfires, a small 2 burner propane stove & an ice chest for your convenience, but you will need to bring the propane.
