Based on the specs, I wouldn’t have chosen this spot, but we were joining friends. We had a lovely time camping here. If you know what you’re getting into, this could be a perfectly fine place to camp.
The good: It’s beautiful. A short walk down the road led to private river access, which was stunning. We loved swimming there. The neighbors were friendly but generally left us alone. We were charmed by the resident goose who wandered over to visit. The electric hookup worked flawlessly. It’s easy enough to head into town if you need anything, but you’re still sleeping among the trees.
The bad: If you want privacy, look elsewhere. You’re on a small property surrounded by houses — and some of the neighboring properties are super sketchy. Just above the site is a road with plenty of traffic noise. Train horns are audible. The main road was closed for construction, so we had to drive an extra 20 minutes to get to the site with no warning from the host. There’s a hairpin turn and a steep hill to drive down that’s impossible if you’re coming in from the right. And there’s very little room to navigate if you’re backing in a camper — expert skill is needed. There is no potable water and no toilet. We missed the part about the 50 amp electric, so we had to run out to buy a converter.
All in all, we had a great time, but you should be clear-eyed about what to expect with this site.
It is a simple parking spot with an electrical hookup on private property. There is no access to the river, contrary to what the listing suggests, as the surrounding area consists entirely of private properties. We would choose a different spot next time.

My group couldnt even stay we ended up leaving. Tried several times to reach out to host, even today havent heard a thing from them. Horrible place, overgrown weeds, no where to set up tents. Totally inaccurate description on website.
Beautiful spot! And in a convenient location. And very friendly neighbors! I got a flat tire and someone even helped me patch it! I definitely recommend this spot.
I loved my stay at Tiara's place! It's in a beautiful and convenient spot, right off Ben Howard road and right next to the Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Park. Tiara was super communicative, flexible, and accommodating, even when I didn't have power (thanks to a transformer having blown). I would definitely stay at Tiara's place again!
Campground is a generous term - this is someone's front yard. The place is not marked, if it wasn't for the RV parked in the corner (assume the owner's) we wouldn't have guessed this was the spot given it's on a lawn in the middle of a residential street with houses all around. It looked like we were trespassing.
The spot seems nicely tucked away but was surprisingly loud and busy, with lots of traffic. There are no amenities as their website mentioned, but there is electrical for RV hookup. Since it's in a residential street you're also no where near a public bathroom. We were there in a mini van and slept in a tent, but even that we struggle to fine this lot big enough for 4 sites, especially for RVs. Perhaps this place is a good option for an RV, I'm sure the owners are lovely people but for the price you're better off finding a state campground.

This is a fun hideaway place to stay. My kids loved the hollow tree and space to play. Definitely, one of the coolest places we've stayed at and the host is a sweetheart.

The tree was cool and the site was clean and tidy and had electric and there was a fire pit.
This site would make a good base camp site for day trips, as it was a bit to loud for relaxing since the road was right behind the sites. Also, if you have a 5th wheel, watch your tailgate leaving the main road...it's a bit of a steep angle. Neighbors seem nice. Didn't get to meet Dennis but my friend meet Graham Quacker....the goose with a "foul mouth"! 🤣❤️
Site was clean and mostly flat. Power was available and in working order. The hollow tree is neat. There is a train nearby (a few horns during the day), but we never heard a train horn after 9pm. The site wasn't marked, but it was easy to figure out where to park based on site description on Hipcamp.
The site was not marked clearly and over grown when we got there. It was mowed while we were there but would have been nice upon arrival. It was quite but not really what we had expected. With some care and improvements this could truly be a hidden gem!

The best part was the ability to have a fire which is not possible at a state park. They had a great firepit. My son and I brought camping chairs which were more comfortable than the cool wooden benches, but for a larger crowd the benches would be great. Having electrical power was a big plus and the gravel surface made it easy to level the trailer. My son and I are dog lovers so we enjoyed the company of Dennis, the black dog who visit early and often, especially if there was food around. The location was pretty remote, but not without a reminder that we still live in a populated area, with the sound of an occasional train whistle and some traffic on Ben Howard Road behind the campsite. The drive in and out through quaint small farms was very pleasant. We had no trouble finding the site and felt very secure and safe.
