Pitch your tent and/or hang your hammock in a private spot along the forest trail or set back a ways. We have four designated sites and can accomodate more people as needed and as makes sense. The spacious layout allows for safe social distancing for public health reasons as well as greater privacy than at most state and commercial campgrounds. Car camping is possible at site 1. There is a short walk and incline up to site 4 from a parking spot. We have a four wheel pull cart available for moving gear further into the forest if needed.

This place is a wonderful place to use as a home base to explore the area or relax away from city life or another busy environment. People stay with us from many different parts of the United States and from around the World. Everyone is respectful of each other, the animals, the birds and the land.

"A magical forest" comments Ethan, 8 year old camp guest. The trail meanders through about 15 acres of private forest. This place is used by our family and only a few campers at a time. Our small farm also has 5 acres our residence, shop buildings and small barn with goats, sheep, turkeys, ducks, chickens, dogs, and cats. People of all ages seem to enjoy watching the animals and birds. Our fresh free-range chicken eggs are delicious!

Great star-gazing at night in the open field community fire ring. Site 1 has a private firepit. Our seasoned firewood makes it easy to have a fantastic campfire to enjoy. Bundles for sale so you don't have to worry about that detail and transport them here. :-)

A short walk to basic bathroom inside a fifth-wheel RV. This may be shared but it private for the user- one at a time. We have a second bathroom available as needed. We do our best to make a safe and clean area for everyone.

Beach access about 5-10 minutes drive. Chinook Tribal Office is at the end of Bay Center up near Bush County Park. Ekone Oysters and Seasonal Seafood Market offer local seafood are within 5-10 minutes. Small KOA camp store and local restaurant (Dock of the Bay Tavern and Restaurant) are about 5-10 minutes drive. Good people. No hassle. Local post office is up in town.

Bay Center, WA is 25-35 minutes from South Bend/Raymond which are the closest towns with markets, espresso cafe shop, gas, pharmacy, hospital, golf course, etc. From us, it is 35 minutes to Seaview, a southern part of Long Beach Peninsula depending on traffic. Astoria, Oregon is about 45 minutes away.

Enjoy this retreat for a short or long stay! Sometimes you are the only visitor and sometimes a few folks are here. This is not a large campground and we intentionally keep the number of guests and groups low.. :-) All welcome to stay just solo, two, or as a group. We would be honored to host you. We also welcome ideas and suggestions on how to improve the setup and the experience.

Camping with Paige and Hugh was a delight. We had three of us and a dog for the weekend and the site was a great fit for our two tents. There was a fire pit ready for use and wood ready for purchase if needed. There is an older RV with a bathroom and sink with running water for use. Paige was very welcoming and Hugh taught us how to chop wood with an Axe. Both very friendly and gave us a map/directions for local things to see during our weekend. Lots of farm animals and dogs if you’re an animal person. Forest area was very quiet and private. Would absolutely stay again.

Hugh and Paige were very welcoming and hospitable. He quickly provided a tour of the property and showed us where everything was. They shared some firewood, and offered us some fresh eggs in the morning. The site was clean and as expected. It’s perfect for tent or Eno camping. I would highly recommend their campsite to anyone!

Paige and Hue have a lot of property with very friendly animals! They were fantastic hosts and we enjoyed sitting by the campfire with them. We definitely saved this site for the future!

Paige was amazing, truly the sweetest host ever. My two young children cried as we left because they had so much fun on her and Hugh's farm feeding and running around with the gentle animals. Paige graciously answered all my six-year-old son's questions about farm life. We were going to stay in the Forest section (there are 3 or 4 sites) but with our Sprinter van we elected to stay in their field which for us was excellent. It was level, spacious, and let us "dry out" after several straight days of camping in the rain. We had the community fire pit at the far edge of our large site where we enjoyed some late night conversation with other campers. (The forest sites also have fire pits.) Unless you sleep in a hard top you will be awoken by roosters but it just adds to the experience! We had a very pleasant stay. We hope to be back the next time we visit Long Beach. Thank you, Paige!

Hugh and Paige are incredible kind hosts. We had a fantastic stay and felt well rested. It feels like a home away from home and we highly recommend their forest camping sites.

This place was amazing! Paige and Hugh were great hosts! They had amazing hospitality, I had forgotten to pack eggs and when I asked Paige if I could buy some she came out with eggs, butter, and tortilla (thanks again)! My friend and I also enjoyed a group bonfire where Hugh told some scary stories and entertained us throughout the night! Great site, Great People, we are definitely coming back!

Paige and Hugh were thoughtful and excellent hosts. Attentive but not overbearing. They welcomed our 4 year old and let her help a bit around the farm. They’ve selected sites around their property strategically so you feel in many ways that you are there alone until you meet the others at the community fire pit. We wish we could have joined in more of the conversations but with a sleeping 4 year old, we opted to stay close to the tent. Luckily we had a site with an approved fire pit so we were able to still enjoy an evening fire.

I had a wonderful stay at Bay Center Sacred Forest Camp. Paige and Hugh were friendly, welcoming, thoughtful, and generous hosts. There were multiple paths to explore in the forest, and even a few surprises tucked here and there. Socializing around the group campfire was a great way to end the day. I look forward to returning in the future.
