Description

Once the site of someone's home, Yates Place Camp is now dotted with inviting campsites and scenic trail hiking. Feel in your element with options to hunt or plain ol' explore—and be sure to bring water along with you 'cause there isn't any onsite. Regardless, we can assure you that you’ll be yearning to put a welcome mat outside your tent or cabin’s door!

I camped at Yates as part of the Uwharrie Thru-hike, a yearly event hosted by the Central Carolina Land Trust. It is beautiful, remote, and surrounded by tons of hiking and nature.
