This place was so amazing. So many cute animals and very friendly hosts. Barbera’s directions are super helpful getting there so make sure to pay attention to them. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting to camp in this area. Would also love to stay here again and have some more time to spend with the animals.
The farm is amazing. Very cute animals. Had a great camping experience even in the rain.
Kind-hearted couple and good-natured animals made for a fun and unusual stay! Lots of great history in the area as well. We really enjoyed our time.
Dwayne and Barbara were excellent and so hospitable. We had a wonderful experience staying on their property, and it was such a delight as we travelled cross-country from San Francisco to Philadelphia. The property was incredible, and the animals brightened our stay so much. Dwayne and Barbara went above and beyond to talk with us at multiple points throughout our time with them and made us feel so welcome there. Bringing out coffee to us in the morning was an excellent touch! Highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity to do so.
Very nice couple who own the property. Very helpful. Very close proximity to the animals. Our dog was very intimidated by the animals.
Probably a great place for a family with kids, not traveling w/ pets.
Food preparation is behind a fenced dog area.
Expect to wake up early, to a donkey or rooster.
Not our cup of tea.
I had such a great time at the Llama and Alpaca Ranch! Barbara and Dwayne were very welcoming and informative about their ranch and great conversationalists! Getting to hangout with the animals who were cuddly and sweet and getting to wake up with them surrounding my camp was amazing. I made friends with a goat named Ricky (?) who was just as excited to hang out with me as I was with him. I’ve told all my friends about this place and this is by far my favorite stop along the way to my final destination. ❤️

Our stay on Barbara and Dwayne's ranch was a great rural stay, but just minutes away from all the activities Casper has to offer. We were the only campers during our visit, and Dwayne helped us find a nice spot to setup camp! We had plenty of visits from the goats, as well as one of the mini donkeys, Angel made herself my shadow during the stay.
Barbara and Dwayne went above and beyond our expectations. The outhouse they have setup is clean, lit, and nothing to worry about. They even set us up with coffee, cream, and sugar the next morning to help us get underway on the next leg of our journey.
We absolutely will have to stop for a visit when we come back through Casper again!
We booked a night on our way to the Tetons and it was a great stop. My daughter loves animals and they had multiple free ranging, friendly animals on the property which made for a great way to start the day. The owners were friendly and brought coffee in the morning.
I’d definitely go back. The only downside is the Hipcamp google directions were wrong and we ended up in the middle of nowhere following Google maps. Correcting the error added 40 minutes to our drive time.
One of the first things you see when arriving at the gate for the ranch is a divisive Make America Great sign. That doesn’t make me feel safe as a minority regardless of the intention of the host. An open dialogue and conversation is one thing, for sure. We decided to drive home instead of camping at this location:
