This is a real gem. It is a little off the beaten path, elevation high enough to keep you cooler, well worth it, Especially if you are looking for trails to ride down. The address says Douglas WY, but you are in the absolutely beautiful hills behind Laramie peak in the trees keeping the wind at bay, This is a private full hookup site, only 1 site on the Hosts Property. which includes a clean private outbuilding with bath, and laundry (if you select this option)
The Host is very nice, engaging without intrusion.

Excellent spot to relax and just get away from the city. It was so dark, I felt like I was causing light pollution. Host was fantastic and very helpful. It was so quiet I could hear birds wings flapping. Highly recommended.

We loved camping at this spot. The area is very scenic among the trees, rolling hills and wildlife. We observed antelope, deer, and wild turkey. Even though it is close to their home our space felt private. The full hook up was much appreciated. Our host was very friendly and helpful. We recommend this place to others looking to camp in the area.

Whistle Stop RV Site
Very peaceful with trees everywhere, just as advertised. Sunset Ridge hiking trail with views of Laramie Peak, is just a few minutes away. Their house is pretty close by but we still felt that we had plenty of privacy. Very kind and helpful if you need anything tho! The 3 dogs are sweet and well-behaved.. Douglas, the closest town is 45 min away for groceries and gas, just FYI. We appreciated having our own bathroom/shower and laundry room right by our site! So clean and convenient! We were able to use their Starlink which worked out well when needed. We really enjoyed our 6 night stay!
