Where "neighbors" might live two hours away or just down the road. Where directions are given in "north and south" instead of "right and left". Life's a little slower, people a little more sincere and a handshake still means something! PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TENT CAMPING: I don't have any shower or bathroom facilities. The closest place I know of is the Conoco a mile north of my place on Cleveland St. They have a truck stop and I'm told the shower is nice. There is a chance I won't be on site to greet you, but so far everyone has been incredibly respectful and found some great places to put up a tent. I trust you!

If you're traveling I80, the Little Cabin is a great place to enjoy the sunset or just a peaceful night's sleep after enjoying the Snowy Range Scenic byway in the summer and a possible work around if the interstate is closed in the winter. If you're coming in from Denver/Ft Collins, Co area, Poudre Canyon is a beautiful drive and can take you thru Walden, Co or bring you in on Wyo 10. Feel free to reach out if you have questions on the routes, scenic stops, cut overs or short cuts. There is Hiking, Fishing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country skiing, Downhill skiing, (Snowy Range Ski Area) Hot Springs, Mountain Lakes, Plains Lakes, the Big Laramie River, all with in a 5-to-90-mile radius. There is public access, dogs allowed, to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs alongside it. Watching the wildlife is an experience of its own. From Chipmunks to deer, we see an assortment. If you enjoy birds and their sounds, you can pick a spot and enjoy. If you are a weather watcher, you may see 3-4 seasons in one day depending on the time of year. It's a great place to snuggle in, read a book, write a book, watch a downloaded movie or just sleep, but disconnect from the chaos and the alerts.

If it gets full, can also park in the back pasture area. Porta potties are located at the light green way point. Water hydrants are located at the Blue X waypoints. We do have honey bee hives on property, which are located with the Yellow X waypoint. You are more than welcome to view them if you would like, just please do not touch the hives or any of their watering frames which are black. We also have Chicken coops on property with 26 hens and 2 roosters which are located at the red waypoint with the bird. They do enjoy going up to people and eating out of hands. They might peck slightly when trying to eat though. The 2 roosters do protect their hens. Park vehicle in the blue highlighted area as to not have vehicle traffic in the grassed areas down the tree rows. Also, to not have someone accidentally run over a small tree. Please watch out for pink flags. Those markers are for smaller trees so they are easy to spot and not broken down by stepping on them. You are more than welcome to drive along the right side of the property just past the blue area to the back pasture area if you need to for unloading gear for the back wooded tent sites. Weekend Trip to Little Cabin with a view

Linda's cabin was exactly what we were looking for - a place to get off our phones, relax and have fun with our pup. I spent most of the daylight hours outside wrapped in a blanket on the Adirondack chairs with my furry buddy at my feet. The cabin is well equipped with a a heater, microwave, mini fridge and electric kettle. There is also a propane BBQ just outside the cabin which we didn't use this trip, but will keep in mind for future visits. Our pup, Petra, had so much fun and I felt very comfortable having her off leash while exploring the property. She loved the treats Linda left for her each day! We were very comfortable; it was the perfect getaway.

Really beautiful spot! The cabin is the perfect size and well built. Huge windows overlook the view. You can’t see any neighbors which was perfect for us. Propane firepit was fantastic and Chas was a wonderful host! Very comfortable place - we hope to go back!

Loved this cabin and this experience. It was my first time using Hipcamp so I was slightly concerned. Turns out this concern was for nothing! Chas was great, very helpful, availar and so nice. 10/10 highly recommend. Will definitely be back!!

Weekend Trip to Little Cabin with a view

The cabin was a perfect mountain get away! Linda was extremely helpful, offering detailed directions, fresh cookies and fresh coffee in the morning. The property and view was breathtaking, pictures just don’t do it justice. The drive out is gorgeous and you get right into the mountains and backcountry. Amazing getaway for some peace and star gazing!

1 night at The Last Resort

First thing’s first: Jana and Tim are the loveliest, most welcoming hosts. One of my favorite parts of this Hipcamp stay was sitting down with them and enjoying conversation over coffee in the morning before I left. They had great stories and helpful tips for exploring the area by bike, as well as a scenic detour (plus hot springs) as I headed toward my next destination. Beyond this, I had a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. I caught a beautiful sunset while riding along on the surrounding country roads, followed by a hot shower, and slept soundly under thousands of stars with the distant hum of cows. Had access to a super clean porto right at Camp. I chose a spot behind several rows of trees that Tim and Jana planted almost thirty years ago—the whole area felt private, yet expansive. Can’t recommend this camp, and these hosts enough!!

Our stay at Melissa’s Hipcamp site was incredible! The cabins were so nice and cozy, and the outdoor kitchen and shower were great. The property is beautiful and we were so happy we got to stay there on our road trip. I only wish we could have been there for longer!! We will definitely be coming back!

Alicia’s spot was perfect. We arrived pretty late as we were driving from across the state, and left in the middle of the night as well one night for some photo stuff. She didn’t mind either time, and the entire spot was so quiet and peaceful. It was close to their house, but the trees and how it was setup still gave us plenty of privacy through the duration of our stay and it was exactly as advertised

Jana and Tim were welcoming. They offered several options of where we could park and pointed out the best direction to see sunrise and sunset. My parents enjoyed having coffee and chatting with them in the morning.

Weekend Trip to The Last Resort

We Loved the dispersed camping experience with the Last Resort. A step back in time camping on a family farm.. BIG SKY.about 3 miles off the interstate 80. All we could hear was crickets.. sunrise and sunset was awesome and Jana and Tim were the warmest of hosts. Tim has a lot of vision for what the property could be and is currently renovating grain bins into cabins.. they have a community fire pit and ensured we had everything we needed. Un expectantly Tim had to help us energize our slide out as out battery went dead.. no problem!

We had such a great stay at the Blue Moon Cabin! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The view was gorgeous and the cabin was very private. We really enjoyed the outdoor lounge area with the fire table. The outdoor shower was really a fun experience too! Highly recommend!
