Japanese Cabin
The cabin is great - Loved it all. Rod is a gem. We were well taken care of. Choosing to go to Cody was totally spontaneous and it worked out to be a perfect spot to meet up - me coming from Washington, my sister from New York. Definitely plan to return - so much to do and see, the location is great.

Grand Farmhouse Southern Exposure R
The Grand Farmhouse exceeded my expectations! I stayed in a room in main house, very cozy. I definitely would try teepee camping next visit if I’m there when nights aren’t as cold. Sweet spot all around with amazing sunrise and sunset views.

Sheepherder's Wagon
The Sheepherder Life
Sleeping in the Sheepherder's Wagon was the adventure I was looking for! The sleep bunk was exactly cozy for 2 people sized 5'9 and 5'4. The slight dusty smell reminded me of my grandparent's old barn. We enjoyed the night sky full of stars and a short chorus of coyotes. The cowboy breakfast of coffee, cakes, & sausage was rib-busting. The vault toilets were clean and well stocked. Thanks Rod, Micky and Ricky!

Great views!
Campsite with beautiful views of both the sunrise and sunset. We really liked the amount of space and the covered eating area with plenty of tables and lights. Rod was not there but Ricky came to greet us and give us a quick tour, which we really appreciated. The hot showers were fantastic as well!Only note is that the ground has some stiff grass that can poke you in your tent. Bring a tarp to put under your tent!

Big Quiet Tent Camping
Exceeded expectations!
Fantastic hospitality. Gorgeous landscapes. Peaceful setting. Delicious sausage and pancake breakfast with potent cowboy coffee to fuel your day. Conveniently close to Cody, the Beartooth hwy and the east entrance to Yellowstone. Pitched our tent in a shaded area near the brook and had a very restful sleep. The outhouse was clean and smell-free. The shower had great pressure and delightfully hot water. Enjoyed our conversations with Micky and Rod as well as Ricky's company.

The perfect quiet retreat
Big Quiet Farm is a special place. It's a wonderful peaceful place to spend time and the perfect spot to watch the sun rise or the sun set over Heart Mountain. The cots in the teepee are super comfortable and it had good airflow even on a warm night. Rod is super friendly and his cowboy breakfasts are great! I also enjoyed reading in the hammocks with the sound of the creek in the background.

Big Quiet Tent Camping
Basic , but very very quiet
It would be helpful if there was done some mowing on several flat places for people who bring their own tent. Hygiene in toilet could be better. Mickey took good care for us, but we did not see the owner Rod at all during our stay.

Japanese Cabin
Gorgeous!
Truly is the big quiet! Gorgeous cabin overlooking the basin halfway between Cody and Powell. Rod was a spectacular host - sharing his deep knowledge of the local area, history, and reality of organic farming in WYO. Cabin was comfortable, bright, well equipped with wifi, a kitchen, hot and cold running water for amazing showers and baths, a SAUNA and a deck with rocking chair to soak in the view. Truly a special spot, thanks for the excellent hospitality, Rod. Until next time!

Site 2 - Small Cowboy Wall Tent
The wall tent was great! The pancakes are amazing. Usually pancakes give me heartburn, but not these. And they are very filling. Loved sitting around the communal fire pit every night, and meeting new people and everyone sharing what they did and saw throughout the day. It was like elk camp, minus the hunting part.

Daily Breakfast? Yes Please!!!
This place is awesome! The location is super cool but the highlight of staying here is the daily breakfast served by Rod and Mickey. These two guys are freaking hilarious, super friendly, and provided us with great recommendations of what to see while in Cody. And I have never had such delicious sausage like the one Rod cooked for us. Yum!!!

Big Quiet Tent Camping
A Relaxing Slice of Wyoming
We absolutely loved staying at Rod’s farm. It is bucolic and just surrounds you with the beauty of the land around you. At the same time, we loved that there were very clean showers and a pit toilet to use. Rod made us feel right at home, he is a gracious host, and prepared a wonderful breakfast each morning while giving us helpful tips to plan our adventures. His farm is so well located to enjoy Cody, Big Horn Canyon and so many other local sights. We will definitely plan to return!

We got lucky finding that Rod offers his spread to campers! Local wildlife included a glimpse of wild horses and field birds. The earlier-mentioned breakfast in sheltered grassy fields is plate-size pancakes and sausage from his farm.

Site 1 - Native American Teepees
The grass where the teepee is located needs to be cut. Inside the teepee the grass was as tall at the cot. Also the poles were not in the top flaps so the flaps were blowing against the teepee all night. Otherwise it was a great place.
