Located in the vast Bridger-Teton National Forest, we rest on the south shore of Fremont Lake facing the Wind River Mountain Range. A considerable body of water, Fremont Lake is Wyoming’s second-largest natural lake. Carved by a series of three glaciers, it is eleven miles long, and up to a mile wide with a maximum depth of more than 700 feet. An entirely granite formation, Fremont Lake holds some of the cleanest water in the country.
Having worked with the natural landscape and not against it, we have developed Lakeside Lodge Resort & Marina to respect and honor the very land that supports us. It is our pleasure to be your host as you experience this truly magical piece of the natural world.

Beautiful spot with an outlook down the valley.
Easy access to Yellowstone National Park, and only ~40mins drive from the Cody Rodeo.
Camped with a 1-man tent and basic air mattress, would probably suit someone a bit more equipped.
Sunrise was beautiful, and I’m sure sunset would have been too if I’d been at the site as it went dark.
Steep and rubbly driveway so maybe not best for low clearance 2WD vehicles.

We enjoyed staying at Palisades Retreat, the owners are knowledgeable, helpful and very kind. Their RV spaces are organized and their flowers make the sites cheery. We appreciated this location and its proximity to everything we wanted to explore. Highly recommend!

Beautiful site in a scenic part of Wyoming. We enjoyed hearing the wild life while still having access to the road in case of emergency. The lot was pretty clean but did have some remnants of possibly old shelters or sheds of some kind. Having the bathroom was so great even just a pit toilet can change the whole camp experience. Overall it was a nice private area and we felt safe and comfortable.

The campsite was great! Full hookups and very nice hosts. Clean and safe site. Able to walk to restaurants easily, trading post has groceries, fishing/camp supplies and laundry.. Lake very close by. Great location. We were just driving through but would stay here again for a longer time if we come this way again.

Beautiful spot within 45 minutes of Yellowstone’s east entrance. Steep and rocky uphill drive to the camping spot but I was able to make it with my Buick Encore. Friendly host.
