Wonderful Wilderness Waterfall

This spot is more of a communal campground than one site. There are at least 4 places to set up a tent (including a dedicated tent platform) depending on the number of cars and how you park. There are 2 fire pits, a propane grill and lots of seating options. I camped solo but I'm anxious to come back with a few friends to share the generous space.
Of course the standout feature is the waterfall. While you aren't at the water's edge, the elevated site is a great vantage point for the mountains and wilderness. The host has made great use of the location by building out little pathways to cozy seating areas in the hillside. And although there is an adjacent neighbor, the entire site felt very private.
Another great feature is the location. There are so many nearby hikes of all levels. And having civilization nearby is a great backup plan in case you forgot something or want to explore the local towns.
It's clear Benoit has worked hard to make this a unique space that adds some comforts to primitive camping. I highly recommend it and will be back soon.

Camping with the best view

We loved car camping on Benoit’s land, the view of the waterfall is breathtaking. The directions to find the campsite were very clear. We specifically love this campsite because it’s not too far away from civilization but you also still feel secluded. You even occasionally hear the train go by which is cool. There’s a trail that leads to the bottom of the waterfall area and that was definitely the highlight of the weekend. The bathroom area is a really nice feature as well . We can’t wait to come back in the summer.

Great spot!

This is a great spot to get away for the weekend. The site is quite spacious (& could easily accommodate 2-3 tents) and felt pretty private. It is in a private community, but we rarely heard or saw other people while in camp. The trains passing by were surprisingly loud but relatively infrequent and didn’t detract from our experience. The solar lights throughout camp, deck to set the tent on, picnic tables, propane grill, and Adirondack chairs were all great touches. Over our stay (9/6-9/8) only one port potty was on site, not two like others had mentioned, that did not appear to have been serviced in quite some time based on the service record/condition which was a bummer but really the only ‘negative’ of our stay. There is access down to the river from the road near the site, which I wish would have been better communicated prior to arrival as we didn’t discover that access until the last day. The on property trail (that the owner mentioned in previous review responses is their project/under construction) didn’t feel quite doable with our dogs. We did still enjoy the river view from site & spent a day on the river via the Big Eddy Public Access about 15 minutes drive from camp. Overall, this is a beautiful place to stay & we are looking forward to coming back in the future with a small group.

Paradise at Waterfall Camp!

We absolutely loved Waterfall Camp. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, and the site itself is beautiful and private, with lots of small touches (well-placed and CLEAN double outhouse facilities, solar lights around the site to light the pathways at night, hammock hooks already installed and ready to use, plus two picnic tables that came in very handy, to name a few). But the magic of Waterfall Camp is found in the surrounding forest and the river and waterfall below, where you can explore the vast beach and take a swim or soak up the rays - something for everyone. We loved hearing and seeing the trains pass through, which wasn’t too loud at all. We’ll be back as soon as our schedule permits!

I loved camping here! It was easy to find. Felt private without being isolated with the exception of one vehicle parking on the road by the camp site to use a near by path to the river. The views and easy access to hikes were exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed the hammock spots and the solar lights around the property. Plenty of seating and eating spots.

Incredible location with stunning views. River noise was good to fall asleep to at night. 2 CLEAN portapotties on site. Minimal cell coverage (1 bar T-Mobile LTE), which we didn’t consider to be a bad thing. There’s trail access down to the river, leading to many great swimming and relaxing options. We brought trekking poles with us and would recommend using them through this trail. Solar lights and log splitter were great to have on site. No need to pack kindling. We had plenty of space to position and maneuver our teardrop trailer.

Very nice spot, with a great view! Yes, there are a few properties nearby, but the skykomish river is top notch. If you want to get down to for river access, you can take a road nearby and have a fun adventure getting down there. Sleeping was nice. Trains are nearby but they don't toot their horns. Some bugs, so bring your spray. Bridal veil falls is nearby, which is a great hike for the morning. We'd come back here for sure.

Waterfall camp was breathtaking! Our host was very responsive and extremely accommodating.
It was just 2 of us but there is plenty of room for multiple families to utilize the spot.
I hope to return someday in the summer!

The experience was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only critique is the missed opportunity for the trail down to the river. We would have been down there more if it was easier to get to. But the space and views were amazing! Would definitely book again in the future.

Absolutely gorgeous view. So very stunning. And the owners really made it into a nice little campsite. The listing does say it’s in a private community but does not state just how close it is to other people. The campsite itself shares a half wall with a tiny home. We left our first night because it felt like we were camping in someone’s backyard; we kept hearing lots of tool noises and like people were walking up to our campsite and made us too paranoid to stay the night. There wasn’t a single picture of the campsite with the neighbors, only the gorgeous view.

Gorgeous spot! Very well maintained and the views were amazing.
Host was very responsive and helpful.
Will definitely be back to hit up one of the many, many trails in the area.

We enjoyed our time at the Waterfall camp! There are several platforms to set up your tent, but we enjoyed staying closer to the fire and ended up moving under the trees because it was raining for 7+ hours and into the night. Lots of space to move around and our dogs enjoyed the walk down to the water. Having a bathroom on site was lovely. Super easy directions and would definitely love to go back again when it’s summertime and no rain!

This little private camp site was perfect! You can see all the love and care that has gone into making this site comfortable and fun! Two different fire pits, wood splitter, Adirondack chairs, 2 picnic tables, platforms and open areas for tents, etc. A bathroom area with 2 very clean port o' potties, solar lights throughout that help during the night, and cute decor with even a little free library! Our absolute favorite part of the site was the view, you get a front row seat to a stunning waterfall and river with mountains and trees, almost looks unreal how beautiful it is! The only thing we couldn't easily find was a way down to the water, but it was too cold to swim anyway. The site is in a gated private community and the keypad didn't work, but it was easy to find the lockbox with a clicker. There was a good amount of space for our 2 cars in the site, but just be careful on the gravel/dirt road, it gets pretty bumpy and narrow in some spots. Hosts were wonderful, great with communication and their instructions were easy to follow. We will absolutely want to return, especially since it looks like the hosts are building a little staircase down to a little swing bench and we want to see what new things they do! Thank you so much for such a perfect way to end our summer!! ❤️

Really enjoyed my time here! It was small and private. The views are obviously one of a kind. Used the small trail to go down to the river and enjoyed the day by the water. Saw lots of fish jumping around.
Train is kinda loud at night so if you’re a light sleeper it will wake you up. Saw a bear as well my second day so be sure to have some bear mace and properly package up food during your stay. Hope to come back with friends some day!

Beautiful view! The campsite was perfect me, my pup and 3 friends. We loved the built in platforms for tents, chairs, fire pit and picnic benches provided. The site is very well thought out and feels private. The view is absolutely incredible. We loved having basically the entire river to ourselves. There were some great swimming holes to just chill in the river on a hot day. Ben quick to respond to any questions and was super helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Incredibly beautiful camp site! Quiet and isolated and very thoughtfully set up. We’ve done a lot of camping at state parks and national forests, but this is probably the most beautiful site with a view we’ve stayed!
Also super convenient, 0.3mi around the corner is a “beach” access perfect for swimming and relaxing. Normally we’d seek out a local hike, but as only the 2nd camping trip with our 3mo old, we were happy to take advantage of a relaxing, close adventure we didn’t have to pack up to get to.
We loved this place and will be returning!

Just so you know, there is a very bumpy gravel road to the site that is a couple of miles long off of the highway and you have to drive very slowly. Once you reach the site, if you have a vehicle that’s at least 20’ long, it’s difficult to maneuver and park. We almost got stuck a few times. Once we got there we saw that the views of the waterfall were beautiful. I like that it’s dog friendly, but when we tried walking our dogs, we had to go out to the neighborhood street where we were startled by a large barking dog running towards us; we couldn’t tell at first, but fortunately he was tied up to a long rope. The set up of the site was cozy with lots of shade and Adirondack chairs around a fire pit. Despite the beautiful view, we wouldn’t return in our 20’ RV due to the struggle with pulling into the site because of the steep gravel entrance and being unable to maneuver and park once in the site.

Magical waterfall river camp

This place is beyond gorgeous! The camp itself is so unique,spacious,and feels very private within this quaint community. Benoit has been so kind and helpful,and has put so much TLC into this one of a kind retreat. I loved the chairs,solar lights,wood chopper,and really cool outhouse situation,as well as so many other touches. And of course,that view! It feels surreal.
There are 2 different trails right there to to river. 1 in camp that leads to a very quaint,beautiful,sandy beach and swimming hole. The other is at the end of the road by the camp and shoots you out to another amazing and vast river area. The driftwood and rocks are gorgeous!
On the main road to camp also stems off to Bridal Veil/Lake Serene trails,an absolutely gorgeous hike. Index is just up the road.
I can't wait to return! Thank you Benoit so much for sharing your magical place!

Everything we wanted in a campsite!

We adored camping on Ben & Audrey’s gorgeous site. There is a view of the waterfall and river from quite a bit of the site. Plenty of room for a few tents if you’re camping with friends/family. Quiet property at the end of a private/gated community, so you won’t be bothered by other campers. There are neighboring houses, so not completely private, but you can’t see neighbors or be seen by them while on most of the property (so perfectly secluded!). Two frequently cleaned porta potties wrapped by a cute wooden structure with a shelf/mirrors adds a really nice touch to this glamping experience. Perfect fire pit with rotating grill top to cook, surrounded by 4 wooden Adirondack chairs and unmatched view of the waterfall. A second smaller fire pit with grill top exists by one of the tent sites with a wooden platform (for tent? - we used it for dancing with our toddler). 2 wooden platforms in total and I would say 3-4 places for tents. 2 wooden picnic tables. There’s a also a propane grill, but we couldn’t turn on the tank to use it. This is an incredible place to setup camp and not even have to leave the whole trip (although there are lots of amazing hikes nearby that Ben sent us details about). We caught the only rainy day in July and still loved our trip :) We will be back! Thanks Ben & Audrey!

I loved camping on Benoit's land. The view is nothing short of breathtaking!! The property was so well tended too. Plenty of space to stretch out. I loved all the special little touches. It wasn't hard to feel comfortable.
My only issue was no surprise. The front gate. Code wouldn't work. Which I was told could happen. However there was no way in so, A passerby let me in. I don't think he was too pleased. I had a hard time getting out as well. So if that could be worked out it was serene and perfect!!

BEWARE the neighbor!!!

Beautiful spot but BEWARE of the neighbor!!!! They are obviously very unhappy that camping is next to them and go out of the way to make you feel unwelcome and to make sure your stay is unpleasant. I think it’s a vacation/party house for them as they had a party blasting music and yelling until 2am. I went and very nicely asked if they could possibly move the party inside (they were out on the deck which is directly adjacent to the campsite) at midnight (after listing to the blasting music for 5 hours) I was screamed at, told that “they owned the house and I was just a camper” and “good luck” and to “get off of their property”. They then turned the music up and sang at the top of their lungs off and on until 2am. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful spot but I will never go back. It’s RIGHT next to the house with a fence separating it so no way to get away from the noise if they’re home. Not what I would call a relaxing time.
