Quiet Overnight Parking Spot
Cross Creek is a wonderland of community and nature. Rodney and Tara have developed a system to meet your needs whether passing through or taking a few days or weeks to visit Historic Central Virginia, filled with wineries, horse country, national parks and history. We will be spending time at the farm as time allows, perfect for our family and dogs, easy parking and close to Route 17 a major commuter road. Very, comfortable and a shout out to all we met this Great-full Memorial Day Weekend. Thank you.

We had a great weekend camping on Rodney’s farm. He was very kind to us when we arrived and took us to the tiny home. Inside it has everything you need: full kitchen with an induction burner, shower with hot water, comfy bed in the loft, WiFi, and a great spot for making a campfire and enjoying nature. We would definitely love to stay here again :)

Rodney was an excellent host. A beautiful piece of property. Very peaceful, especially at night falling asleep to the sound of the crickets. We definitely will be revisiting in the near future.

Rodney and Tara have a beautiful piece of property out in the country and were very hospitable. My brother and I stayed in their tiny house for a weekend of golfing. It was comfortable and had everything one would need for their visit. We did not take advantage of visiting their farm animals, but wish we had. The mini-split unit kept the temperature stable and comfy.

Rodney was an amazing and accommodating host. He went above and beyond to help us get settled and troubleshoot our RV issues. Had lots of fire wood ready and available for use. Can't say enough good things about the man and what he did for us. He has a beautiful farm with some amazing working dogs. If you want somewhere chill to stay then this is the place to go. Super friendly and a great area to stay.

This place is GREAT! Rodney is always so helpful. We love it here! We highly recommend and will always come back when we need RV hook ups in Fredericksburg, VA. This time we visited, we didn’t get to interact with the animals sadly since it was freezing and I don’t like the cold, we will try again during another reservation. This was a cozy snowy visit. Oh I did say hi to the doggies in and out though.

We were on the road on the coldest night of the year (at least in our area) and were planning on boondocking overnight at Cracker Barrel. We've never tried out boondocking with the propane heat before, and I was worried that the single battery we have might not get us through the night with the furnace blower, plus a CPAP machine. At the last minute, I found this property, and after messaging a few questions back and forth with Rodney, I knew this place was the solution we were looking for! Rodney stayed up to make sure we arrived and got settled (we didn't officially book until after 9, and didn't arrive until nearly 10pm). I will definitely remember this place, and will likely be dropping through again, as we travel through this area fairly often heading to see family. Rodney is an excellent host, and I feel that he definitely went above and beyond to help these weary and cold travelers out!

Rodney is a great host. It was our first-ever trip. We were traveling to Florida from NY with 3 kids and a dog. Our backing skills are awful since we are newbies. He helped us to park. We made one huge newbie mistake. Which was not taking our 30amp cord. He let us borrow his cord and gave us the info on where to get one. Kids loved the farm. We are planning to stay again on our way back home.

Rodney was an amazing host and I would absolutely stay here again and plan on it as well.. he went above and beyond for us for multiple things. My kids loved the animals especially George, Kyle and Larry the goat. The dogs are amazing and huge. We had some of the chickens eggs and they were great as well. The mulchy site is private on his 5 acre land a little corner of your own and if you don't want to be bothered you won't. He provided a toilet, shower and firewood. My wife got to catch a couple chickens just to prove she could. It was truly an unforgettable experience the night sky is very clear and very little light pollution we got to see a comet and the northern lights while we were there truly amazing!

Had a great time staying at the Tiny Home. Cozy but also had enough space for 2 people. Great for a little retreat, would come back. The eggs were delicious and Rodney is very kind.

This tiny home is adorable. They did a nice job decorating it. I enjoyed my stay. They had a full kitchen (with one burner) and I cooked dinner. I liked how close it was to DC. I wouldn’t plan on staying here for a full weekend though without leaving because you can see the neighbors from the property.

The farm was beautiful and such a nice stay! The tiny home was kept up well and very comfortable. Rodney was responsive and we were very sorry to miss feeding the animals!! Would definitely recommend/stay again!

The tent site is on the far end of the property and feels secluded yet is close enough to walk to see the animals! Rodney was very friendly and let the kids meet all of the animals which they loved. Would definitely stay again

The Mulchy Forest site
Rodney was great. I didn’t reserve the site until the day we were supposed to arrive. Site was great secluded shady lots of trees around. Even then, he responded very quickly. Thank you very much

Rodney and his camp spot were both great! We got to his farm around 8:30 pm and he was there, ready to welcome us. The spot was secluded and felt safe, although the dogs barking sometimes caused some stirring in the night.

Farmside Tiny Home Experience
The tiny house worked out great for me and my 4 year old. It was very comfortable and well-stocked. We had a great time walking around the farm, saying hello to the dogs, goats, and chickens, and sitting around the campfire.
