Beautiful secluded spot, located close to the Long Jetty and the Entrance. We have a 20â caravan and had no problems navigating the narrow road into the back paddock. The dogs absolutely loved it, there are beautiful paths to explore and wander around the property. Perfect for spot for a little R&R from Sydney.

Old Bara camping certainly did not disappoint on our 5 night stay!
+ Hauling a 19â6â caravan through the property was effortless
+ Dog friendlyâŚour boys loved it
+ The view from the picnic table (ask Richard about it) was unbelievable! Stunning place to watch the sun set.
+ Super clean accessible toilets and water to wash your hands
+ Privacy and seclusion, the nearest camper was at least 500m awayâŚalthough this time of year super quiet
+ The wildlife - Birds, rabbits, roos, wallabies, cows, we were lucky enough to see a wombat as well. Only one (Red belly) snake sighting, which is pretty remarkable for this time of year.
+ The grass was cut nice and low
+ Short drive to Mudgee and the local wineries (25 minutes ish)
+ Sally and Richard were fantastic host who greeted us on arrival
The only negative was that we had to leave. Thank you for our beautiful stay.

Amazing location (so close to the wineries) with the most incredible hosts. We brought our 19â6â caravan here for her maiden off the grid experience and this property was perfect. Flat wide open location with plenty of wild life and tranquility. Jan and her partner were super gracious, gave us lots of local information on dog friendly wineries and set us up in a great spot. We didnât need it, but there was a VERY clean toilet on site with all the amenities to feel like home. We couldnât recommend this location more. Thank you.

Gorgeous property with all the outdoor views you hope for when you venture off grid. We set up just near the river before the second river crossing and it was perfect. We had the views of the river, rolling hills, wide open sky and the river path made for a perfect run for our dogs. Take care of you are venturing to this property in all wheel drive in the rain, you will not be able to get back out. We had to tow a fellow camper out. Highly recommend this spot for a little R&R.

We (and the dogs) loved our stay on Mark and Samâs property. Just shy of two hours outside of Sydney, this secluded little spot just off of Putty road has a gorgeous backdrop of rock formations, farmland, trees, a few Roos and cows. Mark was lovely, he left us a generous supply of firewood and checked in on us after arrival. It rained one day so we headed off to Broke, where we enjoyed some of the beautiful local wineries and distilleries. Great spot and fantastic hosts.

Rolling Ridges
in Wollombi Rolling Ridges, New South WalesThe best of everything
This spot is simply amazing. Mel is a fantastic host and her property is gorgeous. A very special place to stay again & again.
Accessibility:
We have a 20ft off-road caravan towed by a Ford Ranger, so accessing the property was not an issue. The dirt road is narrow, bumpy and step in some spots, which made getting in and out all a part of the incredible adventure.
Privacy:
There is only one camp site on the property, which is perfection. It faces a valley, with a perfect view of the surrounding mountain ranges in the hinterland. Melâs house is a few hundred meters up the hill from the site, but not visible from your site. The loo with a view is close to her house and shared with you and her. A short call out âYoo Hoo anyone in the Looâ is all thatâs needed.
The property:
Just wow! Mel has marked a beautiful trail on her property that starts off her access road and leads you through the bushland to the most incredible lookout. We brought our dogs there everyday to watch the sunset as a family. Truly spectacular.
Dog friendly:
The boys loved being off leash, exploring Mels amazing property.
The Host:
Mel is truly one of the best host we have encountered. We bought or wood from her, she brought us extraâŚas it was a bit on the chilly side during our stay. We couldnât quite find the trail when we were out and she walked with us to show us the path. Mel has a gorgeous garden, she gave us a variety of tasty lettuces and herbs during our stay and gave us more to take home.

â Views for days, both from the valley and the entry of the property
â Wild life - curious horse, a trio of alpacas, birdsâŚwe even got lucky and saw a pair of platypus

True perfection.
Site Two (2)
in Tibohine Farm, New South WalesSouthern highland charm
Perfect location shared by the most gorgeous people. Super easy and convenient site to navigate in our 19â6â caravan, site 3 is located in the side yard of Sheree and Gavâs property overlooking bush land, just off the main road in a very quiet neighbourhood. Gav and Sheree recommended great local attractions that were dog friendly so that we go and explore the beauty of the southern highlands. Highly recommend the River Walk in Berrima and lunch at the historic Inn. Thank you both for sharing your lovely property with us.
