The tent setup at this Hipcamp is quite nice. They have everything you need for cooking, and I could spend all day in that tent! Reasonably close to Yosemite, without all the hassle of trying to get a campsite in the valley.

You're also a 2-minute walk into town which was super helpful for getting groceries or grabbing food when we were too tired to cook :D

One thing to note is that the tent is not super secluded. Also - the bathroom is definitely a work in progress, as the tents definitely deliver the glamping experience but the rest of the site still has work to be done!

If it's cold the weekend you plan on coming, definitely bring plenty of blankets and enjoy!

Bill screen shelter is fantastic. It feels private and has a great view of Seneca Lake. Bill was a pleasure to interact with. It’s a quick walk to a private shore and dock on the lake, where you can kayak and canoe. So close to great food, wine, and hiking.

The Mongolian Wall Tent was spectacular. First off: there is a heated bathtub - what better way to start or end a day exploring? The Wall Tent gets amazing, soft light in the mornings, making waking up here all the more magical. There is a porch along the far side of the Wall Tent that looks over a small clearing in the woods, and a rocking chair to sit and pass time in. The place stays very warm with the wood-powered stove. It has a full kitchen which makes cooking a breeze as well.

Staying here is an absolute luxury, can't think of a place I'd rather be while exploring this area.

What an incredible place to stay. Jason and Joan were extremely welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. They’re extremely flexible with how you want to camp: Enjoy the beautiful campsites they’ve created, or find a patch in the woods to call your own. The campsite we chose was well set up with a hammock overlooking the valley through a clearing, fire pit, and great spots to pitch tents. All while being deep in the woods.

The farm is really interesting. Jason and Joan have quite a few cool housing and farming projects going on, and animals to meet. How can you resists playing with baby goats? It was a blast hanging out with them. Tons of trails to hike on the property as well!

On multiple occasions we drove down to a local lake to swim and cool off. We also checked out the beautiful waterfalls and trails in Thacher State Park, which was really close by. Finally, Jason does tours of the this incredible cave close by, which I'd highly recommend.

I came up to D Acres with a few friends for a relaxing weekend away from the city. Being only a few hours from Boston, the drive amongst the fall colors wasn't long enough! D Acres has been a must-stop for climbers/hikers coming to Rumney/The White Mountains for a long time. The vibe at this place is about as chill as it can get, and was just full of awesome people. Camping in the meadow and sharing the outdoor kitchen with everyone had a great community feel to it. Having the option to spend some time inside the hostel was convenient, whether it was to warm up or for an awesome breakfast. I can't think of a better base for exploring that part of New Hampshire.
