Past trip
in Little Canyon, New MexicoThis is a great place for car camping or car sleeping as I did. Much to my surprise the birdwatching was incredible. I identified at least 25 species. But it wasnât all about the birds. The host is super gracious. I enjoyed our conversations and meeting her son.. The land is spacious and diverse. Unfortunately, the river was dry, but that made it walkable. This is a place where I am already considering a future visit. I felt safe and even a bit secluded, although there are houses on the ridges. It is pretty quiet, especially at night. There isnât much of a cell signal. I did not use the home Internet.

Sister Pine Organic Farm Oaks Camp
in Sister Pine Organic Farm, GeorgiaCould be the serenity you need
I have been to a dozen or more Hipcamps, sometimes to overnight in between destinations and sometimes for a few days to rejuvenate. Little did I know that Marsha's land would be the one-nighter that I had scheduled but also a morning to melt into the privacy of the trees, have my cofee in the outdoor kitchen, and rejuvenate with an outdoor hot shower (the best I have experienced). The next time I am in the area I want to stay at the hidden land, walk the trail by the river and swing from the tree. She took me to both sites and gave me the option. The latter might be best for cars, tent campers, but worth asking about. I was driving a hightop van. I don't want to gush but for me, this hipcamp had nature, privacy, amenities, safety, easy access and I am probably forgetting something. Please follow the directions that she gives you. They are spot on.
Past trip
in Edisto River Retreat, South CarolinaMimi G.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
All the wonderful comments about Ian are true. He is welcoming and as helpful as you need. However, the fee is too high for this primitive stay and it is primitive. I was there two nights, one without power and one with. I paid the same price for both. We all have our comfort zones and desires for Hipcamp accommodations. This one was not a fave for me but it serves the person who wants to camp and access a river.
Past trip
in Backyard RV Camp, KentuckyThis is a quiet, safe, annd easy to access place to stay for night. It was awesome that I had electric because it was a cold. We had exchanged many texts about my arrival, the sunset, and the sound of farm animals. I am in a 19 foot vehicle and it was easy for me to park. There was plenty of room to turn around if needed. Donât hesitate to connect with them if you need a place to stay not far from Mammoth Cave.
Past trip
in Dancing Creek Farm, OregonStay here if youâre looking for a place to kick up your heels for a few days. Thereâs room to roam and itâs quiet. Ron is a great host be sure to tell him if you are âşď¸ or in a rig.
Past trip
in Big Valley Camp, WashingtonLets be honest, it is sometimes about the land but mostly about the host. Matthew greeted me, helped me with power (to which I was not able to safely connect), and he was willing to help me level my van. The property is on a hill but depending on your preferences, there is always a way to make it work. The goats are a bonus!

(Dispersed site)
Iâll just put these adjectives here: convenient, quiet, generous, helpful, and woodsy. My 3-day stay was in Nov amidst extreme weather. I was pretty level, had 30 amps, and was able to spend one day just chilling in my van on the site. Regret not purchasing Mead.
Past trip
Wandering Oak Farm
in Wandering Oak Farm, OregonWandering Oak Farm begs you to linger under the oaks or wait for the moon in the open space. It is a place where the past and present converge through family history and a sustainable vision. Songbirds are plentiful, and wildlife may surprise you. Easy access if you follow Tracey's directions. Consider it for a night or two while you sightsee at Crater Lake, float the Rogue River, visit a winery, farm, or other local highlights.
Mimi hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.

Secluded Glen on Prayer Mountain
in Prayer Mountain Mushroom Farm, KentuckyPlenty
This property is plentiful. Likely a word that describes it in any season. I visited in early October. And although the leaves were falling and wildflowers were waning there was plenty of space, plenty of quiet, and plenty of beauty to photograph. The hosts are as present you need, basically I would not have met them except my order of mushrooms and eggs had not gone through the system so they were personally delivered within apology. Definitely read the descriptions. The access could be a little challenging to navigate depending on your vehicle.

Forest Room in My Little Tuscany
in My Little Tuscany, OregonGetaway
Getaway, yep that is the word. Getaway from your tent or camper to the oak tree. Getaway for a stroll around the property where, even in early fall, wildflowers were blooming. Getaway to experience the little sights and sounds in the gardens. I stayed two nights in my van, lingering all day in a book. This is a beautiful place to stay in a tent or small vehicle. I want to visit in summer next time.
Spacious Orchardside Tent
in Kings Valley Gardens, OregonMore than blueberries
Crepuscular light brought a distant cacophony of nature sounds and the night beckoned me to watch the stars grow brighter while a few meteors drew lines across the darkness. Then to awake with a golden sunrise and dew escaping into the morning air. And if that was not enough, the next day provided time to pick and eat a few blueberries. Andrea is a welcoming and wonderful host who gives you ample time and space to walk the garden and/or enjoy the privacy of your tent. A short walk to the orchard where you will find a communal outdoor kitchen, outdoor compost toilet (lovingly know as the otter house), and a shower. Andrea and John's respect and passion for the land is evident in how we were treated, their creative resources, and the earth's bounty.
