Past trip
in Bear Den Cabins & Camp, South DakotaTammy has put so much care into creating a safe, welcoming escape for the people who stay with her. She is so thoughtful (down to having extra hair ties in the bathroom - which is the nicest camp bathroom I've ever been in btw!), and so hospitable. You can tell how much she loves hosting people. The sites are cozy and the communal cooking areas have everything you could need. There's laundry on site and even a freezer with ice bags for your cooler! There's really nothing she hasn't thought of to make your stay more than comfortable, you truly feel like you're home! Location couldn't be better, you feel remote but are so close to Custer State Park, Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and the beautiful playground of the Black Hills. If I'm ever back in the area I'll be sure to stay here again! Thanks Tammy!
Past trip
in Desert Moon Campground and RV Park, UtahMarleigh D.doesn't recommend this listing.
(Dispersed site)
This place is definitely pretty funky and off the beaten path, I have no problems with that. Altho the sites were sparse with not nearly as much shade as Iâd expected from the listing, the people seemed nice and the bathrooms were decent and they didnât mind my dog wandering around to sniff stuff. My biggest issue was the train. If you are a light sleeper as I am, I would definitely not recommend this place. The train came screeching by blasting its horn at 11pm, 2:30am, and again at 5am. After a long, hot day exploring the parks in Moab I was really looking forward to a good nights sleep. It turned out to be one of the worst Iâve had in a very long time.
Past trip
in Montana Country & Stone Barns, MontanaStaying here was such a treat! Becky and her husband were such wonderful hosts, it was so fun talking travels with them and they had some great recommendations in town. The birds will get you up early and I was there on an especially hot day so the heat lingered in the barn most of the night but other than that this was a truly great experience. Thanks so much!
Marleigh hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
