Past trip
in Slippery Rock Trails LLC, MaineThis hipcamp site was very beautiful and a great place to stay. The pictures and the reviews represent it very well, and we had a great time. Here are a few things that would be good to know if you are planning to stay here:
1. The sleeping loft has a full-size mattress, but the ceiling is about 2 feet off the ground, making it better suited for an independent child who can climb up a ladder to sleep than an adult who may have a hard time crawling on the floor to get into bed.
2. There are tent sites along the water, right in the view from the cabin. There were about 3 groups staying down there when we were there, which made it feel a little less private than we were expecting, although they didn't come up close to the cabin at all.
3. I was hoping that we would be able to access a place to swim from the cabin, but there didn't seem to be any way into the water (it was blocked by bushes/trees). We drove down the road a bit to a public access area that had a dock and a small sandy beach, which was fine and not too crowded.
Overall, the space was beautiful and the cabin was very cute, and I would go back!

Past trip
in Hazelbrook Cabin at Full Plate Farm, MaineOur stay at Hazel's cabin was amazing! The cabin was perfectâso cute and thoughtfully adorned. We were provided with eggs and strawberries and some absolutely beautiful peonies. The farm is very close to the ocean, including a cute beach (Pemaquid). I would highly recommend staying here. One warning: one evening we built a fire to toast marshmallows for s'mores and I got completely devoured by mosquitoes, despite repeated applications of bug spray.

MORNING MIST
in WildWalkWays at Eastern Plant, MaineThere was a glitch through hipcamp that allowed us to book a site that was already taken. Luckily Mark could accommodate us, but there was no firepit at our site. Everything was well set up and he provided drinking water, solar lights to help us find our site in the dark, and a pretty cool, private portable toilet situation. Also, there were shockingly few bugs, which Mark told us was because he had treated the area. Cool place to camp with some fun stuff to visit nearby!

in Quarry Brook, VermontThis was beautiful! The view was amazing, the accommodations were perfect, and it was a great, fun getaway.
Past trip
in Toad Hill, New HampshireCool yurt in a very remote location. The location was pretty hard to get to due to a very bumpy, sometimes steep dirt road, but once up there, it was very peaceful and private. Make sure to check with the host for directions before going, and there were a few things I wasn't sure how to use, but I didn't have cell service so I had no way to ask.
Past trip
in Magpie and Jaebird's Little A-frame, MassachusettsCute place that was so accessible from the main roads that I was doubtful I was actually going to be "camping" and not pitching a tent next to someone's mailbox. But then I was led down a path next to a stream and found myself surrounded by trees and totally secluded. Great!
Kamian hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.

in river valley magic awaits..., ConnecticutThis was an amazing site! I could have stayed here all summer. The property was beautiful, spacious, and well-designed. The hosts were so kind and helpful! The pool was amazing. We set up our tent between two trees for shade and the weather was absolutely beautiful so we left the rain fly off the tent and could see the full moon rising over us. I would recommend this place a million times over!
