Yurt was beautifully crafted. When I entered I could smell the fresh wood and it really made us feel at home. Such a quiet and peaceful place that I would highly recommend.
Cool yurt in a very remote location. The location was pretty hard to get to due to a very bumpy, sometimes steep dirt road, but once up there, it was very peaceful and private. Make sure to check with the host for directions before going, and there were a few things I wasn't sure how to use, but I didn't have cell service so I had no way to ask.
Justin gave great directions to the yurt and had no troubles finding our way. We were very happy to see when we arrived campfire wood available for sale. The charge was $5 for a filled crate. There were also plenty of matches to get a fire started.
We brought our own sleeping bags, but it was a pleasant surprise to find pillows available for use. I would recommend bringing a pillowcase.
The outhouse really over met my expectations, but I have done mostly been backwoods camping and only have car camped twice in my life and so I guess it's all about perspective.
We were very confused about where the trails were from the yurt and gave up on going very far from the yurt. The description mentioned shower facilities available but we had no idea where these were and we did not have service on our phones to inquire about these. We think we found the swimming hole behind and just down the hill from the yurt. If it was a swimming hole...it looked a little too stagnant for us to comfortably swim in, but it would be a great place to grab a bucket of water from to put out a campfire.
There looked like there was a way to have battery and/or solar power to use lamps and power a few devices but there were no directions on how to use these items or they may have not been working.
One of my favorite things about our stay is that Justin didn't require more than a one night stay! Most yurts in the vicinity required at least two nights. We were passing through on our way to Franconia and only needed one night so this really fit into our plans.
Just down the road at the Stow Corner Store and Cafe they serve amazing food. They have a very extensive menu. We loved their baked items, chili and pizza. The ice cream was a very tasty treat too.
All in all we had a great experience at Justin's yurt!

This place is secluded for sure. There was a long bumpy dirt road into the forest. We didn't do much exploring around the sight because the bugs were thick in early august, and we couldn't find a trail/weren't confident where the waterfall was.
We weren't sure what was provided for sleeping, and we were glad we brought sleeping pads because the one futon wasn't super comfortable, and while it probably could've fit 2 people, we split up.
It seems like there is some sort of hookup for electricity but we couldn't figure it out. And there was no cell phone service, which we expected.
Cool Yurt. Great area of Maine/NH
So grateful that the folks at the bottom of Toad Hill posted the sign, "yes, Airbnb this way." This yurt is an engineering marvel! It was quaint, cozy and if not so very far from my Ohio home, I'd def return for a longer stay. Though we did not get to meet Justin, the guest book contained page after page of compliments for his hospitality.

Great place! Yurt was amazing. Really a piece of art. Everything was taken care of and just a fun environment. Friendly host. Will return! Thanks you
We loved the Yurt since it is truly remote and very cozy. The bed was comfy and the general vibe of the place is fun. We did somd nice cooking on the campfire with the convenient prep area. We did the dirt road with our regular sedan (Sonata) but you have to go really slow and watch the road quite closely for peaks or holes.
Don’t change a thing! Great weather, great foliage, and great Milky Way (and Mars!). We’ll be back!
It was everything I hoped for and more. This was our 3rd trip to Toad Hill and they just keep getting better and better. We are hoping to stay at each original site and know we will be staying at some more than once.
Plenty to do, or if you don't want to do anything it's a great place to just relax.
This is definitely a place we plan on revisiting and sharing with our family and friends that we know will also appreciate the beauty of it.
Thank You Justin for being such a wonderful host and sharing Toad Camp with us.

Thanks for coming and leaving the place in excellent condition. Most of The lights have little switches on them and are run by small solar panels. The lights should be shut off at night so they can charge during the day. As the guest stated, cell service can be limited so check in with me before arrival in case I'm not there to greet you in person.
