If you are into kayaking you canât beat this spot. We put in close to Caesar Creek and kayaked to our campsite. The hosts offered to take us to the pit in place and offered us tubes just to sit in the river near their place. The camp site was very private but there was a bathroom down the way and a water spigot. We got great cell reception (Verizon) and my daughter could even do an online class there with a hotspot. Also plenty of wood!

What a nice place! We felt like we had the entire woods to ourselves. Our dogs loved swimming in the pond and we even found the treehouse. There is so much space! It was the perfect way for our family to spend my birthday weekend! The kids had a blast.
By the way we got a nearly perfect signal on Verizon- enough to listen to the OSU game around the fire.

Oh my goodness! Jay s the BEST. We did tent camping and he hooked us up with floaties for the kids and two kayaks. He also took my daughter for a ride on his ATV and she still talks about it. My kids enjoyed playing with his dog Winston. And our two little dogs absolutely loved the property. We had a little deck overlooking the lake. It made for beautiful mornings and awesome sunsets. The lake was great for the kids to swim in and my son even ordered food from the tavern, which has a pretty large menu. Jay gave us great advice on what to see next on our trip and he has amazing plans to improve the property, which is fairly newly acquired. This was one of our best places to stay in our trip to NY state.

Sam is a great host. He was very friendly. He gave us great suggestions on what to see and do in the area. We stayed up on the hill underneath the pines and it was very cozy and private. We can down the hill to use the communal kitchen and get water. Sam has lots of plans to add more options to the property. He has already done so much in a short amount of time. We'd love to come back and see how much he improves it.
