Michelle and her Husband were excellent hosts. Great Cabin was a lot of fun and very comfortable. Nice little creek in the back. I recommend parking at the top of the hill unless you have 4x4. Not the owner’s fault at all just Mother Nature and a little thing called slopes.
Gorgeous & easy getaway spot
Wonderful, perfect place. Privacy, gorgeous nature access, AND the convenience of modern facilities — it’s like rustic glamping, if that’s a thing. And as a bonus, this place was HAND BUILT by the host’s father, so it’s an interesting place with a story to boot! Hosts were very helpful, prompt and accommodating - even tested the oven for me before I left to make sure I could do some bread baking while I was there. All in all a wonderful getaway. Would love to return & make it a regular thing!
The hosts are awesome. It was really cool chatting with them, and learning about the history of the cabin. The trees kept the cabin shaded most of the day, and the ample amount of provided fans were great for keeping air circulating. The view it the back deck, shows the creek and trees, and am abundance of wildlife to watch. The view from the front, shows a nice hill, and pond. It was great at night for start gazing.
Honey Run Falls, is only a 15 minute drive, as well as Coshocton, if you need provisions. Mayor's Corner is also just 5 minutes, in West Bedford. Small selection of snacks, some food items, drinks, and a pizza shop!
Amazing cabin and amazing hosts. We went through quite a bit of firewood and each day they brought more over for us. Really enjoyed our stay here, hope to come back in the future. SUPER secluded place to have a great time with a few friends.
Above and beyond expectations.
The cabin was absolutely adorable and a great place to stay. Michelle was more than accomidating. She was not only quick to respond but really went out of her way to make sure any need we had was handled. Thanks again for an awesome experience.
We had a nice time here but I don't feel the price was in line with what we received. The GPS coordinates for the site was off so we had trouble finding it which is very problematic in an area we cell reception is virtually non-existent. We were eventually able to get a hold of the hosts and meet them at their home and they guided us down.
The A-frame cabin itself is nice but is poorly appointed for cooking (for example no colander or a frying pan). It felt more like staying at someones home (complete with a closet full of clothes from the 70's) and none of their old stuff had be cleared out (including old greeting cards and cabinets full of screws).
We had a nice time, the area was lovely, and the hosts were very nice. I think if they clean the place out and lower the price then it would be a great deal.
We had a great time! The cabin was nice and very private. There is a campground close by but no one was there during our trip so we had the whole area to ourselves. It rained while we were there and we had trouble getting back up the hill and back to the road. Thats not Michelle's fault just a note or future visitors. We'd definitely go back again!
