Past trip
in Big Rock Ranch, OregonSuper lovely tiny home, loved the whole stay and wish it were longer! Came with my 9.5 year old kiddo and he basically wanted to move here. Raina let him gather eggs aka help feed the chickens. Weâll be back!
Past trip
in Timber Sands, OregonSweet spot! family friendly!
Great host, and we happened to make friends with neighbor campers with kids the same age as ours. Really welcoming and cool, my son wants to come back to see the progress on Jesseâs multiple efforts!
To note, if youâre not familiar with the area, there are ATVâs on the dunes very nearby and you will hear them through the day. If total peace and quiet is your desire this might not work. We were also there Memorial Day weekend so there may have been more ATV traffic than normal.
Past trip
in HolisticLifeFarm Clatskanie OR, OregonSpontaneous campout with kids + dog
Super cute A frame, Paul and Becky very friendly, great 24 hour getaway. They provided a lead to tie up the dog not so he could still walk around. Cute sheep, cows, and goats!
Past trip
in Experience Heaven, OregonHeaven in winter is right.
Absolutely magical. Remote. Serene. Quiet. Kids could just run out into the snow. We loved the gers and our trip. David is an incredible host.

Best!! We did a last minute run out of town with the kids because we could. The kids demanded i say the following (they are nearly 5 and 8 years old for reference) âbest campsite everâ, âbest place everâ, âcan we come back a lot over the winter?â So, yea, solid win. Communication with Whitney is great. Her dog is cute, one warning, if you think the dog is cute escorting your car as you leave, stop and get him back up to the house. He cut through the bushes and suddenly was running with us down the main road and we had to get him into our car and bring him back, he got a lot of attention from passing cars for a few minutes there. ;)
Past trip
in CedarRose Farm, MontanaLoved everything! We came the right weekend, had no idea there was a monthly farmers market on site, we got to meet so many great people in the community, support the fundraiser for their fire district, and get a tour up the road of the Lasy Daisy Goat Farm (and animal rescue).
Our camp site was what we needed, no frills, flat, and served our needs.
Morgan and Chris are awesome hosts, if youâre deciding where to stay you should stay here.
Note, a train goes by a few times a night, if youâre a light sleeper this might not be good, was fine for us.
Also note, thereâs wildlife! This is very near the Missouri River (just over the tracks), so know you might be hearing critters walk around, or howl in the distance.
Past trip
in The Aspen Grove Inn at Heise Bridge, IdahoThis was an amazing base camp to see things around the area (hot springs, zip lines) and into Wyoming (90 minute drive). The facilities are amazing and we felt so safe and welcomed, wonderful experience.
