VIEWS #1 ~ Campsite near Mesa Verde
in Bright Star Campground, ColoradoEasy to find, great amenities, showers were great! Would totally visit again.
#1 Sand Point Panoramic Valley View
in Silicon Valley View, CaliforniaWonderful views!
Great camp spot, #1 has a beautiful view of the mountain range and Morgan Hill below. The place was easy to get to, the reception was usable and they provided a trash bin and the option to use their fire pit with your own gas. Driving up the dirt road was fun, but would definitely agree, you would need a 4x4 when it rains (which would make it more fun). Nice jump place to visit Madonna County Park or even Watsonville.
Site 3 - Mountain view camping
in Grand Canyon Mountain view dome, ArizonaHad a great visit, the place was clean, easy to find, and about 35-40 mins from the Grand Canyon. Photos and previous reviews are pretty accurate.
Thanks for having us!
Wendee's Whimsical Camp Site
in Wendee's Whimsical Campsite, CaliforniaWith Wendee's Whimsical Camp Site being our 9th Hipcamp visit, we've truly found our favorite spot! What welcoming hosts and such an amazing spot! The amenities provided, the attention to detail in the campsite, was wonderful and such a highlight! Though we only stayed one night, we wished we booked for a longer weekend! A recommended and totally worth visiting spot to enjoy!
Site 6 - Campsite right outside Lassen NP
in Mill Creek Resort, CaliforniaWhat a great gem to find! Check-in & Out was super easy! The campsites were nice and not packed tightly, together. Actual restroom and shower facilities, we totally look forward to visiting again!
Site 1 - Camp at our farm sanctuary!
in Love Creek Sanctuary!, CaliforniaStaying at the Love Creek Sanctuary was truly enjoyable! Just to be able to get away from crowded areas and relax and enjoy the animals was a blast! The Moo'ing of the cows, squawking of the little birds to the braying of the donkeys, had us one day wishing we could have a farm. Shanna was a joy to talk with and her heart for the animals is truly impactful!
Site 4 - Covered Campsite
in LOGE Mt. Shasta, CaliforniaNeat and out of the way spot, pretty accessible from the main highway. The layouts of the covered spots were pretty neat and was truly helpful as the weather was cold and snow was coming in. Was great to have a restroom and shower near an the open hang out area was pretty cool.
To be aware:
The train does pass every so often, hitting their horns, don't be startled, it can be loud.
The shower areas have a bit to be desired. There are no surface areas, counter space, hooks on the door or wall, or anything to place your clean clothes on. I had to literally place my clean cloths and towel on top of my dirty shoes, so they wouldn't touch the ground near where I was showering.
Outside of that, would still totally stay again!
Roadrunner Farm, Zinfandel
in Roadrunner Farm, CaliforniaCamping at Roadrunner Farm was excellent! Sara was super responsive, friendly, and was excellent in sharing ideas for sightseeing and niche places to eat at. The place was quiet and clean, easily accessible, and only about 14-20 mins from downtown Redding. The true height was the outdoor shower! Literally one of the best camp showers I've had!! Thanks so much for having us, we totally need to still visit Lassen and hope to see you again!
Lakeside Tent Cabins
in Bridgeport Reservoir Campground, CaliforniaCamping alongside the Bridgeport Reservoir in the Lakeside Tent Cabins was a pretty neat experience! We arrived a tad later in the afternoon, almost early evening, but Chase was understanding and super friendly (note: AT&T reception is pretty limited in this area). The tent cabin was near where you could walk down to the waterline, the place was super clean and had easy access. We wished we stayed an extra night. The weather got to the low 30's, which wasnt' a big deal, as excidedly, the tent cabin had its own propane heater and power to charge our phones, talk about glamping! It was great to wakeup to a great view and have breakfast on the deck. Though the tents are near the highway, noise wasn't an issue as the area isn't heavily travelled.
Site 2 - Fir Tree Camp in Forest
in Harris Family Farm and Forest, CaliforniaVisiting the Harris Family Farm and Forest and meeting Jane was a great experience! Though we arrived later in the evening, Jane was super attentive and shows us up to our campsite. Truly, truly, try Jane's desserts and take something home! Amazing pies! At campsite #2, the red dirt people commented on, wasn't bad at all, though the ground does have an angle that makes it a little odd to sleep on. All in all, would totally visit again!
Site 5 - The Meadows of Isleton
in The Meadows at Isleton, CaliforniaOur stay at the meadows of isleton!
Our stay at The Meadows of Isleton was truly a treat and we couldn't recommend it enough to fellow campers! We've been camping 1-2's a month and having visted several "one and done" types of places; with The Meadows, we hadn't even left and already wanted to visit again! Photos didn't do the place justice. The camping spots are nicely spaced out (no-one is right up on you), though we didn't setup a campfire, the fire rings are the super nice ones and large. The bathrooms were clean, and as a whole, the place was nicely maintained! Michael & Terri were super personable, wonderful to talk with and truly appreciate how welcoming they were! Purchased a jar of their honey, kicking myself for not buying another. A personal heighlight was being able to pet and feed the cows, Melvin & Sweet Roy! We left, wanting to have our own farm one day.
Site 2 - Summerset Farm Camp
in Summerset Farm, CaliforniaMy group of friends had a great experience camping at Summerset Farms. The directions to the grounds were spot on, with super easy access and a great jump spot to see sights around the area. Camping on an open farm, being able walk around among the sunflowers, being able to see the animals, was awesome! Liz was super friendly, introduced us to Tom (the cat), allowed us to pet the baby goats and showed us around. The portapotty was clean and maintained, there was water on site (which was awesome, didn't have to tote gallons with us) and also provded a water jug next to the firepits. Campspots #1 and #2 are in the open, #3 has tree coverings. One downside (not related to our expierence with the farm in anyway) and as other reviewers noted, you're near a main road and it can get loud in the evenings, there was drag racing around 4am one night for a few mins.
All in all, would totally visit Summerset Farms again, might try again in the Spring to see all the flowers and the grounds in bloom. Totally would recommend to peeps for a rural farm expierence.
