Secluded Spruces
in The Green Heron, New YorkLove love love this spot
Best campsite weâve foundâhands down.
We originally booked the Secluded Spruces site at Craigâs Green Heron property, and it was greatâprivate, peaceful, and well-maintained. But while exploring the land, we came across the In the Pines site⌠and wow. Instantly knew we had to ask if we could switch.
Craig was incredibly kind and flexibleâhe let us move since no one else had it booked. Even if we had stayed at Secluded Spruces, we wouldâve had a great time. But In the Pines truly felt like a hidden gem. Tons of shade, total privacy, and trees perfectly spaced for hammocks. It felt like our own little forest retreat.
The location is also fantastic. Just a short drive to some amazing hikes (Lucifer Falls is a must), and close to Ithaca for great food, shops, and everything else you could want for a perfect trip.
This was easily one of the best campsites weâve found anywhere in the U.S.âa perfect balance of nature, comfort, and location. Weâll definitely be back.
12 out of 10. Highly recommend.

in Starlight Hills, North CarolinaCamping on top of a mountain
Hands down, this is one of the best campgrounds I've been to.
Hiking trails, 2 amazing overlooks with incredible mountain views, privacy within the site, and we'll maintained. The outdoor shower was INCREDIBLE. Firewood delivered right to our site. Checkout was at eleven, William encouraged us to pack up and park in the common area and feel free to roam the grounds a little bit longer. He was a great host and his passion for the camp is abundantly clear.
STAY HERE! You will not regret it
Forest site
in Upper Green Dream, North CarolinaSite 3 - GREEN ACRES RV SITE
in Green Acres Campground, West VirginiaBeautiful views!
The view was SPECTACULAR! I had the cutest little kitty visit my site, too. I needed a quick place to stay as I was travelling to meet a friend and couldn't make the trip in one drive. I felt very safe with a locked gate. The restroom was clean and much appreciated. I highly recommend this campsite, and I'll be back if I find myself in the area again.
CEDAR MEADOWS

in LeRoy & Paula's Alpacas, ArizonaMidway Point
in Midway camp, TexasListing is inaccurate
Although the property was kind of messy and not well-maintained (old grills and a toilet on the lawn for example) that didnât really bother me. However, I was disappointed that the listing says there are showers and a toilet but there are none available. I asked and Mike told me I could use the bathroom next door. He was referring to the bar across the busy highway- less than ideal. The space to camp in was fairly close to the house and not very private. Overall I wonât complain because it was inexpensive, but I wouldnât have booked if the listing was correct regarding amenities.
Fox Nook
in Bluegill Hill, ArkansasStay here!
Fox Nook was absolutely perfect! It was exactly as described- perhaps even better!! Plenty of firewood available, clean campsite and toilet area, lots of privacy and a short walk to the beautiful lake. Charles had me well stocked with firewood and a few tips about the place as well. He was awesome! I will absolutely be back- highly highly recommended!
Off grid hippie farm experience
in The Garden, TennesseeBeautiful
It is exactly what it says it is, and it was perfect. I was met at the front, given a brief walking tour and given several options of where I could camp. The community of people who live and/or work there were so welcoming. Several times a day they blow a horn for their meals or hot coffee. I was always invited to partake. I didnât have anything to offer in return (though they never made me feel like I should offer anything in return) so I only joined for the company and entertainment. Ukulele by the fire, chatting with the wonderful people on the grounds or walking about and looking at the flowers and garden beds. I was made to feel safe and had my privacy, even though I chose to camp next to the chicken coop.
It was beautiful and perfect. As long as you arenât disruptive and are kind in return, youâll have a wonderful stay. I certainly did.
Sticks 2
in Sticks 2, New YorkHighly recommended!
Highly recommend staying here. The cabin is spacious and rustic, and very beautifully decorated. Everything we could possibly have needed was provided- even some cold beverages in the fridge. The room was large enough to play cornhole in! Perfect place for a small group of friends to get away for a weekend. We will be back for sure.
Many thanks to Keith and Ann!
